[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
Yena ranges out, and you hear the skittering suddenly become very fast.

Yena's dex: (2)(3)(1)
Skittering dex: (2)(4)(3)

Yena comes back calmly. Guess the skittering was no kind of threat. He didn't manage to herd it over here, though.

With mixed feelings Shiva welcomed her butterwolfly back in her arms. "You didn't manage to lead it here? Ah, nevermind, I'm still proud of you - you scared if off, which I'd likely ask you to do anyway sooner or later. So... Very well done!~"

Joy- and playfully she lets the huge canine lick over her face and sprinkle her robe with shield dust, but Shiva had to clean her glasses afterwards. When he placed his head into her lap again, she absent-mindedly ruffled through the black fur on his neck, continuing to observe things, block out these scary moans and take care to not let the surroundings overwhelm her now that she was all alone with Yena, Dizzy and her jar with the fern again. Sharing Tropius' fruit between them all helped greatly as it kept her busy.

--------------------
Mechanics:
If nothingelse happens, Shiva will gladly let someonelse take over the second watch to get some sleep herself. It has been agreed that Ventus does take the second one today, if he feels fine doing so - GM's discretion as Windos' busy and he asked to auto him if necessary.

Ventus asks for a Heal Pulse for Durant and takes second watch.

(5)(1)(4)(2)(6)(2) Now it's at 11/12hp.

Nothing happens on that watch. The skittering has vanished. The moaning in the pipes is still there, but it doesn't seem threatening. Ventus thinks it could even be mechanical.

It is now Day 59.
In the morning, Ditto has returned to its Pokeball.

Mr. Finder: "We're in luck. The tunnel ahead is pretty straight after about an hour of winding. No forking. No big caverns. Lots of Pokemon I don't recognize, though."

Alright, Day 59 then!  Let's get the morning rigmarole outta the way!

Ralts is a bit more tired than Nathan is since he spent the night with Ventus, meaning he was technically on watch too (though he was ultimately more concerned with watching Ventus than anything else).  He ends up getting a bit more sleep in his Dull Premier Ball.  Now, whether Malphena got up to any shenanigans with Ralts or not is another matter...(we can address this in FLASHBACK! PMs if ya want, @Lord Windos)

Nathan also sends out Ditto to see if it's still stuck as an Oddish or randomly Transformed into something else!

...

...
Calam's been instructed to keep an extra close eye on Solosis now since the blob finally has full HP again.

Swiftfire is brought out immediately by Nathan once everyone is ready to depart, and he's staying very close to her.  This path is supposed to be getting even COLDER according to Mr. Finder...brrrr...he can just about feel a worse chill coming on him already...

"...well...guess we better get goin', th-then..."

It was quite a relievement for Shiva as Ventus eventually arrived by her side to take the second nightwatch, as it means that she was free from that moaning in the pipes and walls!~ But she didn't leave him alone after he assured her that he was okay and willing to take the watch, neither before she hasn't gifted him a soft good-nights-kiss on his cheek.

Unfortunately, her mind was still ringing as she has eventually laid down for rest, but both Cottonee's soft and familiar fluff as well as the acknowledgement that Yena was sleeping right by her side eventually assured her to find the way into the meadows of her dream realm.

*****

She belonged to the last ones to leave the tent, if not THE last person as she prefered to not leave her place right away after waking up: She only did so after both having checked her notes about the presumed date, expected moon phase up on the surface and having taken both two pills/capsules of the Vitamin D/St. John's Wort respectively. She still felt like she needed these natural meds to keep herself going down here - how much longer will they stay inside this mountain, how far do these tunnels reach? Will they succeed and find the Library? These and several more questions were lingering in her mind, unable to be answered until the right time has come.

Too well Shiva does not look as she met up with the others outside of the tent, she still kept Cottonee close in her arms and Yena + Dizzy flanking her sides. With interest but also with a portion of worry she noted the opening that there are many Pokemon Mr. Finder and his Slurpuff cannot recognize - she had enough Balls just in case, and threw a glance over to the three Pokemon with her, as if assuring to herself that they're there to protect her.

As the group descends, she mostly keeps somewhere in the middle, observing the tunnel and keeping an eye open for any curiosities. Was the tunnel still made of walls of ice?

Yes - the tunnel is mostly ice and clay, with occasional rock and still a few lingering pipes.

Encounter 1

The icy tunnel gets a little wider and a lot taller. Great dimpled sculptures of ice form on the walls, the result of dripping water and sliding stone. The nooks and crannies get deeper as the tunnel gets taller. Occasional spars of ice bridge the path.

Snorunt and Swinub are occasionally visible on the icy ramparts. Swiftfire's warmth (and light, of course) is entirely necessary at this point.

As you descend between a particularly impressive icy palace, twinkling with embedded objects, you hear a welcoming "Cawwww!" The call is very friendly and curious, and followed by a flapping of clumsy wings. A swarm of tiny Delibird streaks overhead, so fast it is little more than a red and white blur, and drops Presents on the heads of the party!

Minor explosions go off. Pokemon are healed, poisoned, or damaged; or find themselves clutching actual gifts. Little stoneware mugs of hot, milky liquid and funny square tablets end up in the hands of every human.

Additional gifts:
Nathan (5)(4) Scraps of tinfoil
Swiftfire (3)(2) Swiftfire takes 2 dmg
Calam (5)(1), (1)(3) Sitrus Berry
Solosis (4)(1) Solosis takes 2 dmg
Ventus (5)(4) Bent rebar
Shiva (4)(2), (4)(4) Persim berry
Cottonee (2)(2) Cottonee was paralyzed!
Yena (6)(4) Red gem worth $400
Dizzy (2)(5), (4)(4) Persim berry
Mr. Finder (2)(4), (4)(6) Persim berry
Slurpuff (4)(1) Slurpuff takes 2 dmg
Heart (6)(4) Blue gem worth $500
Valder (5)(6) Pink and yellow Egg

Pleased with their gift giving, the Delibird come to roost on the icy formations high above. They look down at you expectantly.

Okay...Delibird using Present...well, this brings back memories...

...except not all of these Presents are necessarily...non-harmful.

In any case, Nathan's not going to look a gift horse in the mouth, as the saying goes back on the ranch.  A warm beverage is exactly what he needs right now, and it seems the Presents did more good than harm...the Delibird certainly have his thanks for the well intentioned Present fest.

...how the heck these Delibird got ahold of things like tinfoil scraps, warm drinks, and even a Pokemon Egg is certainly beyond him, though...Present is a VERY weird move...

Though thinking about it, why is his left hand colder than his right?

Nathan takes a closer look at the square tablet he was given...

...

...well, first off, that stone tablet is ICY COLD, and even has a little frost on it.  Brrrr...

...but wait a second...it's got pictures on it?  Hmmm...

"...whoa.  Guys, these tablets have pictures on them."

*looks at Valder's tablet*

"...whoa."

Nathan's depicts a Delibird using Fly (the Legendary HM) against an indistinct bug, by the way.  So we have one using Fly, one battling a Mew...Nathan wonders what other Legendary feats might this normally weak pokemon be depicted doing on the rest of these tablets...
