I just hope we dont encounter Shadow Pokemon. This kind of thing is so horrible. Make pokemon more violence and savage though that process...Its disgusting.

If Shadow pokemon came back, that'd be...worrying, because it would mean Cipher found yet ANOTHER top tier scientist and came back AGAIN.  Blegh.

They could though, in theory.  A Pokerole campaign set in Orre and based around such a scenario might be interesting...

And that's something Nathan is very afraid of.

Ventus doesn't have much to say at this point and has indicated its time for everyone to get going, so the only that is left is Ven trying to find sales at the Department Store, finding those books I mentioned earlier (Crafting Items From Snake Skin and Natural Medicine Recipies), and then I'll be able to type a post of him arriving at the Gym. If he doesn't find any of those things, he'll just proceed immediately to the Gym.

Oh hey, I just noticed that Return would actually be a rather strong move for both my Cottonee and Marill, 8 dice in Damage Roll for them... But since it uses Brawl Speciality, I'm not too inclinged to buy it.

Yeah, having a 3-5 power normal move is really dang good for anything that can learn it, since it's equal in power to a STAB move of 2-4 power.  And that $1000 is surprisingly affordable for such a strong move, too.

Poor Zippy can't learn it without GM discretion, though, since Combee can't learn TMs normally. :/

Kirlia could use it, but he's got better moves to use later, like Close Combat.  And Dream Eater if he lands a Hypnosis.

And that's something Nathan is very afraid of.

Theoretically, since all its takes to make a Shadow Pokémon is to ambiguously 'close its heart' , carefully, systematically , methodically, and precisely abusing a Pokémon could also make one. That way is most likely going to either kill the creature, though, or create disasterous results unlike the more technological methods.

Yeap, Ven's would be DEEPLY unsettled and angry that somebody bringing back those tragic creatures, and would probably dedicate himself to hunting them down and putting a stop to them/murdalating them with extreme predujice. Even Team Plasma Ventus would have balked at the idea of using Shadow Pokémon for ANYTHING other than rehabilitation....
