[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
Heart process about this piece of information. Its indeed a terrible drawing but at least they are getting somewere. Perhaps Hypno want to go to that clock place during night from what Heart could understand. After a few minutes Heart spoke again. "Huh, we finally going to somewere. Acordding from the letters you make about "Friday" and this drawing of the moon, you are telling me you want to come to the Hotooth clock here during night. I dont know if is "Friday" of today or another, since I dont speak pokemon language. But thats is what you trying to me Hypno? Just a confirmation nod of "yes" or "no" is enough Hypno. If you could drawn anything more to help seek what kind of item or thing you trying to find would help.

Hypno points to the Cathedral and holds up the moon drawing - you were close. He wants to go to the Cathedral at night!

Heart at least was close enough. At least that. "Well I supose there is no problem. I think we can go there tonight. I have a little bad feeling you want to rob something from there, but welp who am I to judge. Its not like they have something so much valuable there. But since I you trainer I think its my duty to help a new member of my party in what is necessary. I promise you tonight we going to return here."

Then Heart stop for a second then think again. "Hmm, I didnt give you a name yet right? I think its a tradition when a trainer caugh a pokemon to his team he give a name to make him unique. You have some thief tendecies, and I think prefer to act during night. And you have some mind tricks in your sleev." Heart remember a old criminal called Sundance. This is kind a good name to give to Hypno but with a few changes. "Once a time ago there was a old criminal called Sundance Kid who was a famous criminal who never use violence in his crimes, only mind tricks such as intimidation and negotiation like you did back there when we meet, except you indeed use literal psychic tricks. But Sundance its not a fit name to you so I will make some changes. How about...Moondance Alphonse. Alphonse its another name of the most famous criminal of all times, Alphonse Gabriel Alcapone. Thats a good full name. What you think Hypno?"

We very rarely get him to let us put up any of his art, and we don't want to hurt his feelings. He's the nicest fellow. Did you know he lives in Cress City? If you want some art, sometimes they have a little at the Trading Card shack."

Furret would probably be interested in playing with clay, since she's interested in the Clay Pits. Ralts will do any activity.

There are pictures of the Tandorian fossils, but no Pokedex-entry-level details. He can guess their typing by the pictures.

"Nothing from Morgusi right now at all?  Dang it...well, guess I'll have to pay the trading card shack a visit tomorrow, then...thank you for taking the time to answer my question."  (@Lord Windos, want to learn a little more about Morgusi?  Now's your chance! Nathan's definitely up for talking about this topic if asked)

Awesome.  Let's see if Nathan, Furret, and Ralts can make something kinda similar to the Mutios necklace...but mirrored and with reversed colors (i.e. Aotius).  Needs to be a proper pair after all, right?  It'll be joining Mutios on Nathan's necklace if it turns out good enough (as in, if it's not obviously terrible, since Mutios is kinda crude as it is).

-------------------------------------

Hmmmm....kinda surprising that there's no additional info on these species in the exhibit, really...Ice/Rock, Electric/Rock, and Fighting/Rock...that's what types they appear to be based on the physiques, patterns, and coloring...but is that one...colored like gold? And the fossil is literally called a Gold Fossil, too...hmmm...does the pokedex have any info on these fossils?

During the trio's tour of the Art section of the museum, Ventus quietly took in the various works with an analytical, speculative gleam in his eyes as he tried to understand the motivations/creative design behind them. Besides his expertise of Pokémon and their various aspects depicted in all media and deciphering the cultural meaning behind artworks, the researcher didn't consider himself much of an art enthusiast , as he was usually too busy conducting his own important affairs to take the time to gain a deeper appreciation. That isn't to say he was completely disdainful of the field, as evident by the his newly obtained yet still greatly cherished Reshirim plushie in his satchel ('Oh, how I adore her so...') and love/fascination of fashion/make up, its just that is not a primary interest to him in the vast majority of times/cases. Oh well!

