[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

Considering how the dice rolls for his NPCs were going recently, that seems like a rather apt comparison...

Glad everything seems like it's going to go okay, though!

'For those who are not used to Ditto logic, here's what happened: Ditto's Hidden Power transforms the target into a Ditto! That target can then use Transform, handheld game style.
Yet the true Ditto retains the appearance of the target from Transform.
So it kind of appeared as if the Pokemon switched places.'

Well, don't that beat all! Conferring even limited Transformation on other being can both be a powerful boon for allies (Force Multiplier!) AND bane for enemies (Forced Polymorph, anyone?), depending on the situation, so this is a real neato power overall! Wondering if it works on humans, though, since target is a rather blanket/general term being used right there...

Also, going to hold off posting for the night, as I both need to have dinner and do some serious studying for a few exams this week and the next! I'll make a reply by tomorrow afternoon, though, so it won't be for TOO long....hopefully, anyway.

It can't turn a human into a Pokemon, and if Ditto becomes a human, interaction would probably reveal the duplicity quite quickly. The Pokemon doesn't copy a human's intelligence.

The catch is it only lasts until Ditto drops its own Transformation (whether it's willingly, when recalled, KOed, or transitioning to the next day).  And the target could probably Transform back into themselves if they can still see Ditto (assuming they even realize what happened in the first place).  However, this could definitely be useful for 'swapping pokemon', per say, if one person would specifically find a Ditto more useful than something else.  Or for disrupting an opponent's actions for at least an entire round.

That reminds me: there was a sidequest in USUM that focused on that.  The Ditto Five.  The 'humans' couldn't speak like humans, instead having a Ditto's cry/'speech'.  (Lots of 'Dit...' and similar in the text boxes).

Glad you're doing at least fine and returned home safely, Iron!~

.....What a weird Hidden Power. I hope that at least IRL today we can end this discussion and departure into Mount Sentry... Assume that Shiva herself watches it all with mild interest and a very attentive Meowstic on her right shoulder having his two tails half-curled around her neck, but doesn't comment on things and simply and silently desires to leave the meeting alongside Ven and head to bed. Forgive me, but it has been stretched way too long already for my taste.

In fact I was thinking to change Gargryph for Koa or Netune, for the reasons I explain in my new post.

I'm all for considering suggestions but making a final decison on one's own - post in GameThread incoming, because I feel that Shiva does have a small thing to add what you said there, Spirit.
