Crunch 3
(3) Misses due to pain!

She is still faster than the wounded croc!

Fire Fang 3, holds back? Obedience: (2) vs (1)(5) Nah, no holding back.
(5)(6)
(6)(4)(6)(3)(6) Krokorok faints.
Charmeleon roars in triumph! Earlier he could not win against Steel type, now he is defeating a type he's vulnerable to!

"Ok, that does it! I'm not holding back either!"

Ice Fang 3 on Furret
(5)(4)
(6) Furret takes 1 dmg 6/9hp
Freeze: (2)(2)
Flinch: (4)(4)

(Yup, no damage from Sand Tomb if Krokorok is no longer maintaining it)

Nathan levels a stare at the fire lizard.

"Good job, Charmeleon, but it's important to know when to withhold your fire as well.  That Krokorok wasn't going to KO you, and now you've irritated our nice opponent by not returning the favor and sticking to the terms we agreed to."

Nathan sighs and looks at Edgewalker.  "I'm very sorry about that, sir.  If you wish to make this a battle that allows fainting, I won't begrudge you for it."

Nathan nods to Rhea.  "Thank you for keeping Charmeleon covered while he keeps up the pressure."  Nathan looks at Charmeleon.  If it weren't for Rhea, Charmeleon might not be in this battle still, so he could show her at least a little thanks too.

Oh, and there's no switching on Nathan's end for the next round.  Who's next?

(Well, this is turning into an interesting chance for Charmeleon to potentially go through a little character development...)

Edgewalker sends out Yamask. (4) + 7 = 11, basically replacing Krokorok.

Alrighty. At some point during the day it's pretty likely you'd get picked.

Typhon will be facing Flareon!

Start of Round 2 Status
Guess we're fainting each others' pokemon now thanks to Charmeleon.
Init: Yamask, Rhea, Charmeleon, Glalie
Charmeleon: 3/7, -2 Pain +2 Blaze
Furret: 6/9, +2 Defense, -1 Pain
Yamask and Glalie: Fresh

Huh, a Yamask.  That's a reeaaalllly rare pokemon around here.  Cool.  Also creating an interesting situation due to its Mummy ability and some of the moves it might know...this ghost could screw with his current strategy in a few different ways...

"Charmeleon, unless you want your fire to die down, don't touch the ghost. Trust me, it's not going to be a pleasant experience if you do.  Rhea, continue to support him, please.  Charmeleon, since you started this, now you need to end it.  Flamethrower would be my personal recommendation.  No lethally burning and/or wounding them though, period.  Do that, and you're getting removed from this battle.  Keep up the good work, but respect the rules we have in place while you do so, please.  Understood?"  Keeping the orders polite, but now there's a more serious undertone to them as well.  I doubt Charmeleon wants to be forcefully removed from his first proper battle in who knows how long, and one he's doing quite well in, too!

Nathan has a Burn Heal behind his back in the event Charmeleon disobeys and happens to inflict a Burn 2.  He's not going to let his opponents take damage from a lethal burn if he can help it.  If Charmeleon inflicts a lethal burn or lethal damage, he's also getting recalled and removed from the battle immediately.  Nathan's pokemon, his responsibility.  He's trusting Charmeleon to not overdo it again, but he's prepared if the lizard does.

Rhea is continuing to do what she does best: misdirection and chip damage!  But now she's having to think a little more carefully about what to do since that ghost joined the fray...well, better start by saying...

Follow Me! 1
Accuracy: 9 base - 3 actions - 1 Pain = 5 D6
Effect: +5 Priority, Redirection of single target moves!

...and depending on what happens, follow up with...

Quick Attack 2/3 on Glalie
Accuracy: 10 - 4/5 - 1 = 5/4 D6
Damage: 3 D6
Effect: +1 Priority

...and/or...

Amnesia 2/3 (if Amnesia was nullified by Haze and Glalie is out of the battle)
Accuracy: 7 - 4/5 - 1 pain = 2/1 D6
Effect: +2 Defense

Baton Pass 2/3 (if Glalie is out of the battle and Amnesia is in effect)
Accuracy: Same as Quick Attack's
Effect: Switcher move.  Passes positive trait increases, but Rhea can't increase those passed traits again for the rest of the scene
Switching to: Ditto

Knockdown 2/3 on Yamask (If Amnesia was nullified by Haze, Glalie is out of the battle, and Amnesia's accuracy pool is 0)
Accuracy: Same as Quick Attack's
Damage: 0 Power + 3 Strength - 3 Defense = 1 D6 minimum
Effect: -1 accuracy until the target spends an action to stand back up

--------------------------------

Flamethrower x3, Glalie first
Accuracy: 10 - 3/4/5 - 2 = 5/4/3 D6
Damage: 3 Power + 3 Strength + STAB + 2 Blaze - 3 Defense = 6 D6!
Effect: Hold Back for Burn 1 (1)
Note: Blaze can't be nullified by Haze

Note: Mummy doesn't take effect if the contact moves that trigger it have no damage potential due to type immunity/shield moves/similar in the games, so the same probably applies here if the final damage pool is 0, too.