It was while he was examining the Gyrarados Painting with an pleased *Hmm* , mentally noting how the artist managed to capture the likeness and ferocity of the Atrocious Speces with masterful and stunning detail compared to the real thing (which, since Ven had the 'pleasure' of fighting one, made such a depiction all the more wonderous), that he overheard Nathan questioning a Docent about Keni Morgusi. The name tickled the neurons of his mind briefly before causing them to fire off and recall that was the very artist that Card Loving Trainer back in Ginger Town requested a Training Card by him! His interests now fully piqued, Ventus waited until the young scholar was finished questioning the docent before walking up to them and, with a curious tilt of his head, asked him about the shy artist.

"Nathan, I couldn't help but overhear you speaking of Keni Morgusi, and was wondering if you could indulge my curiosity about them. I've first heard of them from a trainer I challenged some time ago in Ginger, but since then I've hardly more than nil about them, so I'd like the opportunity to learn more about this elusive artist if it isn't too much a bother for you."

"GAH!"

Nathan wasn't really paying too much attention to who else was nearby in the room.

"...what the...Ventus, where the heck did you...*sigh*...nevermind..."

Nathan (and Ralts) similarly tilts his head curiously at Ventus's question, faintly surprised.

"You've seriously never heard of Keni Morgusi?  He's only, like, one of the most respected and talented artists ever.  To the point that there's stories about him making impossible journeys to paint Legendary Pokemon, who would even sit perfectly still for him while he painted."

...

"...of course, saying it out loud like that...I can kinda see why he might be a bit of a recluse...but my dad told me all sorts of incredible stories about him, even as they got more and more outlandish in concept...the guy is basically a living legend.  His art is just THAT good.  I was hoping to finally see some of it for myself here, but...guess looking for one of those super expensive trading cards is going to have to do..."

Gothitelle and her white Vulpix are still out, the near surrounding is probably a bit colder due to training her fox's Ability, but Spritzee might - depending what the book tells needs to be done for 'learning' a new scent - either be visible as well or semi-hidden linger on her shoulder, only the fae's sweet and romantic scent will hint on her.

"Oh... Well, Nathan, hi! ..... S-sure I'll tag along on seeing the inside of the Museum! Let's see...." She draws a leaflet telling about the different wings of the Museum, as they'll probably are displayed here in the Cafe, "Art interests me -" Reminds her on visits of Burgh's exhibitions with her mother, curious to compare his style of painting with whoever's are exhibited in Cress City's Museum!~ - " as well as...let's see, the wings about Telperion University and Chreshire's plantlife and its science. So, please excuse me if we have to part ways at some point, alright?"

(Quick Flashback because I forgot to react to this/wasn't paying enough attention originally.  Whoops.)

Nathan has to stop and blink in confusion (he's confused for more than one reason, btw) and wonder a few times after he takes a closer look at the pokemon Shiva's holding.

Is that...Vulpix...white?

...

...she must have traded Druddigon.  That's the only way she could have possibly obtained such a ludicrously rare pokemon in Creshire...and that...cold aura in the air...does it...have Snow Warning?

...

...someone must have REALLY wanted that Druddigon.

Nathan shrugs at Shiva's response to his invitation to join in on perusing the museum exhibits.  It doesn't really matter too much to him if she sticks close or not.  What's more interesting to him right this very moment is that Alolan pokemon...he seems a bit hesitant to say what's on his mind at first...but then he just goes ahead and voices it anyways despite how...uncertain he is about if he should be asking.

"...if you don't mind, Shiva...could I also ask one more thing?  Would it be possible for me to...see what that Vulpix is capable of in battle sometime?  It's not often we see...Alolan pokemon in Creshire...and I think Forthright might enjoy a battle in Hail if that Vulpix can summon it...maybe after Forthright learns how to change the weather herself?  Some practice with changing between her different forms mid-battle would probably be good for her..." (Could be possible to set up a battle where all 4 base weathers are set up at some point, in fact!  Just need that Sandstorm TM, then we have moves/abilities for all 4 weathers at the group's current disposal [well, mostly Shiva's disposal for now, but...]!  Yes, this is a spur of the moment idea.)

