Oh. To say that Shiva was not dissapointed as these Chingling shied away from her when she was oozing friendliness deliberately, would be blatant lying. However, she does not give any sign of that on the outside.

But, she immediately withdraws her hand. "No? Now, you quite keep me guessing in order to reveal your mystery, don't you? Well well, but you're only making me more curious. Sly ones, you! You won't get rid of me that easily anymore. How....How about you show me - us - in a friendly battle then what you are capable of with your big clappers? You five against me, two of my Pokemon and the people that came with me -" *waving to Nathan and Valder* "NO FAINTING. How could I hit such cuties like you unconscious!~ NO CATCHING EITHER, at least from my side. If we win, one of you must consider coming with me so that I can further study what caused your weird growing, potentinally with the intention to one day having you evolved into a precious Chimecho to try to breed more of special Chingling. (All the various Incenses needed for breeding are available at Shiva's home). I won't take one of you with me with force, however it's your choice - but you have to honestly CONSIDER it. If we loose, you won't hear a thing from me again anymore. Does that sound like a deal?"

*gazing over her shoulder* "You'll join with one or two Pokemon yourselves, Nathan and Valder, in this conditions?" Dizzy, if she's still lurking by Shiva's side, gets a friendly look that, between the pages, won't allow disobediance though. "You please stay in the background, Dizzy. Chip in when you feel like we're entering danger zone in this battle - but again, please do not faint them."

Mechanics:
Battle Start! My two Pokemon of choice are Furret (already out) and Cottonee (gets summoned if the Chingling agree), in return for her Spindle Weed Incense she receive the Soothe Bell from Shiva which she hides in her fluff, in order to give chiming sounds herself as she moves and battles. Gothitelle gets withdrawn, if things get dire, she'll replace one of my Pokemon. Next: Init order.

If either Nathan or Valder want their own Chingling taken with force, Shiva won't like it too much - but it's their decision, neither me nor Shiva will object.

Nincada doesn't eat, but it does sip the cold tea a bit. This is actually a good sign - they don't eat at all during the days before their evolution. When they emerge from their skin, they usually eat ravenously.

Nincada is still not producing those needed hormones.

Frowning as he puts away the uneaten food for another occasion, Ventus puzzles over exactly what has stalled the Nincada Evolution if its body temperature or metabolism isn't the issue. He doesn't have much experience with the species outside what he's read from literature and working with their Evolutions, but perhaps if he does some brainstorming he'll have a eureka moment and stumble upon the answer!

Order: I've hit a wall when it comes to finding out the trigger to Nincada's Evolution, so I am requesting an Insight + Knowledge Roll to figure out what exactly it is or for more hints. If possible, could his status as a Pokémon Researcher also add a bonus to that too? I ain't smart with puzzles, Iron, so rather than blindly grope for answers I'll just beg for them instead!

Nathan doesn't audibly respond.  He does look ready to chip in if it comes to a battle, though...he has a feeling these Chingling are stronger than they appear to be...

Well, if a battle is gonna start, Nathan's first two pokemon will be Swiftfire and Solomon.

The researcher *Snapped!* his fingers as the solution to the gelid insect's plight came to him in a burst of Insight, causing him to break out into a smile once more as he regarded the Nincada. "Now I see why you've haven't yet evolved, despite clearly being ready for it: the current environmental conditions are preventing it, and your still frigid despite your spar! Hmm......I believe I may have a solutions for both situation, if you permit."

Saying this, Ventus recalls both Michael and Malphena and summons Raphael and Lucifer in their place, before rummaging through his satchel for a bit and pulling out a fluffy green tweed sweater identical to the one he's wearing!

"Now, with your consent, I could let you snuggle in this *motions with his hand holding the sweater* to help raise core body temperature, while my Togekiss uses Morning Sun to produce some artifical sunlight and my Noibat uses Tailwind to simulate summer time conditions in order to head aid in your Evolution! Failing that, I'm willing to accept you into my care and escort you to the surface myself to enable your evolution via that method, again if you allow. Are those acceptable choices, Nincada?

Order: Offer to warm them up with the sweater + create artificial summer condition with Raphael and Lucifer's combined aid, or take them in WITHOUT catching them and simply caring for them until they Evolve or reach the surface, whichever comes first. Time to warm things up, maybe!

Morning Sun is a great way to warm up that sweater and thus, the Nincada!

The frost melts away, dampening the sweater a bit. This proves no obstacle to Nincada. The split in its skin grows wider - legs and wings start poking out. Evolutionary light masks the rest, but where Nincada had been is now a flying and agile Ninjask!

The skin of Nincada remains behind. Tiny licks of evolution's light play over the shed, lifting it upright and eventually forming a halo around it. The skin peels aside as it is drawn up into the tunnel Nincada cocooned in, forming little wings. The rare ghost Pokemon slowly phases through the rock, and a pleased humming noise follows its passage in the direction your party is heading. Finally, it fades from audibility.

Ninjask is still buzzing around, however, acting as though it didn't even see the extraordinary Shedinja. Now it will eat right out of Ventus' hand, and spends lots of time practicing its new powers as its wings dry out. 

Ventus gains 2XP.

Alright, got an interesting set of orders coming up.

"Swiftfire, let's let your horn do some of the talking, shall we?  Careful not to KO them with it, though.  Hit any damaged targets with Flame Charge.  Solomon, hit them with a couple Power Gems, please.  both of you, try and remove targets one by one, starting with the group that's reacting more quickly (Group A). And do be careful not to KO any of them if you can avoid it, please."

Effect: +1 Dex!  (also moves Swiftfire to the top of the initiative order!)

For some reason, Shiva's Pokemon didn't seem very eager to fight - or maybe they were just nice and let the others go first. Actually, that was exactly what Furret was doing - GOING FIRST!! WHATEVER THESE CHINGLING CAN, FURRET CAN AS WELL. Seeing him so eager was a tad bit stunning, yet somewhat adorable to see for her, and Cottonee had to nudge Shiva gently by the cheek to remind her that she was in need for orders. "Ah... Well then, how about stirring them up with a Fairy Wind, dear one? Then, do what you can do well - drain some energy!~ Yes, you can involve the ferns if you like."

Seeing that fierly horse charge horn-forward was...somewhat scary to see, Shiva could barely watch if that move hits.

Orders for this Round: Me First from Furret, followed by a Fairy Wind and Giga Drain from Cottonee! As said, please HOLD BACK at appropriate times to prevent the Chingling from fainting.
