Ven takes Ditto being a Sableyes in stride, as A) He doesn't know it hadn't scanned/memorized the appearance of one beforehand and B) Transforming into Pokemon is just what Dittos do!

I would have thought Nathan's confusion/exasperation coupled with Ditto coming out of the pokeball as a Sableye outright (Transformations are usually cancelled when a pokemon is recalled) might have been enough clues that something is weird about Ditto, but ah well...it is what a Ditto does, but I do wonder how long Ventus will be able to keep that mindset up for with this particular Ditto...

Ven was too distracted by coming up with a good argument to obtain Grid from to notice that detail, but even then Ven probably would just assume its either a quirk of that Ditto or of Cheshire Dittos in general and simply accept/investigate it and then accept it. He's a researcher, but he's not going to worry himself to the bone over every odd thing he comes across!

It's probably a lot easier to move on to thinking about other topics when you don't have to deal with said quirk on a semi-daily basis and try to plan around it should you want to use the pokemon with said quirk (Nathan is quickly learning that he's probably going to have to do just that, but he's not quite figured it out fully yet...soon, though.  Soon.)

Humm..... I'm liking all of these encounters except these Shinx which I'm not interested in to be honest, and am undisclosed between taking that Crustle with Azumarill or going for precious gemstones. I also feel like either me or Ven should take on that Stone Puzzle as we two have the highest Insight.

Whomever has Starmie, mind if you do a quick autoswitch for Grid, so that Ven can go do the puzzles with them Illuminating the room? Unless Nathan wants to do it with Solomon and Starmie themselves, that is, as they are a smart cookie themselves that might like doing puzzles more than Ven! If that's the case, I'll probably have Ven Solo Crustle with Malphena, as that sounds like a worthy combat Encounter for her to flex her wizardy muscles!

If someone else wants to do the Stone Puzzle, I'll go over with Valder and hand him a Pickaxe so that we may both start digging away. If that's the case, am I allowed to claim that Stone Puzzle as I'm silently searching for ways to reason Shiva's soon maxed Insight, and she has a flashlight on cell for light?

Abaddon knows only Destiny Bond, Mirror Coat, Counter, Charm, Encore, Safeguard, and Struggle, has the Ability Shadow Tag, and has 8/8 HP. Might not be the best to use him against Crustle, though, since Bug types are SE against him. Unless you are planning to Destiny Bond Deal with them, in which case go nuts!

Sure, take the Puzzle! Shiva's a smart cookie too, and Ven can certainly help out with digging! Guess that leaves Nathan to go hunting after the Shinx, since he's the only besides Valder that has a Water Pokémon and isn't doing anything else. Maybe he'll catch the little guy/gal and start emuating his father in more ways than one!