(One move per round correct?)

Heart give some quick orders to Typhon. "Typhon time to bring the Thunder! First use Charge Beam! Then use Spark 2 times. Show them you ability to control the static."

Charge Beam: Dex (3) + Figh (3) + Canalize (3) - Accuracy (1) - Performance (3) = 5d6
Damage: Power (2) + STR (3) + STAB (1) = 6D6
Effect: Roll D5 to increase the STR.

Spark Accuracy 1: Dex (3) + Fight (3) + Canalize (3) - Performance (3) = 6d6
Damage: Power (2) + STR (3) + STAB (1) = 6d6
Effect: D3 Chance to Paralyze

Spark Accuracy 2: Dex (3) + Fight (3) + Canalize (3) - Perfomance (3) = 6d6
Damage: Power (2) + STR (3) + STAB (1) = 6d6
Effect: Know

Ventus' reaction to entering the Cementary was similar in many regards to Shiva's, as he kept silent and grim as the graves that currently surrounded him, and winded his way through the hallowed grounds with utmost care and delicacy. What differed was mainly a matter of the driving intent behind these actions beyond not wishing to cause a ruckus of respect/dencency. Given the sociologist was EXTREMELY and extraordinarily paranoid + fearful/loathing of almost all things remotely arcane/supernatural, being in a graveyard at the dead of night HUNTING FOR GHOSTS was perhaps one of his most nerve wracking nightmares that could possibly manifest for him.

Which, after experiencing the Nightmare Plane conjured into by those foul, diabolical ,and twisted demon dogs that masqueraded as Pokémon, he honestly couldn't discard such a possibility now automatically now. Oh, how this journey through Cheshire has introduced all sorts of wonderfully nasty, supernatural things/phenomena that plague him and his group. Joy....

Fortunately (or not), his recent protracted REVENGE turned redemption quest against Chandelure and his brief but still utterly abhorrent and profoundly disturbing foray into the Skull Ruin had at this point greatly fortified him against spiritual terrors. That, and coupled with his iron clad grip over himself/his emotions and his lovely sister Malphena literally at hand (who was now focusing her attention on the scene for possible threats/targets for a right nasty scare!) ready to defend him, and his current local was less a nightmare experienced and more just discomforting, stressful, and all around plain unpleasant. Still, he would endure such unsavoriness and much more putting on an impenetrable brave/comforting presense as he could to be with his beloved girlfriend and guard from dangers seen and unseen, ever cautious and vigilient whether they be real or imagined.

The researcher wished he didn't have to and that Shiva would have dropped the dangerous prospect after seeing her Cleanse Tag work on their own Ghosts, but alas that was not to be. '*Mental Sighing*......At least she informed me of her plan and gave me the chance to join her, so it shows she's internalized my......concerns, and desire to keep her word she made, despite how....harsh I was last night. *More Mental Sighing* .......I do love her with all my heart, but at times I wish she was exceedingly less earnest and resolved in her ventures, especially ones like this....'

After scooping out the given area himself and coming much the same conclusion that his fae fancy had (IE: This place wasn't crawling with Ghost types), Ven let out a small breath of relief and minutely relaxed his guard a little as he kept watch while Shiva explored/investigated, completely ignoring the gravestones and their inscriptions as he did so after he glanced/analyzed the first few he spotted (FYI: He doesn't see the 'WARREN' Stone). He would not let himself be distracted or diverted from his main objective of safeguarding his most precious girlfriend for more than an angstromsecond, which meant him keeping watch of their surroundings trumped conducting any desire to conduct his own investigations (If he had then in the first place [He doesn't]). That, and being in Cementary had thoroughly killed his curiosity in linue of amplifying his Survival instincts, so when the mystical lass decided to REALLY investigate the WARREN STONE, he just ignored it for the most part. Oh well!

What he did not ignore was the two Marowack that were squaring off in the distance, as he occasionally sent out a glance at them to make sure they were not going to bring their impeding fight over where they were, but since they didn't appear to have any interest to do that right now he filled them under 'Low Level Threats' and didn't engage/sound the alarm. If he could (safely) avoid a fight and wasting his/his sister's energies in it, then that was the plan of action! Shiva's later discovery of them and her subsequently asking for his opinion on what approach to take that got him to think further about handling bone wielding dinosaurs, before he calmly and quietly replied:

"I already am aware and have studied the Marowack line's behavior in nature and civilization from the records made by Kantoan Scientist as a part of my main research and......out of personal interest in the breed (Hint: Family Problems!), so I have no pressing need to idly observe them at this point. *Gives them a faint, charming smile* I do thank you for being considerate, though, my love. As for what is to be done about them, I am in agreement that they need to be subdued and contained (IE: Fought and captured) so they do not make a mess of these resting grounds in their squabble for territory. Fighting them also serves as good practice for our Pokémon, my lovely Malphena, who will have very little to fear from those Marowaks can do, unless they have the rare Ancient Power or Iron Head Egg moves, and the profit we can make off their capture can help us further cover the costs of our expedition into Mt. Sentry tomorrow. Is this all reasonable, my dear?"

