Bottle Round 3

Will Ventus be switching Pokemon?

The empath thoughtfully frowned at the outcome of this round, as saw Raphael hunker down behind blasé Hanael and warily peaked out at the Golduck that rudely cut its Air Slash performance short and created that awful din that weakened it so. On one hand, Butterfree was taken out, and no longer did he have to fear it sweeping his team off the plateu. On the other, Golduck had proven itself to be even more of a nuisance with the man's preferred strategy, and it showed no signs of that stop being the case. After pondering for a bit, Ventus decided not to switch any of his Pokémon out for the next round. His archangel had a wide variety of moves at its disposal to deal with almost any threat, and Hanael looked study as ever, so it was time to hunker down and continue the fight!

Out comes a disturbingly large Raichu, the size of a small child.

"We offer a hot tub in every room, fine dining by candlelight, and our specially bred Luvdisc surprise! Closets are stocked with fine linen sheets, fluffy comforters, plush mattresses and pillows, and really soft robes! Each room has a minibar with soft and hard drinks. There are mood lighting and music options. There's a jeweler right next door if you need gifts. Oh, no, some people come here just to relax with their Pokemon! Pampering is pampering, you know. The price is $625 per night per room. Reservations are heavily encouraged but not required. First come first serve without a reservation. Deposit is 25%. Oh! We also do weddings!"

That woodcraft B&B sounds awesome and quite relaxing, if Shiva finds the time and muse, she'll certainly spend the night and morning there once! Good thing that they don't require reservation currently, allows her to be spontaneous.

The services of Romantic Hills is what somewhat stunned her though, T...They practically have everything, from fine dining to comfy wear and bedding probably so soft it just invites one to snuggle into to a jeweler next door for the forgetful person! And they do weddings, but for now simply quality time with a selected oddball or sociologist is more than sufficient. Simply the...thought of it put her into a blushy timid but also sweet and anticipating mood that somewhat manifested to her perking up and evntually developing a coy smile to whoever was on the counter. Currently, Ventus asked for alone time which she grants him without objecting even once, but...by tomorrow night he should be better, would he...?

"C...can I actually reserve for tomorrow night then already, please? 25% of 625$ are...uhm.... 156$, I think (and 25cents to exact, doesn't matter), so here you go. Please book it to my name then." She slides her Breeder's Lisence over to enable the person on the counter copy her full name from there. "Do you need the name of the young man I'll come with as well? O-Oh, and yes, I'd also take that specialy bred Luvdisk Suprise, does it cost extra?" Like most young female that believes in love, Shiva does enjoy Luvdisk somewhat, despite her dislike and lack of interest on fislike Pokemon, that's why.

"Anythingelse I need to know? This place seems to be popular... is it very crowded and loud here at and during night?"

Seeing such an immensely sized Raichu being brought in by Bottle caused Ventus eyebrow's to shoot up to his hairline and slightly disbelieving and wary frown appearing on his face. "......How in Reshirim's name do you have so many Overgrown Pokémon in your stewardship, Bottle? Did you specifically breed or raise them to reach such gargantuan size, specifically hunt for species of large size out in the wild or among trainer willing to trade, or blind luck perhaps? Its a bit disconcerting, truth be told.... " he said to them, arms now crossed as it quickly became clear that this gentleman had him at a disadvantage when it came to pure HP. Still, he didn't let that troublesome realization burden his thoughts overly, and soon he briskly issued his next series of order to his beloved sister and child!

"Hanael, use Tackle repeatidly on Golduck to prevent them from Disabling a more important move, and switch over to Magnitude once they are down or Tackle gets Disabled! Raphael, Encore on Golduck to limit what they are capable of, before sending a flurry of Magical Leaves on them to quickly remove them from the battle, and continuing gripping on and taking cover behind your sister! Go forth and conquer, my archangel and fiery basteon!

Order: Hanael will stick to using Tackle on Golduck 4 times until its either Fainted or it uses Disable on Tackle, then she will start with the Magnitudes once more. Raphael will use Encore to force the blue mallard to waste most its turn not dealing much damage/flitching with Zen Headbutt, and then focus fire it with Magical Leaf three times this round in order to quickly remove it and stop it from Disabling/Screeching my dang Pokémon! If Golduck opts to Disable Magical Leaf and undisable Air Slash in the process (Since the wording of the move implies only one move can be Disabled at a time using it), it will switch to using Air Slash onto them. If you decide Golduck can Disable multiple moves, then Raphael will switch to using Extreme Speed on them, and the Strike if necessary. Raphael will continue seeking cover by hiding and gripping onto Hanael, which could prevent Raichu from properly using its Electric STABs, due to Ven effectively ordering his archangel to ground itself by keeping firm contact with its Ground type sister. Potion will go to Hanael this round if either of Ven's Pokémon Falls below half HP, as she will be tanking the most damage. This fight is tough, but Ven's clever/resourceful enough to see this through to the end....hopefully!