I have one training roll for Gothitelle. A Perform check, I think. (6)(3)(4)(6)(2)(1)(6)(1) = 4 bonus XP +2, just for that session alone. Then all your Pokemon get +1 for each session, and Spritzee also gets a bonus XP.

Vulpix looks really pleased at being asked to summon hail.

(Whoops. I've been imagining the Cafe having seats indoors and outdoors like Starbucks has, and Shiva simply opted to find a seat outdoors. Nevermind, in that case she ordered one big latte, enjoyed half of it while reading in the book about raising Spritzee and introducing herself to white Vulpix all while Lilith is pleasant company, then eventually took them all outside for Training, protecting herself, Spritzee and Gothitelle from the hail by Vulpix via a black pocket umbrella depicting a Lunatone.)

Consider her also impressed by herself that the model of whichever constellation Lilith has chosen turned out so well, it delights her lots that her gothloli Psychic Type is enjoying it just as much.

Guess Spritzee can now 'summon' the smell of coffee latte? Sweet. To work more with her during Chapter II, I fear I'll have to place Azumarill onto Bill's PC for a little, sooner or later.

Shiva slightly flinches away and looks startled as Vetus reaches over to gently muss her hair, but mostly because she just finished brushing it. He stroked her hair earlier already, it's nothing new, so a few moments later she soft-leaned into the caress, bringing all her attention to him to calmly listen to what he had to say.
She appreciates that he ensures to do his part on finding the Library/paying for the hirering of Mr. Finder. Until that fateful day will come, she will follow her own businesses, prepare for it, enjoy the time as best as she can...

His mentioning of prefering to keep their newly-forged romantic bond secret in the first place caused her to perk up and look at Ventus in what seemed to be...wonder, even a bit of mystification. For various reasons, 1. she thought he didn't enjoy keeping secrets?; 2. did he really said there that he loves her, much even? Aww. How incredibly sweet by him, if she wouldn't be somewhat insecure and coy she'd now fondly hug him - but because she was, he had to be fine with a just as fond glance up to him and a hestitant nod to eventually agree to things. "F...Fine, if you're uncomfortable about them finding out, then I'm fine with doing my best to keep it secret. I, well, don't know how long that'll work and what to exactly...do, but maybe it's better this way. But...I like you...I don't care too much whether the others of our group disagree to us or not." These words were muttered into his sweater as she leaned into him.

His next few words and that QUIET tone caused her to look up to him again, looking a tad bit anxious over the request to...talk. A-About what does he want to talk, what's wrong? "Sure we can talk, if you feel the need to do so, Ven... Tonight is fine as well. Probably not in the Lobby of Center? I mean, for privacy I can come to your dorm, or you to mine."

(Feel free to start this whenever you like, Windos, I have one Encounter left but it'll likely be Training anyway, or whatever I think out.)

Oh. Without Shiva deliberately pulling the strings in the comfortable background, Nathan was the first one to run into her special new member of her dear own Pokemon. This Vulpix hadn't her OT and ID, but doesn't matter as Druddigon hasn't Melia's either.

She wasn't mentally prepared to be honest, but she quick-did so as he was still starring at her white fox as if he saw a Ghost from the Skull Ruins waving in a friendly manner. Eventually, Shiva kneed down again by the side of Vulpix, then softly stroked over the fox's cheek in a subtly protective and 'That's mine!'-manner, all while awaitingly mustering Nathan, letting him speak up first. She only responded in a relieved and calm tone of voice once he brought up the sentiment of..battling the fox.

