[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
As you approach the main civilized entrance to Mt. Sentry, Geodude pops out of the tunnel he's been digging and joins you.

You step into the entrance to the Mudroom, with a bevy of Sentret watching your every move.

Inside the Mudroom, a couple walks hand in hand, looking at all the weird features of this natural cavern: a Zubat hanging from a stalactite, the Crystal Pillar made from fossilized Boldore, and the lucky Worn Stone that Heart was talking about earlier.

If your goal is to create Magneton, you'll want to go West, down a well-worn tunnel leading to the Teeth/Sentry Shrine, where the Landorus carving is, and eventually to the Magnetic Caverns. However, this is not the tunnel which leads beeline for Cress City.

Evolving Magnemite won't take an Encounter slot.

Heart's notes are still up to date about which paths are open.

Heart in this moment was clearly surprise (and perhaps a little scare) by Nathan overeaction and someway happiness. "Uhh sure! If you say so ha...ha...ha..." Heart join with Shiva side with a worry face with him. He talk to her in a way only them could hear. "Is this normal to Nathan be...happy like that? I never see him in that kind of mood."

"Ah, there you are Geodude!  How ya' been?  Where's your Rattata friend gone off to?  Been awhile since I last saw ya hangin' around!  Care to join me and Valder?"

Nathan's heard about the worn stone plenty of times before.  It's not so much the stone itself he finds interesting, but the history behind it.  Not what he's here for, though, so onwards!

Nathan and Valder stop at the Sentry Shrine.  And Nathan takes a caaarrrreful look at it...doesn't take him long to spot that Old Unown text, and then match it with THE FOUR WINDS.  Ah, so THIS is where Heart got that text from...now Nathan is REALLY interested in it...

...which means it's time to examine it a looooot more closely...like, what pokemon specifically are labeled with that FOUR WINDS caption?  What else is pictured besides them and Landorus?  Is there anything else of significant note that someone might have missed if they weren't looking carefully?  Stuff like that.  Nathan wants to get AAAAALLLLL the nitty gritty details on this written down in his handwriting and hard work!

And that's why Nathan wanted Valder's help. Valder watches his back, Nathan does the research and investigation without having to worry too much about getting caught off guard by distractions! Fun fun fun!

Heart join together with the others in Mt. Sentry. He take a map he make himself in his bag. "We should be careful though. This place is very huge and have many caverns. Some ancient and some recent. One place we might have the chance to pass by its the Worn Stone. They say generations of trainers pass by there and wish for luck in many future battles. Since our journey might have battles a pass by would might be cool! Also there is some interesting points there:"

'Crystal Pillar - this pillar is formed from Boldore remains that have been cemented together over time. It spans the Mudroom, floor to ceiling. Striking it with metal causes a beautiful chime to ring out.'

'Worn Stone - Generations of trainer have rubbed this stone for good luck before important battles. It is said the stone used to be rough and mildly painful to rub. Now it is smooth and pleasant.'

'North: Cpt Bridge's Gem Mine, Fallen Arches, The Candelabra, Ruins Paths (Beware of Ghosts)'
'East: Bottomless Pit, Dark Shard, Spherestone'
'South: Botanville Passage, Clay Pits'
'West: Sentry Shrine, Magnetic Caverns, The Teeth'

"*Nods his head at Heart*  Affirmative, my friend. We'll take all the due caution necessary in navigating the depths or Mt. Sentry, since getting lost in the bowls of a mountain is an experience I wish to never repeat again! As for the Worn Stone, I'll give it a rub if our paths intersect it, as in my humble opinion you can never have enough good fortune in your lives!"

"Ventus.  One thing I need to tell you before we go in.  Don't.  Harm.  The Furret.  No matter how mischievous and dangerous they get.  It's outright illegal.  Just keep that in mind, and you'll be fine!"

Weirdly, Nathan says all of that with a biiiig smile on his face.  Wow, he's REALLY chipper right now...

Ventus look somewhat taken aback as Nathan rather vigorously informed him that the Furrets here were a protected species, but they quickly recovered and gave them understanding/accepting nod, returning their smile with one of similar intensity! The boy's sudden mood swing into almost frenetic joy was admitidly drastic change from their usual seriousness, but it was a far from unwelcome one in the empath's opinion! After all, a happy Nathan is a much more tolerable and delightful person to be around, and should be kept in that state if at all possible!

"Understood, Nathan! Neither I nor my Pokémon will harm a single luxerous hair on their body, and avoid instigating any hostilities with them if at all possible!"

As Ventus and the group entered into Mt. Sentry proper, he gave an appreciative *hum* as he glanced around the Mudroom, spotting plenty of the Furrets that Nathan mentioned just moments ago and all the geological attractions that Heart pointed out earlier. The Worn Stone in particular grabbed his focus right away, and so after giving the Furrets a friendly wave he walked over to it in order to give it a good rubbing and acquire some of its purported luck! When he came back he found Heart in the middle of an conversation, and seeing as he was a perfect gentlemen and not TOO nosy/curious he waited patiently for them to finish to rejoin them.

"Well, now that we are all here, how about we head towards the Magnetic Caverns-" he motions towards the western tunnel that leads to them "-and make progress on evolving all our Pokémon, shall we? The sooner this is done, the sooner we can make headway towards Cress City!"