Moves:

Encore
Accuracy: 8D6 Base Dice - 4 Actions = 4D6 Dice
Effect: Known

Magical Leaf
Accuracy: 9D6 Base Dice - 5/6/7 Actions = 4/3/2D6 Dice
Damage: STR (3) + 2 + SE - Vitality (2 or 3, since Butterfree used QD to get to 3 Vit/Defense after Lilith lowered their Defense by 1) = 3 or 2D6 + 1 Damage
Effect: Its not going to miss unless they make an effort to dodge, which if Golduck gets Encored ain't going to happen.

Tackle
Accuracy: 10D6 Base Dice - 4/5/6/7 Actions = 6/5/4/3D6 Dice
Damage: STR (3) + 2 - Vitality (2 or 3) = 3 or 2D6 Damage
Effect: None

Magnitude (Only if Tackle is Disable and/or Gold Duck is KOed)
Everything is the same as Tackle in terms of Accuracy, and Damage is Random

Air Slash (Only if Magical Leaf gets Disable and therefore frees Air Slash)
Everything is the same as Magical Leaf in terms of Accuracy, and only does two more Damage Dice without SE damage due to the move having + 1 more power and Raphael having STAB on the move. Also, 5 Dice to Flitch! Can't forget that!

Extreme Speed (If you decide multiple Disables are permitted)
Same as Magical Leaf in Accuracy, + 2 Priority, + 1 Damage Dice and no SE damage over Magical Leaf.

Hehe... Registered. Oh my, let's hope Ven won't be too stunned by her somewhat bold act of taking the initiative on this!~ "Hmm... Yes, I think it doesn't hurt if he gets his own room keys as well, just in case. Reserve it to this name then please." She slides over a paper with Ven's full name on it, mostly to prevent errors and having to spell it (Is his last name written with 'h' like in the introduction of chara in MetaThread, or with 'k' like it is by now?).

The thought of ADOPTING that particular Luvdisk then allured a suprised and dreamy expression, and she has enough cash to just do that. Maybe. "I'll think about that Luvdisk then, will tell you then. Hummm~"

"S...soundproof is good, I-I just wanted to know!" >///< "Won't use the room for anything...in that direction, w-we're not yet together officially even." As soon as Shiva has accepted the key(s), packed them away and gave another thank-you and a wave of goodbye together with her Pokemon that were currently out, she'd eventually leave the B&B area (maybe I'll ask for more themes in the future), with her next point of interest before she'd go for the Cress Museum to meet up with Professor Mallorn being....

.....The Violet Tent, which she spotted being avertised in the Pokemon Center! Naturally that she'll greatly look forward to a real fleemarket of the occult, and that she won't leave without buying anything. Her witchy nature and interest in magic and mythic will make her explore practically every aspect of this place, and she'll happily come back once or twice for business. C: How amusing that Ven, who she just booked a night in a romance-themed B&B Hotel with, would likely never set one foot into that tent no matter what.

Out of her painted Premier Ball, Lilith also comes summoned to Shiva's side, she'll accompany her to this fleemarket. Furret and Cottonee as well, so they stay outside their Balls. With a calling gesture and readjusting her glasses, she caught the attention of her Gothitelle, telling it in an exciting tone of voice "So... Lilith, we'll make our way to a place you may also like, one filled with occult, mystic and everthing related to it. There's even a Medium that I'd like us to meet, but likely not today. Stick close to me please and let me know if anything catches your interest, alright? ...Now then, come!~ You two of course as well, dear Cottonee and Furret, but please stay by my side so we won't end up loosing one another!"

------------------
Mechanics:
Room booked, now to continue exploring what Cress City offers us!~ While I'm still pondering about what exactly to buy there (Definitely some Tea and Mystery Berries), I'll let you introduce the place to Shiva and have her Pokemon react to things. There's also no price listed for Enigma Berry Candy, are these free?

I think we'll make this a Creshire League ruling at the least, since it's a Creshire League rule that you only get 4 unique moves in a single fight.

Bottle Round 3

The massive Raichu is not where you last saw it. No, its behind Raphael!

