He sniffs and gestures that the owner is at least very far away.

Upon returning to the group (and thus returning Lucifer to Ventus), Nathan shows them the tail tip.

"...Solomon was d-definitely here, unless there are other Slowpoke down here.  Ditto says the's owner of this tail is st-still r-rather far away."

Good news, but still worrying.  Nathan clearly wants to press on. These meat gathering Durant are disturbing...

Ventus, could ask Lucifer to cast Tailwind in me and Patrat? That way I will be more quick in scout a bigger area and quick hide if the danger be too much big."

Ventus thinks over Heart's proposal for a moment.....before shaking his head with a slight, regretful frown.

"I rather we all stick together from here on out, and handle threats as an entire group rather than you potentially falling pray to whatever lay ahead. That, and as I said earlier to him, Lucifer's Tailwids could be used to speed us all along towards our friends that much more quickly in conjuction with riding on our respective mounts, so I rather put their powers towards that end than a scouting attempt in such hostile territory. You are free to disregard my opinion and scout ahead regardless, but my brother will remain with me and the group. Forgive me if this seems unreasonable, but I rather err on the side of caution and haste than not......."

That worried and determined expression was something Shiva neatly mirrored in her own careful style, a hint of fear and hope were somehow mixed in as well. She strengthtens in her posture to stand upright (which made her appear bigger than she usually was), crosses her arms and fixates the PUNisher with an unreadable and blank expression now, in short: She looks like a mother that really cares for her young ones.

The voice she adresses Heart also sounded like it doesn't allow any nonsense. "No. Heart, if possible, stick with us for a little from now on. These Whirlipede you mentioned were nasty enough already - what if you'd end up poisoned and impossible to return to us, or we'd have found you too late? We're not biting nor fight for the other side, we ARE A GROUP. Ocassional splitting up is fine if it's optimal and reasoned, but that's not the case right now. Please. There's...something further ahead.... And I'd rather not risk IT finding you before we find IT. Bravery is noble, but it may quickly evolve into recklessness under the right - or wrong - circumstances. Alright?"

The researcher initially was relieved that Heart elected to stick with the group this time around, as a horrid fate befalling him was one less thing for them to worry, but they almost blanch as they made known the extent they were willing to sacrifice for everyone.

In a rare instance, Ventus had been rendered speechless by their declaration, as it went completely against the image he held of the fun, pun loving Pokémon collecter and stunned him greatly. However, it was clear from his aghast expression and pensive silence he didn't believe in self sacrifice or martyrdom of any kind......unless it applied to himself and the need was truly dire....
