Heart smile. He finally take a moment to see the bird like Pokemon. "Welp, I didn't know you get a Masking Nathan. You are full of surprises. And yes Shiva, that Pokemon is a Tandorian Pokemon, one very rare even in Tandor. Masking have abilities similar to a Zoroa and can cause illusions. But it have access to the move Transform. And have a rare typing: Pyschic/Ghost."

(Masking's a pure Psychic Type, but since Shiva doesn't know this she's totally believing Heart.)

Shiva had to throw another gaze at that weird birdlike Pokemon after being told that this is supposed to be a Psychic/Ghost Type. Weird and unique combinaton, do the Tandorian people have more of such curiosities in their natural fauna? "'Masking'... Weird name for a species. But it's rather cute, for sure!" 'Not as cute as precious Zorua however!', she silently added in her mind. "Well... Again, thanks for the help! We will...see one another inside the Library again in some way or the other, I s'ppose. Come on, Delphox! There's a reason why I've been so eager to your psychic powers awaking before we all make our way back to the surface."


Lilith is withdrawn into her painted Premier Ball and placed into the Healing Machine as the first thing to do, Delphox can stay out though for now as he's at -1 Pain only.

"....HAH! I KNEW this wasn't your Kirlia but some different Pokemon behind an illusion! Good trick, but the curtain has been lifted. Good attack, Braixen, I hope you'll....well... will get over the heartache soon enough..." Shiva's smiling in delight and satisfaction, but she also finds herself eying this weird birdlike Pokemon in wonder. What IS this, this who seems to be another user of the infamous Illusion Ability??

N....No time to ask that right now, as it was weirdly amusing to see usually calm and reserved Lilith outright slapping that Charmeleon for engulfing her in flames. Hmmpf, that'll teach ya a lesson, fierly lizard! But what caught her even more was that that flashy red light that could...only mean one thing....

Could it be?

.....It could definitely be, and it turned out to be true as her magical fox let out a very melodic howl at his Master in a greeting manner! For one moment, Shiva simply STARED at her fully evolved Pokemon. The next moment, she was right in his arms to enwrap him into an overjoyed embrace, affectionately burying her face into his fur. His fur felt incredibly soft and warm, and right now like the cuddliest thing Shiva could imagine. "Oh Braixen! You've indeed made it... We 've indeed made it... You're are full-fledged mage now, and a burning one on top of that... From the moment I calculated you being there in the den of Fireweed Forest I've looked forward to your dormant psychic powers awakening from deep within you...."

One last squeeze for Delphox and a thankful pat for Lilith later, Shiva turns to Nathan once more before she'll make her way into Atheneum again. "Good battle!", she tells him in a praising voice. "Thanks for helpin' out. If you don't mind, I'll get back in then... But b'fore that, do tell me please: What is this weird birdlike Pokemon of yours? Again from Tandor?"


Along the way, she also stops to lightly and playfully punch Heart into the shoulder.

"...wasn't exactly trying very hard to hide it.  Attract working when it shouldn't have, the lack of Trace activating, and using a move that Kirlia doesn't know yet are pretty dead giveaways by themselves if you're familiar with what Kirlia can actually do and how Illusion works."

Nathan puts a hand on Charmeleon's shoulder and smiles.  "Even though you lost, you did great, friend.  I've got a little something to give you in a little bit.  Thanks for being a good sport.  Let's go get you and Juliet healed up."

When Shiva asks that question about Juliet's species, Nathan shrugs and looks a little confused.  "...honestly, I have no idea.  I was going to see if there's maybe any texts in the Library that might have what kind of species she is documented.  There's certainly enough different kinds of media in there for that to be a possibility..."

He frowns.

"...but before I do that and a few other things, I think it's about time we discussed the current situation a little bit as a group.  Let's go find Valder and Ventus.  We need to figure out how to keep the Scimitars from getting in here and go over some new details that have surfaced concerning outstanding issues..."

Delphox, with the personality change that comes with evolution, is now willing to TOLERATE Ventus' presence. He seems to bear some new secret knowledge allowing him to move on from the destruction of his home (which Ventus has shoved back to the deepest recesses of his mind).

Halfway, she stops and gives Nathan a deadpan look. Just a moment ago things were so good, and with that comment he made it to accidently ruin things again.... "NO. I'm not done yet with exploring, and I doubt the Scimitars can come in here like nothing, and I've already told you to please not order me around like that, Nathan. If you people need to discuss that now, do that WITHOUT me, or wait until I've had my alone time with all the books."