Saying that and assuming she agrees in some fashion, he lets go of Malphena and begains to quietly convey his orders for her to go sneak up on both Marowak and chill them to the bone with an Icy Wind, or bar that serve as a distraction while Shiva/Gothitelle come up with their own plan of attack on them. Hopefully with both the creatures distracted with each other, it being the dead of night and Malphena's natural affinity for sneaking/spooking, they should pull off an successful Ambush....

Order: Attempt to have Malphena go up and Ambush both Marowak with a Icy Wind in order to take a bite out of their HP and hobble them from the get go Initiative/Accuracy wise. Given the situation and her practically being in her element right now, perhaps some bonuses for this might be in order? Regardless of whether the Ambush succeeds or not, she'll be using Icy Wind 4 times per Round of combat against them, as its the best possible move to use in this situation to quickly take them down without a fuss. Once KOed, we'll have to decided whether either Shiva and Ventus get one Marowak each, or if one of them get both. Worry about that later though, time to get them Ground types a properly bone chilling they'll not soon forget, hehehehe.....!

(Yes, only one move per round in Tea Ceremony Battles, so plan your attacks/how many Accuracy dice you'll give up for Style accordingly!)

It turned out that subtly asking for Ventus to join her on the graveyard inspection was quite a decent decision, seeing how attentive, watchful and overly protective he gave himself in silent. Sure, Shiva had her Pokemon to defend herself if needed and she fully trusted them, but having Ven with her was simply...on a different level. Not better and not worse than having dear Pokemon around, but instead...sweet in its own rows. How weird however, as she occassionally looked over to him to make sure that she stays close to him, at some point she almost suddenly got the sensation that he was clearly uncomfortable about being here. It if wasn't for her, he'd probably avoid this place all together... Was he fearful? ...No, something told her that he wasn't. He just...didn't like visiting the graveyard at night, at all........ Shiva noticed this despite Ven wasn't showing this on the outside at all, which caused her to be subtly confused, pretty stunned and mildly mystified by her noticing how he was doing anyway. She wasn't sure whether it was his very carefully concealed body language that she picked up, neither how much the fact that they were so close added to this, nor was she 100% sure whether it indeed were her empathic senses that subtly developed within her in silent or whether being out in the night with her Litwick providing the only light apart from the moon and stars above and the faint streets lights coming from Cress City.

Not that she mentioned anything towards her dearest about this, however. Instead, she brought her attention to him to listen to his thoughts about the issue of dealing with these Marowak or now and if so, how - holding silent eye contact with him for a moment longer than necessary, she eventually gave a light nod to him in agreement to his plan of indeed pursuing them to bring some hoped peace back to this precious graveyard.

How he knew about these semi-rare egg moves on the Cubone-line earned him some appreciation, before she gave him an affirmative smile in response to his sentiment about having his Misdreavus trying to sneak on them to suprise them with an...huh, with an Icy Wind? Neat, how did he got this move onto his Ghost Type? Eh, not that important this moment. What was more important was her silently nudging him to speak up once more in a quiet and soft tone: " "Cool that you got an Icy Type move on Malphena, Ven. Quite useful! However, please don't exploit this advantage too much here, as...well, I do agree that it's be good if we deal with these Marowak fast, but doing so super-fast might prevent my Lilith *throwing a glance over to her, which she was returning* from showing her psychic powers. That's the first time we're battling, dear... So, please let me - us - have our chance to contribute a good part to this battle, alright?" (Means, maybe using Icy Wind only 2 or 3 times depending on how the Ambush turns out, Windos? I hope you get the reason behind this sentiment, that's Gothy's debut battle in an awesome scenery after all!)

Once he gave his thoughts on this (or not, his descretion) it was time to turn to her mighty Psychic Type for the sake of giving her some respectful orders. "Lilith... Thank you for agreeing at all to step out against the Marowak in order to bring peace back to this graveyard." Next, Shiva turned her gaze upwards, hoping that Gothitelle would follow. "....Look at all these stars sparkling in a cold light - their aid is with us tonight." *slowly looking back down* "Show me what you read in them tonight. Show me a Future Sight... No, show me TWO Future Sights, please. Show these Marowak what you can do, be so kind." Litwick is taken back onto the back of Shiva's hand, ready to observe the battle and jump at them for their tasty life force as soon as they fall.

-----------------------------------
Orders for this Round: While Malphena attempts to sneak up on these Marowak, Gothitelle is asked to prepare to two Future Sights, one for each Marowak. This move will hit at the end of the next Round and bypasses any Shield Moves as well as Cover, if successful. So hidding behind a gravestone won't save these Marowak!

Accuracy Roll: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 4 Channel - 2 Actions = 7d6
Accuracy Roll: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 4 Channel - 3 Actions = 6d6
Damage Roll: 3 Strength + 5 Power of the move + 1 STAB = 9d6
Additional notes: Gothitelle can safely see images from her own future. Cool.

She also has Frisk Ability. Does she pick up anything from these Marowak or the near surrounding?