The words came hestitantly, as Shiva had to think about what to properly respond in the first place. Meanwhile, she tried to conentrate her senses on him, seeing what she possibly picks up. There was a lot of wonder and confusion, it coyly amused her. "Your intuition seems right, Nathan, this non-endemic Vulpix has been traded to me by an Ace Trainer for the dragon I defeated and caught in Mount Sentry. Battling, humm..." She impercibly sighed at that, as she struggles to understand why Trainers want to battle everything anytime, to her they were a (mostly) fun diversion to help Pokemon to grow! But she's interested in helping Vulpix to grow and become even fluffier and cuter. "Uhm, fine, sure you can...battle her sometime, I guess. I don't know when exactly as I'd like to test her at first in the wild before sending her in against Trainers, but please remind me on it once to twice, alright? How about you, Vulpix? Are you interested in showing your skills against other Pokemon, has your former Master held many battle with you?"

Before Ventus could react/respond to their surprised rejoinder, a flash of Insight startled him as their reaction made him realize something crucially was....missing from this conversation causing his face to briefly scrunch up in confused perplextion....

....until he remembered what is was. Or rather, who. His expression suddenly become much more Alert, his eyes now darting around their (his and Nathan immediate surroundings) until they rested on the boy with caution and concern.

"Umm.....Nathan, don't be alarmed, but-" the researcher said in a calm, placating tone....

.....before he was interrupted by the sight of Miss Malphena suddenly materialized right behind the young scholar and Ralts. She had been released during her master's first training session to 'witness the way he issues orders and instructions to other Pokemon' and familiarize herself with his mercenary's partners, and also because he simply wanted to spend some more time with his second newest addition to his family. This naturally lead to him taking her to the museum with him to experience the multi faceted past/present of the region as he carefully explained the meaning behind them, as he thought the more archaic/ancient display would interest a spirit like her (Reaction to the various exhibits for her, Iron?). Quality time well spent forges bonds like nothing else, you know!

Unfortunately, he had been so engrossed with his earlier analysis of the works of art on display that she had grown a little bored and a little put out by the lack of attention- not that she was a prim dona, but losing it so unexpectedly was an disconcerting surprise. So when her master had wander over to the boy and that curious Ralts of his, she with a mischievous smile decided to capitalize on the gold opportunity to 'make a little fun' for herself and him....

....which lead to her hovering right behind the young little boys after carefully sneaking through the shadows, until everyone was distracted enough she could come out without being detected. The banshee slowly leaned forward to nudge Nathan, and when he turned around (presumably).....she decided to give him a darling look/smile and near silent *Eee!* that conveyed the meaning: 'Hello!'

What, though she was gong to give him a bad scare? Nah! She learned her THAT didn't always turn out so hotly when that fae woman summon the star gazer on her, so she decided to stick to more playful, friendly and ultimately harmless surprises instead! Still funny, but no where near as dangerous in her opinion, te he~! That, and she had yet to she their reaction to be truly spooked, so she was curious to she what that entailed, especially from the brave little Ralts....

"-.....Melphena is out, about, and not with me right now," Ventus finished lamely, an apologetic (if ever so slightly mirthful) smile now on his at what occurred. He thought his sister wouldn't try such stunts after last night, but alas he was wrong. Looks like he'll have to give her a sterner lecture about that....

".....Anyway," the empath continued, doing his best to move things on before anything more 'interesting' happened, "No, I'm afraid I haven't heard of this Keni Morsugi. I was never really concerned or particularly enthralled with the Artist scene back in Unova, so I mostly ignored it and everyone in it in favor of continuing my academic and research pursuits. Hearing more about their Legendary accomplishments and talent, I feel that I've greatly missed out on something spectacular all this time..... *Shrugs* Oh well, such is life, full of missed opportunities and untapped potential...."

The sociologist then clasped his hand together and offered them another smile, while beckoning his 'frightening' sister to float back over to his side with a firm look to stay out of trouble/mischief. Well, if Ralts hadn't Hypnotized her by now, in which case she's returned without compliant on his part. You reap what you sow, and what better way than to learn this by becoming an example herself...?

"Regardless, now that you mentioned how superb their artwork is, I'm eager to see it for myself as well, so how about we search for it together later on? You mentioned he did illustrations for training cards and a shop that sells them nearby, so perhaps we'll get lucky and find some example?"
