Uhm... A-Alright, now Shiva was alone in the hall of his steely Gym, alone apart from Lilith whose proximity she kept as close as her noble Psychic Type allowed, that is - and she had no real idea what to do now. Where is the Steel Wonder? How shall Shiva find her here in a Gym she still felt somewhat uneasy in? This felt so different from Zamboni's ice rink...

Unless Lilith displays otherwise or discomfort, she stays out of her Ball and by Shiva's side as she enjoys her presence + she'd appreciate it if she'd observe the battle... Simple observing and being beside her. For dear Spritzee was no room in her party in the end, and without sweet Cottonee on hand Shiva felt.... eeh, she actually didn't know, maybe as if a small part of herself is missing. Yes, that'd match. A faint sob emerged her, and she somewhat nervously watched the grey walls, once she asked Lilith to hand her that Rune Stone she gifted her to turn it in her hand and enjoy its smoothness on her own.

"Oh? Well regardless, I'm always happy to assitence you in caring for him if you ask, so again don't feel reluctant to accept my aid! I've worked with the Charizard line before, among other species of Disobediant and Draconic Pokémon, so my experience in handling them is still a valid resource to draw upon if you so wish."

Ven raises an eyebrow at Nathan's sudden yet not entirely unexpected reaction towards his other offer, and lets out a disappointed sigh and nods their head.

"Later, then. I don't need to remind you the benefits of hunting with your Pokémon, but I ask you seriously consider my offer in the meantime. Galvantula and Charmeleon can be substained by manufactured foodstuffs, yes, but it won't compare to the sastifcation and Happiness they'll receive from enjoying more 'natural' meals. You need only look at Apsis to see the merits of my actions, so please, give it some thought."

Nathan goes back to cleaning up Forthright as best as he can, trying his best to ignore the...somewhat unsavory topic (in most of Creshire's opinion) of conversation Ventus brought up, and hoping nobody else heard it.  "Dang it, Forthright, just...stay...still...for a moment...it won't take as long...to clean ya up...if you do..."

Charmeleon is drooling. Looks like Ventus has produced an idea and it's a little late to take it back now.

Which is definitely enough to wrest Nathan's attention from Forthright.  Welp, so much for ignoring the issue...

"...*sigh*...we'll discuss that later as long as you don't cause any trouble while we're here, Charmeleon, alright?"

Forthright manages to squirm free while Nathan's distracted, too.  It doesn't take long for Nathan and Kirlia to get ahold of her again, but they're probably drawing a little bit of attention now from a few of the people in the crowd...

A panel lights up in the cold steel wall. It's a vidscreen of a secretary.

"Do you need some help, challenger? I can light up colorcoded lights in the floor to direct you to the challenger's arena, or anywhere else in the gym you desire."

Just when Shiva started to seriously think about calling someone of the group via cell to actually ask where to go now, the stars must have heard her silent plea, contacted the heavens, and sent an angel to her that now spoke to her via a vidscreen... Oh sweet relief...~ Was it the plain angel that enjoyed to put a ton of work on her hair? Whenever the group visited this Gym, Shiva has always tried to catch a discreet glimpse onto her just out of curiosity how she wore it today.

Though a part of her felt nabbed, as this must mean there are cameras in this Gym that she has never noticed before. Eeek. She looked directly to that vidscreen, trying to give herself okay. "Well, hi! Shirley, is that you? Ehm... Is Dagny still there, does she still do battles for a badge at this time of the day? I'm someone of these who she promised priority on Gym Battles due to having ended the diaster of the vines a while back... If you could guide me and Gothitelle to the...challenger's area and let Dagny know, that'd be helpful, thank you."

"Hello to you too, Shiva!" Shirley says. "Yes, yes, Dagny's been expecting you - she's very organized. Please follow the blue lighting to the battlefield. She'll be there shortly."



In fact, Dagny is already sitting in her chair when Shiva arrives. The hallway drops you out into the challenger's area. In the corridor is a screen explaining the rules, which you're probably familiar with by now.

"Greetings, Shiva. Are you ready for battle? I have rested after Ventus' successful challenge, so say the word and we shall begin."

'She was expecting her?' Huh... Shiva couldn't really explain to herself why, but this somewhat made her feel noticed and accepted by the Steel Wonder. Felt good - that good that she was able to wave Shirley goodbye in a faint smile. "Thanks! W-Will do!~" With that said, she followed that glowing line in slow graceful steps.

She's indeed familiar with the rules, and there is one thing she's been wondering about since getting to know them. "Eh, yeah, hello too! I've came at last... and I guess I am ready for battle, somehow... We battle 'till fainting, do we? And...well, if you allow me the question, why do you actually not do Double Battles? Given your Steel Types, if there'd be a sandstorm on the field they'd take no damage from it while the foe most likely will - is it even possible to summon a sandstorm here ?"

There's one more small concern that's been lingering for a while now as well, Shiva hesitated to actually bring it up towards Dagny. "Uh..... After the battle, regardless the outcome, would you actually tell me what brought you to the Steel Type, why you've specialized in it and even gave a Move Tutor for Steel Type moves on Route 4 lessons in it? I mostly enjoy Fairy Types among Grass, Psychic by now as well somewhat, and to me Steel Type Pokemon feel like cold calculating machines, so that got me...wondering..."

"Oh, and IF I shall win, would you enlight me on the Type matchups for Nuclear Type? Nucleon as a new evolution for Eevee interests me. A lovely student from Stair's Extension of Telperion University has told me you were the first one who discovered this weird Type, are studying it, and even found a Professor who teaches the course..." (Proof)

"I don't do double battles for a few reasons. One, they require a dedicated strategy, and I'm much too busy to invest in a whole new suite of strategies. Two, they require four Pokemon, and I like to have two complete teams of Gym-worthy Pokemon, and I'm much too busy to invest in two extra Pokemon who would serve only one specific purpose. This in addition to my fleet of Metagross and Magnemite. I should warn you that most Gym Leaders do not accept double battles - they each have specific tests they like to perform. For some few, double battles are a part of that test."

"I'll be willing to talk to you about my experiences with Steel type after our battle. Ready now?"

Dagny must be quite a busy woman, indeed. Though that made sense to Shiva, so she could only nod in comprehension. "I'll keep in mind that every Gym Battle is a specific test, try to adopt that viewpoint when battling them... Oh, and yes, thank you!~ So... You start with sending out your first Pokemon, do you? Eh... Then please do..."

Shiva already had the three Pokemon she specifically has chooses ready and minimized - which one she'll choose first, depends.

"No, as with ALL League battles, we send out our Pokemon at the same time!"

Dagny FLOATS out of her chair, hovering over the battlefield with a whirring noise. She has a Pokeball in hand, ready to go!

(As with all battles, the GM has a selected Pokemon ready to go. You pick one and post which one you've picked, then I will reveal which one Dagny had picked. This is no different than every other battle.)
