Valder finds Shiva when she has some time. He suggests they do their round trade here, as it'll be more of a special trade if they do it in the secrt library iteslf! Might be good for the pokemon as well!
 Haunter's up.
Valder will talk with Haunter modestly and say that they'll be back in his party in a second, and that he looks forward to seeing how they've grown. Valder will try his best to comfort Haunter, in other words.

She was lazing around and eating fruit in a neaby hammock of Atheneum to rest a little after the battle (while her magical fox was practicing his new skill of gaining a focused state in the glowing tip of his basswood stick if all went well), so of course she's up for that trade!~

In the blink of an eye Helios is withdrawn with the Time Capsule in return for Azu, the Kadabra gets summoned immediately and receives a serious and almost nostalgic glance from Shiva. "You know Helios, I guess the time has finally come. The time for you to become even mightier than before, the time where we amplify your psychic power to be immense. Haaaahhh, it's been so long since I've trained you to gain control over them at all after I've won you as an Abra in Ginger Town, but I still remember it clearly before my own mental eye." *waving gesture towards the current area* "The place for you to become an Alakazam can't be better, I'd say. Currently we are in Atheneum or the Secret Library - a place of more knowledge than I could ever imagine. If you are fine with evolving now, I'll recall you into your Ball and place you into this machine," *pointing to it* "you'll experience some new energy waves while being in there. Waves that I'd never put you under if it wouldn't be necessary for you to reach your final form - but there seems to be something very unique about these waves if they are able to awake the rest of psychic power within you. It may be startling at first, Helios, but know that all will be safe in the end."

"Trust me, as I am trusting in your teleporting skills......"

Insight Check at -1 to see if Helios understands: 4d6. If successful, no loss of Happiness and Loyalty for him and he'll be instant-obediant as an Alakazam.

Wherever Nathan currently, is Shiva will carefully and a bit meekly approach him and ask for that battle held at Atheneum's courtyard - right in front of The Gauntlet, if Celebi allowes.

Conditions

2vs2, my Pokemon of choice a Braixen and Gothitelle. No healing items, and no fainting please. No outright steamrolling of the opponent either, the intention is to help Braixen. Trying to win anyway is of course allowed!

Hmmm...well, Marco's originally from Cress, so I guess it'll be on his mom's side in that case.

Oh, so we're being open about our pokemon choices?  Okay then!

At first, Nathan gets a lot more nervous and uncertain when Shiva approaches...something which Kirlia mirrors.  Charmeleon's nearby as well, seemingly more concerned with examining the red and orange orb he's now holding.

When it turns out to be a battle request...Nathan looks at Kirlia and Charmeleon...

Charmeleon looks like he wouldn't mind a little action.  Kirlia doesn't look like he wants to battle, but...

"...well, alright then.  A little quick practice couldn't hurt.  Give me a sec, though. I'll meet you out there in a few minutes."

Nathan will be using Charmeleon and Kirlia (which kinda parallels Braixen and Gothitelle in a way).  Let's see some initiatives!

Both Pokemon go whirling through time and space, away and back and away and back again on a round trip! No loss of happiness/loyalty for either.

When they return, they are an amazing Alakazam and a wicked Gengar!

Gengar immediately begins practicing his increased powers of hiding in shadows, and Alakazam shows off the increased range of his psychic abilities. The savant Pokemon doesn't have too much interest in most books, but mastery of his craft is what matters to him.

Yaaaayyy! He can stay out while Shiva rests and eats more fruit while Lilith and magical fox recover in the Healing Machine, especially since he shall be present when approaching the next place of interest within Atheneum. Maybe get used to his insane IQ of over 5000 and having two spoons to bend at his own discretion. He'll obey Shiva's commands, but only if they don't go against his nature! ...For now.

Kirlia: (1) + 8 = 9

Memories with a bitter aftertaste however as it's been a scary sight how the fierly lizard demolished her Iron Ball... In fact, Nathan gets mildly sceptical gaze from her underlined with a worried frown. "...I'll hope the battle won't end in a disaster, Nathan, and that you are able to keep that particular Charmeleon under control."

It was amazing how both of Shiva's Pokemon were incredibly eager to show their skills, earning a sly and curious smile from her! Maybe that was the influence of Atheneum or the Gauntlet? Kirlia seems rather indifferent to this battle.  It's quite the contrast to how both he normally acts and how gung ho Charmeleon is to be flexing his fire power again.  It definitely looks like he's listening to Nathan more carefully than before, too.
