[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
The other thing to remember is that Trevenant can learn Horn Leech upon evolution, @Spiritmon, which renders Seed Bomb mostly obsolete.  (Seed Bomb's not a contact move, though, so it has that going for it).

Just have to raise that Loyalty to 3+ (which shouldn't be too difficult in theory if you started at 2...) so Trevenant will obey ya.  Horn Leech can be obtained faaarrr faster than Seed Bomb if that requirement is fulfilled.

I personally think tutoring Worry Seed would be more worth the time. But that's just my opinion.

Well, I kinda doubt Ventus watches anime for some reason...and Unovan schools probably don't teach it...

Lol.  Nathan is sooooo confused right now.  I'm sure Ventus has a good reason for being fluent in Japanese, though.

Shiva has visited a normal highschool instead of any Trainer-related education, so it's likely that she learned it there?

Besides, yes, I'm typing on a post in GameThread currently.

You can pick a cultural language if you consider your character brainy enough to know one. Unova is based on America/New York, so they might speak English in addition to Common, and they also probably have a lot of immigrants who would know additional languages.

He has his reasons for knowing Japanese, which he'll explain to Nathan soonish since their confusion is both apparent and somewhat amusing to my character. Not often you take the kid by surprise in a nice way, you know!

Before that, though, posting in thread!

English feels naturally and is a soft-must for Shiva, as her father's Daycare gets requests from all kind of people knowing all kinds of languages, and the easiest way to communicate with them if they happen to not speak Common is English! Plus a short course in Japanese she had in school, but she doesn't speak it like Ven does. Does that make sense?

You can also learn more languages. They are like Specialties. Your first one is free, your second one costs 1 Specialty point (6Xp), then you have to elevate it to 2 specialty for a third language (6XP again), then 3 specialty for a fourth language (12XP). Not saying that will help in the campaign, but if you're looking to build a Polyglot (like Phantom!) then feel free.

Can always look things up on a PC for single phrases.

When I max my Insight, I'll pick up English as Ven's Second Non-Common Language (If we don't count Binary), as it makes sense for him to know THAT means of communication. He's just ironically worse at it despite being fluent in Japanese!

I'm fine with having American English as my chara's second language then because it's common for Professional Breeders in Unova to speak that, and assuming that she does understand some degree of Japanese. Maybe when I'm feeling bold though I'll spend 6xp on having her speak it as well. C: But not before Shiva's Insight is leveled-up to 5, that's my current goal. Runereading does not count I assume, as she has that book from the Fortune Hunter to use?

Ancient languages like that you just don't/can't know. Could become available later in the campaign if they continue to interest people.
