Also, about to head to class, so It'll be awhile before I'm able to post again. I also made sure to change orders up since last time so that Apsis and Michael just end up Grappling them to ensure Blockage instead, as they'll be too weak/unconscious to do anything about escaping if things go to plan....
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.

There is a lot of risk involved in sending your Pokemon down where the trainer cannot see it. Be aware.

Well, as said before...Sleep OP. And as said just last night, be VERY afraid of the Skull Ruins. Those 6 Strength Haunter (which is the maximum Special they can possibly have under 'normal circumstances' in the book) are but only a taste of what's to come, I'm sure...
I'd also like to point out one more thing for future reference: Ghost and Poison both resist Poison, so the Ghastly line takes -2 damage from Poison moves. Pretty easy to forget that Ghost resists Poison, tbh :/

I figured the Acid Spray was more for debuffing than for attacking, since Bite is obviously a better move offensively.

Definitely. Every possible point of damage can still help, though.
Acid Spray is waaaayyyy too ridiculously good, regardless of whether it lowers Strength or Defense by 2. Just the fact that it lowers an important stat by 2 guaranteed and with no drawbacks other than certain specific types, abilities, and items making pokemon immune to the move or effect is enough by itself to warrant using the move in almost every battle. The only other 'drawback' is that it has a low distribution, being only available to some select Poison types and a handful of Non-Poison types

I'm already looking forward to when my Prankster-Meowstic has learned to allure the foe with his Charm.

Sorry to bother,
Am I in the Skull Ruins where the Haunters are, or somewhere else? Preferably I'm in the ruins with boss Ventus.

That's gonna be a fun time for sure. The shenanigans a Male Meowstic can cause before the foe can even act in Pokerole are definitely quite numerous...
Though at least Charm doesn't also do damage. That's the biggest selling point of Acid Spray for sure. But tons of pokemon get Charm by comparison (Ralts and Kirlia can learn it, actually, but it costs 43/50 exp :/ Probably not going to be learning that one)
And then there's Captivate, which is Charm for Special (and it hits all foes), but it only works on opposite gendered foes (Gardevoir can learn it, but again, it's expensive without the Gen 4 TM, and the restriction makes it hard to use despite it having the largest distribution of all the guaranteed -2 debuffing moves). And then there's Fake Tears, Eerie Impulse, and Feather Dance, but those all have super low distributions as well...Charm's easily the most accessible and usable of the bunch by far.

Well, Windos didn't specifically say if Ventus actually tried to get Valder's help yet, so I'm not sure if Valder would necessarily know Ventus is there. I think Windos has been operating on the assumption that Valder isn't with Ventus for the time being.
Besides, Ventus also kinda...uh...murdered a bunch of innocent Patrat. Not sure if Valder would be comfortable with that or not.

Then you are there.
(Ventus PM'd me the instruction to recruit Valder for this scheme).
