[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
(Well, since Phantom's going to Confuse [Maybe] one of the Marowak, an quick fix to my orders are that if they obey those orders, then Malphena will just substitute her second Confuse Ray with Hex and start going to town on Slowak. No need to waste actions if its unnecessary now!)

"Thank you for the battle as well.  Yeah, he can Teleport while Paralyzed, so no worries.  Quick question before you go: have you ever gone around Mt. Sentry or the Great Divide?  How long did that take you if so?"

So, how much exp did everyone get from this battle?

"I've done the Great Divide in two pieces. The western half took 2 months. The eastern half, more like two or three weeks. Went up Breakneck Ridge both times. It's possible to walk the roots of Mt. Sentry in a week if you're efficient."

The battle was worth 14XP.

If Pokemon agree with your call, they don't always need a roll. I give them different amounts of rolls based on how much they agree with your plans and their personality and so on. Especially once they start taking damage. A Pokemon that is safe to use in battle won't attack a trainer or try to kill a foe Pokemon, but they still sometimes disobey (loaf around, different attack, different target).

Marowak Round 1

Gothitelle suddenly laughs at something.

Quickly the two Marowak ally to fight off these intruders. They toss their bones at the foes and allow their counterpart to catch it, juggling the clubs between them.

Bonemerang 1&2 on Lilith
2* Dex + 4 Fight + 2 Canalize -3/4 actions -1 acc -1 pain = 3d6/2d6
(2)(6)(1)
(1)(4)
4* Str +2 power +1 STAB -4 vit = 3d6
(4)(3)(1)
(4)(5)(4) Lilith takes 4 dmg 5/9hp -1 pain

Obedience: (4)(5) vs (6)(5)(1)

Flatter 1 on Marowak A
(3)(4)(6)(4)
Marowak A became confused! -1 Str for Marowak A

Confuse Ray 1
(4)(5)(6)(3)(3)(5)
Marowak B is also confused!

Insight: (2) Marowak B tosses his club right through/under Malphena. It comes back and hits him in the helmet.
Bonemerang 1&2
(5)(1)(1)
(1)(1) I was going to have that just be one strike, but that's such a poor roll combined with Levitate he manages to hurt himself twice.
(5)(5)(1)
(3)(4)(4) Marowak B takes 4 dmg 2/8hp -2 pain.

Insight: (5) Both Marowak realize they can't use their clubs on Malphena. But they have to wait til Action 3 to use anything.

(4)(1) vs (5)(1)(1)
Psyshock 2
(6)(5)(3)(4)(5)
(2)(6)(2) Marowak A takes 1 dmg 5/8hp -1 pain.

Malphena cackles and curses the bone club as it goes flying back. It ignites with a wave of ghostly energy.
Hex 2
(3)(1)(2)(5)
(4)(1)(2)(3) Marowak B takes 1 dmg 1/8hp -3 pain. It turns and runs like hell.

Insight: (1)
Rage 3
(3) He trips over his club.
(2)(2) but takes no damage.
Flinch: (2)(6) He stays on the ground. I feel the Benny Hill theme should be playing right now. Normally I think Confusion is the weakest status, but dang.

Hex 3
(3)(1)(3) Miss for Miss Malphena.

And then the critical Future Sight falls exactly where Marowak had fled to, leaving him cratered in the ground.
Gothitelle smiles some more, having known that would happen.

Rage 3
(5)
(2) It's ineffective.

Only one Marowak remains, confused and at 5/8hp.

(My orders from last Round are unchanged, so you can assume that Malphena lets out an even more terrifying laugh at their befuddled misfortune as she presses her advantage and keeps nailing the last Marowak with 2 Hexes per Round from here on out! Also, @PhantomUnderYourDesk you still haven't said anything on how we are going to distribute the Marowak, so....?)

Marowak Round 2

Huh, it seems that the slight fear Shiva felt over the battle started was to some degree in vain, and especially Lilith was...audibly amused by something. SOMETHING! It earned her a mildly confused look from Shiva before she remembered that this was probably due to what she saw when casting that Future Sight, one second later she innerly relieved as she took this as a positive sign concerning the battle's outcome, although it slightly pained her herself to see her precious Gothitelle being hit by an attack.

....It indeed was, as the confusion her and Ven's Pokemon inflicted did a fine job easing the situation, it was a weird mixture of coy amusement and mystyfied wondering to watch that one Marowak practically defeating itself.

Giving Ventus one look from the side to silently ask him to leave that defeated and grounded Marowak for her, she raised her hand and allowed Litwick to jump from it directly onto the defenseless' Marowak's s forehead with the words: "It's been a while since you enjoyed a defeated foe's life force. Therefor, here's a tenacious and violent Marowak as a treat, enjoy!~ But please don't take to much, I'd like to catch it once you've served yourself." (With 2 Loyalty vs. 1 custom-Disobediance I'm positive that Litwick will obey.) In her now free hand, she already had a Pokeball (Seal Strength 2) prepared, it'll be thrown towards Marowak B.

