[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
(05-15-2018, 06:58 PM)Iron Wrote: It was a great way to take advantage of my idea of having Bergmite headbutt everything. I love it.

Exploited its curiosity. <3 Headbutt or even Skull Bash would make great moves would it then, maybe it can be tutored in the latter by either Shiva if she gets better at it or an official Tutor? One way or the other, YES for Ice Body Ability, this'll work great if paired with my snowy Vulpix, even Fighting/Fire/Rock/Steel attacks with have a hard time chipping through *6 Vitality!~

Stay safe on that trip, and I'll eagerly and silently await more pictures of ephemerals and snakes.

Aww, am I the only one who's actively interested in rp'ing a bit more in this world after the journey through the region ended, if the threads won't end up closed then? It's too early yet to elaborate, however.

I guess I've already said or hinted it somewhere, but I'm not planning or desirering to take part in another online campaign after this one for a while, (carefully exluding Pathfinder and a PokeRole-Game that focuses on Contests) my stamina and time isn't endless and there's so much stuff I want to do and get into afterwards, plus I'd rather settle for a Storyteller who has mastered several campaigns already. Though, nothing speaks against taking the role of an NPC.

No.  I have some ideas for post-game things I might like to try exploring with Nathan.  And maybe some...other characters as well.  I don't really want to focus on that until we get there, though.

Hmmmm...well, fair point on the 'inexperienced' part, but I still want to give it a shot.  And there might be some NPCs you'd be interested in.  Maybe.  Not sure, though. Don't want to give much away about the world atm, so I can't elaborate currently.

(◕‿◕)☆ Nothing's carved one-hundred-percently in massive stone yet, I'm having various already-existing own charas that could easily be turned into Pokemon Trainers, that wouldn't be an issue. It'd be more that I'd simply be less active because i.a. learning how to sprite to contribute to FanGame-Projects already costs time and dedication.

Anyway, big post in GameThread is incoming to react to various things, I can't find a proper split.

It might be wise to take a month or so break after this campaign ends, to avoid burnout.

I don't think anyone having gone through a campaign of this size is truly inexperienced, and Dragon has played D&D before this.

Taking a break then definitely sounds like an idea and a good way to explain a time-skip forward, accepted.

So? Experienced as a roleplayer I'd surely agree to, but gamemastering still feels to me like a much different experience and isn't something that should be done half-hearted. Or, to phrase it differently, I'm having a lot of respect towards good GMs/DM who do their job decently. Doing it poorly, even if unintentionally, does certainly show rather quickly.

Perhaps I would take a break too after such campaigh such as Skull Ruins. But I will love to continue on another campaigh. Well, there is Celadon City too, but make journey in two differents pokemon campaighs is always a good thing. And there is the team I will need to think after this journey ends, hmmm.
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

I definitely think that's a decent suggestion.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Big Grin

I agree, it is a different experience.  That's why I want to give it a shot.  Only way to know if I can do a half-decent job and how much I might improve is to give it a try!

But again, we're still a loooonnnggg ways away from my campaign. I've got lots of time to prep for it.

If I wouldn't have various reading/drawing/playing/whatever-projects ongoing aside from RP'ing in my life after work, I'd certainly agree, but to get everything done that I'd like to do I'm simply lacking the time and stamina. :C Shiva is giving me a decent amount of stuff to do already:

*an yet-invisible hand comes out from a hole in a medium-sized, evergreen tree's trunk with a purely white bark while Shiva is taking a walk through the small but dense, whimsical forest she found herself in after having followed a wild Cleffa, nudges her on the shoulder and pulls her close until she's facing a ghostly figure of her size and build who just manifested in front of the tree, calmly whispering to her with a warm smile:* My dear, I'm your creator. Finally we meet...
(Shiva: ) *gaaaaaasps and is unable to make the tiniest sound. Cottonee by her side seems overjoyed however and comes closer, very unafraid.*
I came in peace. *strokes Cottonee fondly* Do you actually know how much work you're giving me to keep you vivid and up-to-date?
N-No...? Is that a shiny Sylveon by your side?!
Let me cast you away for only shortly... *takes her by the hand to show her all the notes, drawings, scribbles, simply everything* I haven't even added your newly-caught Bergmite yet.
*is awestruck and visibly overwhelmed* I...I totally didn't knew! I'm so sorry!! *beginns to silently sob, then covers and raises her arms over head, expecting a telling-off from the true Master*
*Reaches out with a hand towards her, very very slowly...... Only to softly pat her on the head* Nah, it's work I much enjoy, so I don't mind.
*now sobs out of thankfulness for the creator's compassion, and leans into the pat* I love you.
*blinks in suprise, but is moved* ...I didn't know you were interested in your own gender as well. I can add that, but stay faithful to Ventus, hm? Well... I need to go...May we meet again, Shiva Axxxxxxxxxx. *slowly retreats, as Sylveon begins to wave its ribbons wildly*
No... It's fine.... Don't go! Please, I'm having so many questions...!!
Goodbye. *in a last wave of the Fae-Eevee's ribbons, the figure has completely disappeared again, leaving only a slight and comfortable breeze in the tree's upper leaves*

- And so, the fae-enthusiast has gained a new viewpoint on things today. Maybe she'll catch less Pokemon from now on when she has gotten out of the forest, or do less timeconsuming and wordy things.

Probably not.

TBH, I think there's already enough fourth wall breaking in the Celadon Campaign alone...