(That, and Windos isn't even there to participate in discussing, which he should definitely.)

Nathan looks both frustrated and a little hurt.  Shiva didn't have to snap at him like that to get her point across.

"...apologies, Heart, but it looks like story time will have to wait a little bit."

Nathan and his pokemon then quickly head inside the Library to go about their own business.

...well, here's Part 2 of Nathan's stuff to do in the Library, I suppose.

1. Healing Charmeleon and Juliet back to full HP, obviously. Juliet gets to hang with Kirlia for a little while since there's some downtime

2. Seeing if there's any books in the Library with information on this 'Masking' that Heart mentioned, and if it really is a Ghost type...also curious to see if Nathan can find any information on that flightless Tropius.

3. Teaching Charmeleon the Rock Smash HM as thanks for all the trust and hard work!  Nathan stresses that it's important for Charmeleon to not use the move unless he gives him the go ahead since there's many League enforced rules in place concerning its usage.  Fortunately, usage in Gym Battles is okay, and it could give Charmeleon an edge he otherwise wouldn't have.  Hope he's looking forward to battling Tanuki with a powerful Fighting type move in his arsenal!

4. Finding Valder.  Partially to tell him about Celebi's gift (he makes sure Ventus isn't within earshot), partially to see if Valder needs any more help with the books here.  And also to inquire with him about that other Eviolite Ventus mentioned that Valder had...(would that second Eviolite be something you'd be willing to part with, @Nylon?)

5. Has Solosis woken up by this point?

Exploring Atheneum, Part 2

*insert the trade-evolution with Valder here* If Helios likes, he can stay out as well and get used to being a mighty and super-smart Alakazam. He deserves some free time after being at Bill's PC for long.

Huuuuh, that's certainly an improvement. Actually, QUITE an improvement, but Shiva's not sure if that tolerance will be mutual, especially since Delphox is a Pokemon that practically screams 'MAGIC!!!', but guess it'll show sooner or later. She herself has still not much of an idea why her fox even started hating Ven's guts in the first place suddenly, all she knows that something occured after Ventus opted to remain in the area around Fennekin's den after Shiva was so smart foolish to show him that place.


First place of interest: The TM Library, once again.

"Alright, dear one..." *curious rummaging through the shelf* "A said, I'm somehow sorry that I sof-pressured you into evolving, but there's one reason for that.... I just need to find it again." *more rummaging before a knowing smile forms on Shiva's expression* "Ah, there it is!"

Using Shiva's last free slot of using the TM Library, Delphox learns Dazzling Gleam, which is a TM since Gen.6. A great move for him, and a useful one for me - beware, dragons and dark types, as the fox will flash you.


Technical Manuals

Delphox can get to practice blinding foes with his everburning basswood stick right away (doesn't count as a Training Session), as Shiva gets comfy with a booklike manual in one of the cozy hammocks again. It details how plushies are handcrafted with and out of Pokemon-parts by a famous brand, Shiva practically soaks up every sentence. A bonus chapter details how this is related to the crafting of Pokeballs out of Apricorns and how the very same skills are needed in both tasks.

Shiva gains her 4th point in Crafts Speciality for free. As agreed with GM, she is now able to make Balls out of Apricorns herself! On the way back to the surface she'll mine for some Meteoric Superconductor needed for this work. (Can happen automatically if the journey back will not be outplayed.)


Tome of Genealogy

Big question, Iron: Can a Pokemon's Loyalty be maxed out by Awakening the Blood? Because Shiva's definitely related to a Swamp Hoodoo in some way, and Delphox and Gothitelle are already at 4 Loyalty. Guess that explains why she seems to be able to work well with Psychic Types. From which of her parents the line can be traced is actually indifferent, but given that in Arrowroot Village the oldest 'Daycares' of Chreshire are located, Xanthodes' (her father's) side would make more sense.


Additionally:

Shiva will search the whole Library for the Egg Celebi has mentioned, if needed with Azumarill's Helping Hand and Delphox's Lucky Chant to increase her chances. If she cannot find it at all, she'll have to ask Slaking where it is, but this will likely consume the One Question to them? (If not, I have found a way more interesting thing to ask him.)

Once she has found the Egg, she does as sweet Celebi has asked her to: Clean it of any rubble, dust and dirt, and polish and cuddle it a little before she turns it around for new century-long rest in a different position. Lolz, none would probably believe Shiva if she'd share that she found what is handled as the Holy Grail among Professional Breeders without having searched for it directly. Can her Egg-Checker also confirm that it contains a Celebi or will it display only an error message?