"As for you, Lilith - you did a fine job. If you're down to continue, please show me two more Psyshocks - I grew to enjoy the moment when the wave hits."

Accuracy Roll Psyshock: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 4 Channel - 1 Pain - 2 Actions = 6d6
Accuracy Roll Psyshock: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 4 Channel - 1 Pain - 3 Actions = 5d6
Damage Roll: 3 Strength + 3 Power of the move + 1 STAB = 7d6
Additional notes: Deals physical damage. That's it for today from my side, I guess... I'll get some rest then.

As Confusion of all kinds was inflicted by their mystical females upon the Marowak duo and the battle quickly devolved into an utter farce, only then did Ventus let out a small *Sigh* of relief and allow himself to smile + chuckle at the scene. 'I expected my sister and Gothitelle would give them no small amount of trouble, but to think they waylayed them to this extent....... I don't know if its a testament to their immense prowess or the critical blunders of their foes, but never the less its amusing and gratifying to see," the researcher thought, nodding his head in sastifaction as his banshee readied herself once more to curse those Ground types souls to the sweet embrace of oblivion (Fainting). If things continued on a downward trend for their opponents, they wouldn't even last until the end of the 'Round!'

Shiva's decision to let her Litwick feast on the freshly fainted Marowak when the other was still conscious and battle ready earned her a raised eyebrow and a telling frown, but in the end he just shook his head and let her do things the way she felt best. If the candlestick spirit ended up getting savaged due to this, it would serve as a lesson NOT to 'jump the gun' , so to speak. A harsh one to be sure, but that would make it all the more impactful. Besides, given how this fight turned out, they posed no real danger to them in the long run, so let them do what they must.....

Once BOTH Marowak were down, he tug at his most blessed of girlfriend's sleeve and quietly warn her he's going to be summoning Apsis to Paralyze/Poison both Marowak to make them easier to capture (Which might as well automatically happen, give we agreed to this OOC), before he tosses a regular Pokeball at the freshly fallen Marowak A out of respect/deference to her choice in target. If they proved too difficult to capture.....well, it be a good opportunity for some meat for all their carnivorous Pokémon at least.

Order: Apsis will be brought out AFTER both Marowak are defeated to Paralyze and Poison them with Glare and Held Back Poison Sting, before Ven and Shiva capture their respective bulky bone bruiser. He'll try two time with two Pokeballs, before leaving it for either Shiva to capture herself if she wants (Since she has plenty of Pokeballs), or offer that Marowak for Litwick to fully drain its life out of and let Yena go to town eating them. Such is the way of nature, if they can't be caught, sold, and civilized.

So let's see...5 each for Charmeleon and Furret since they did most of the work, 2 each for Ralts and Ditto...and 7 for Nathan!  Which means...

Finally spending 40 exp to level Dex to 5!  Woo hoo!

Now then, back to Cress City to get everyone healed up.  And we'll wrap up encounter number 3 with...some training for Ralts, Rhea, and Ditto.  Ralts and Rhea are playing together while Nathan is having Ditto practice Transforming again, trying to figure out if everything is working like it should.

He sends a text to everyone afterwards.

Nathan moves now with noticeable grace, his environments having less potential to trip him up now. If he could see himself, it would remind him slightly of Sid.

Marowak Round 2

Bonemarang 1 & 2 on Lilith
(3)(6)(3)(5)
(5)(3)(3) Using his club without a partner seems a bit easier for the lonely Pokemon.
(6)(2)(2)
(2)(1)(6) Lilith takes 2 dmg 3/9hp -2 pain. She's getting a little weary of this battle.

Obedience: (3)(2) vs (3)(2)(5)

Gothitelle retires to let Malphena take on the task.

Hex 1
(5)(2)(1)(1)(4)(4)
(6)(3)(1)(3) Marowak A takes 1 dmg4/8hp -2 pain

Hex 2
(6)(1)(2)(2)(3)
(6)(3)(6)(2) Marowak A takes 2 dmg 2/8hp -2 pain.

Marowak flees, Malphena cackling and feeding on his fear with encouragement from Ventus. Eventually he too is KO'd, since Malphena is faster.

Shiva's Pokeball: (2)(1) vs (4) That Pokeball breaks.
Ventus' Pokeball: (6)(3) vs (6), (3)(2) vs (4) That Pokeball breaks.
Ventus' Pokeball 2: (5)(6) vs (4) Marowak was caught!
Shiva's Pokeball 2: (4)(4) vs (3) Marowak was caught!

They have identical stats, except one has Lightning Rod and the other has Rock Head. Each is holding a Bone/Thick Club.

0/0/3 for disobedience stats.

Growl, Tail Whip, Bone Club, Headbutt, Leer, Bonemerang, Bone Rush, False Swipe, Fling.

With that disobedience, they're worth about $1000 each, but the Thick Clubs would bump that up to 3k total when both are sold.
