(5) "Today's warrior is Nathan Warren! Nathan, please step forward and introduce us to your honored Pokemon." Behind him, the tea equipment is quickly repacked onto the cart and sent to one side, baring the parquet floor. Two Kimono Girls stand ready with the basket of flowers. They will pick a colored flower after Nathan introduces his Pokemon.

Nathan can barely hold in his excitement. He tries his best to, though, out of respect for the ceremony.
...and then he looks at Forthright.
"Come on, you wanna give it a go? I promise they won't seriously harm you, and you won't be harming them either, alright? Besides, a little practice, and you'll be able to change the weather to your liking in no time."

Forthright starts to get excited! Mostly because Nathan is. But he does understand what a battle is by now, since Nathan has been coaching him, and he's ready to try it with these pretty ladies.

Accuracy: 4 Dex + 3 Fight + 3 Brawl = 10 D6 base
Damage: 2 Power + 3 Strength + STAB = 6 D6 base
Performance!
Let's keep this simple. Since we're only doing one action per round let's remove...3 dice from the accuracy pool for this. Every round. Forthright's not exactly an expert performer, but she's probably picked up something from the dance just performed and watching Kirlia/Ralts.
So that makes the performance roll: 2 Perform + 3 = 5 D6
And Tackle's Accuracy becomes: 7 D6 Base before Pain
Simple orders for a simple 1v1 battle! Go!