Order: Head towards the Magnetic Caverns with Shiva and Heart, and when their release Remiel to find the right spot to evolve them! Afterwards, Ventus will want to get the whole group together after they've accomplished their diversions and head down the right tunnel that will take them to Cress City. Since their were no Encounters listed, I'm not going to have Ven do anything that would require one until then, so let's see them!

Geodude comes along and rearranges the stones of the Teeth more to his liking.

The first thing Nathan notices is that the Teeth are shaped a bit like the Great Divide, complete with a Tusk spire closest to the Shrine.

The second thing he notices is a Snorunt sitting atop the Tusk, shivering. It's the same one Heart saw.

Now, on to THE FOUR WINDS in Elder Unown. They are arranged about the points of the compass - close the ceiling. To the South, a familiar Altaria! This etching looks like it's in Mega Form; can't tell if it's primal. To the North is Suicune, as legend has always held. To the West, Tornadus! And to the East...huh, what the heck is that? It looks like some kind of four legged beast with spherical hooves. Broad-shouldered and with stubby horns, it has only the vaguest canine connotations. I guess that's kind of true of Suicune, too, and in the same way - not really all that doglike. (In Creshire, there are lots of legends explaining what sort of beasts the three Legendary Beasts are supposed to be, including resemblances to all kinds of different quadruped Pokemon.)

*rolls dice*

NOT labeled by the Elder Unown is a Landorus at the very apex of the ceiling. He's "standing" on a Mamoswine.

The Pokemon along the base of the Shrine seem to represent mountains rather than any particular legendary.

I'm guessing Shiva nor Ventus have too much immediate interest in the Shrine. They can always visit it on their way back. Or flashback to it.

Heart, Shiva, and Ventus all make their way to the Magnetic Caverns. Ramiel comes out and starts seeking a good spot.

In the very center of the room is a Nosepass, holding quite still. However, it waves a stubby arm at Heart when it sees him. It's pointing to the northwest corner of the room.

Magnemite is being very methodical, searching the room from the entranceway onward. Hasn't evolved yet, but it seems optimistic.

(Ven's saw that Valder/Nathan were heading towards there, and just decided to let them handle reviewing/studying the place. He's more concerned/interested in Evolving his Magnemite than anything else right now!)

When Ramiel released themselves from their Pokeball and began sweeping the area, Ventus decided to help expand the area of search by pulling out his scanner and exploring different sections of the caverns for magnetic hotspots than his/Shiva's Magnemite! While His device was not exactly suited for this task, it WAS an sensitive enough instrument to be able to indirectly detect high area of electromagnetisms, or so he hoped as he set out to assist his baby ball bearing!

Heart was a little startled with Ventus aproach but he recomponses himself when they aproach to the Worn Stone. "No problemo Ventus!" Then Heart go in the direction of Worn Stone and rub the stone too. "With this, the luck in our journey will be good. I dont know if this really bring luck, but a little help its not bad." Then Heart guide everyone to the place where he was training Typhon.

Heart was quite interesting about this. "No matter how many times I come here, this place always surprise me with this kind of beauty. Hmm, I may be wrong by this picture kind of remind me about the Legendary dogs from Johto from what I remember. Perhaps this have something about that. You think this might be have something conect to the Legendary dogs Nathan?" Heart ask to Nathan since he have a good mood. This might be the first time he see Nathan happy. This might be a good chance to help things a bit. The same time Heart try his best to find something in his searchs about pokemon in his books.

(Putting one point of Lore to at least be able to understand a bit of picture. I dont know...perhaps a roll of Knowledge+Lore+Insight?)

Heart than show his friends the scrapyard! "Heya Nosepass! How are you man!" Say Heart coming a little close to the nose pokemon and giving him a wave too. "Welcome people! To the Magnetic Caverns! Or like I more like to say, the Scrapyard! Me and Tynamo find this place a few days ago then we get along with all this metal. This place is cool to train the Magnetic field of Tyanmo and help him train his energy production. And it is a perfect place for any pokemon train to get tough and receive some strengh. I train here for quite a while." Say Heart with a proud smile than he join with Ventus and Shiva to find a neat Magnetic Field! "Lets go then find a good spot to help in the evolution of Magnemite them. Typhon are ready?" Then his little Tynamo nod his head. "This might help you too in your training Typhon. With three eletric pokemon, this might help Tynamo to control even more better his energy production and control. Oh boy, cant wait to begin!" Say Heart with excited smile.

Actually, as when Heart was here, there is a sign saying "Leave any electronic devices in the bins provided to avoid damaging them."

Still want to do that? And do you place your other devices in the bins?

(On second thought......)

Just as he was about to set about and explore the area, the sociologist spotted the afformentioned sign and bins, and thinking/realizing that the magnetic forces in this carven were strong enough to ACTUALLY damage his unshielded electronics, he went over their to deposit all his electronical devices (Camera, Scanner, Flashlight, etc..) . The only technological devices he didn't add were his Cellphone (one of the maaaany modification by Team Plasma was installing an EMP Shield on it), and his Pokeballs, which were presumably also shielded. He would automatically come back and get these items once he was finished with the Cavern, of course!

Since using his Scanner as a improtu detector was now a voided possibility, Ven decided to just explore the areas his/Shiva's Magnemite were not, this time focusing his sense of touch in order to (Hopefully) detect magnetic hotspots as the hairs on his body stood up and/or his tweed sweater suddenly started to accumulated excess charge!

(Presumable this will be an Insight/Survival roll of some sort?)