Fake Out 1 on Raphael
9 dice -3 actions = 6d6
(4)(5)(1)(2)(3)(2)
(4) Raphael takes 1 dmg and flinches.

He won't fall for that again! He narrows his keen eyes at Raichu.

Bottle takes this chance to use a Potion on Golduck. 8/11hp -1 pain.

Tackle 1
(3)(5)(1)(4)(3)(5)
(4)(6) Golduck takes 2 dmg 6/11hp. A tackle from such a dense Pokemon hurts!

"Screech on that Numel."

Screech 1
(3)(2)(4)(4)(1)
With Simple, Numel's Amnesia is now canceled out!

Tackle 2
(5)(1)(2)(5)(1)
(2)(4) Golduck takes 1 dmg 5/11hp -2 pain. Haneal has a little more difficulty with this second tackle, since it's already so close to Golduck.

Magical Leaf 2
(3)(2)(6)(1)
(6)(4) Golduck takes 3 dmg; he has 3 vit and Butterfree should have had one more from QD. *shrug*. 2/11hp.

A Thunderbolt comes down from a clear sky to strike Raphael behind Haneal!

Thunderbolt 2
(5)(1)(1)(5)(3)
4 Str + 3 power +1 STAB -3* vit =5d6+1
(5)(3)(4)(4)(2) Raphael takes 4 dmg, but Ventus uses a Potion.
Paralyze: (1)

The electricity courses right through Raphael, which is painful. It does ground itself in Haneal, but not without hurting the initial victim first!

Zen Headbutt 2 on Haneal
(3)(3)(1) Golduck goes sailing past, coming within a feather of hitting Raphael instead. The duck is favoring its ribs from all those Tackles.

Here comes another one.

Tackle 3
(4)(6)(1)(3)
(5)(1) Golduck takes 1 dmg 1/11hp

Magical Leaf 3
(4)(6)(3) Golduck faints.

Thunderbolt 3
(4)(3)(1)(1) This time, the bolt happens to ground itself into Haneal. Raphael is laughing at his opponent's bad luck, which allows him to pass unscathed.

Magnitude 4
(5)(4)(3)
(1)
3 Str +1 power +1 stab -4 vit =1d6+1
(3) Raichu takes 1 dmg 10/11hp. The lightning bolt discomfited Haneal's simple mind even if it couldn't deal damage.

Magical Leaf 4
(6)(4)
(2) No damage to Raichu.

It's time to swap out any Pokemon again! Bottle says "I only have one more of my trademark oversized Pokemon, collected from all over Creshire! Oh, I get them from all kinds of different sources."

The Violet Tent is a wonderground of telescopes, silver thread, mysterious Eggs, and sparkling lights that move all by themselves; but it also contains darker elements like decaying claws, shrunken heads, vials of blood, and books of curses. Every part of the tent smells wildly different from the booth just five meters away. Lilith stops to look at all kinds of things, definitely including that wildly expensive telescope, but also some of the scarier things.

(4)(3) vs (6)(3)(1) You see her considering shoplifting a jet black bow with an obsidian clasp, but she realizes she'd probably get caught.

Lilith also points out a Spoink Egg. Cottonee would prefer a sister - a booth of fragrances is also selling Cottonee Eggs and a guide to raising Spritzee to produce different scents.

Furret also wants to shoplift like her cool friend Lilith, but it can't - whenever it reaches for a bauble or piece of fruit, the merchant inevitably smiles and passes the item down! Furret collects $75 worth of toys and cheap jewelry, and as much weird food as it can eat. However, one merchant snatches a sprig of something back. "What do you think you're doing, Furret? Eating that wolfsbane could kill you!"

Shiva spots a tent labeled "Things Found - Mr. Finder." Behind the wall is a man in a ragged cape. He has an ENORMOUS long nose, with coarse hair sprouting from it.

"Miss! Excuse me, Miss! I can tell, I can tell - you've seen the Fortune Hunter lately. Her smell is all over you."

I don't know if Heart is still there or not, but the description is about the same. Candles are still unlit - oh, this is what has attracted the Combee! Both of them go flitting around the white candles, sampling the wax. Each of them finds a favorite and takes a mouthful back with them.

Morning is the most popular time for worship of any kind. Most of Nathan's family and friends from Trillium would probably hold stock in the simple spirituality that holds various Pokemon as various avatar's of nature's strength, or its caretakers. Arceus and company are the most powerful avatars, the more literal avatars, but very few people in the country have anything like a religious symbol for them, nor do they pray to 'em or swear by 'em.

As the cultural capital, Cress City is bound to support every style of worship practiced in the region.
