So, fun fact: discounting Legendaries and Sketch/Mimic shenanigans, the only non-water types that can learn Dive are the Dratini line, Beartic, and Dragalge (who evolves from a water type).

When including Legends, I think the ones that stick out the most are Mewtwo, Lati@s, Rayquaza, and Arceus since they're not pokemon that you typically see swimming deep underwater...(Lugia, Manaphy, and Phione are to be expected, obviously. And Mew has its gimmick, of course.)

...and funnily enough, most of the Legends are easily the ones who make the least sense when it comes to using Dive. Weird.

Yes, speaking the password "Mystic Water" will unlock the chains locking the book to the shelf. But the book is also padlocked closed with a lock that needs a key.

Guess Ven and Valder are going to spend part of the new day searching Antheneum for that key, then! Unless the merc has other plans, of course. If the key isn't found, could Ven conceivably pick the lock with Lucifer's help, or is it magical in some way that prevents it from being tampered/destroyed?

It doesn't look very magical. It seems more of a "Do you REALLY want to open this book??" kind of lock.


Delibird has normal stats for a newborn Pokemon, and considers Shiva its mother.

Well, since the book is important to Valder for some reason and Ven trusts them enough that opening it is not automatically a bad/adverse idea, I guess Ven can just have Turiel nibble the lock of the book if the key can't be found (Which is what Ven will be doing if Slaking can't find the key for them and he can't find the key himself). However, that's only if Valder/Nylon actually want to open and use the book themselves rather than just possess it, as otherwise my character is perfectly fine with the tome STAYING intact and untouched.

I've actually been quite curious as to WHAT reason/purpose Valder/Nylon want the Cro cro in the first place, but if they want to keep that to themselves like they have been doing that is fine with me too.

……..If I had known their would be a literal horde of Scimitars coming down here, I would have had Ventus refuse to go on the quest to begin with unless they were accompanied by sufficient numbers/powerful things to ward them off. Me no likely this scenario at ALL, to be blunt, but it is what it is, so I guess we all have to ride it out the best we can...….

I/Nathan been having all those conversations and such with Valder for a reason, ya know.  I think Nathan is technically the one who's put in the most effort on that front.  I wouldn't say the entire group has been ignoring him the entire time...

I already prepare myself for the worst scenario. Teaching Gustav, Rose and Viktor some moves for survive/Buff. I dont want to figh those Scimitars at all, but its best be prepared and buff in case they came.

Unfortunately, I don't think there was any way to really anticipate this scenario.

In any case, yeah, not much choice but to ride it out unless we can think of a really good backup plan in the event that they solve four riddles...

Since you also have not been forthcoming with the content of those conversations and inform the rest of us OOC/IC, how does this have a bearing on things NOW of all times? 

Plus, since Nylon is mostly inactive/non participatory in the game thread/forums, at least myself simply didn't want to enter in a protracted and stalled chat with them, like what happened when our characters first interacted with them as they joined the party. Its kinda hard NOT to treat him like a non-entity when he barely participates and interacts with the other group members in the first place AND that we have to plan around that fact (no offense to Nylon, no matter how much it sounds like it....). Just because you/Nathan put in that effort doesn't mean you get to lord it over me/us, though, so please don't.

So we were screw at the outset, and there was nothing we could have done about it save nothing at all/not go on the quest. That's not what I call a pleasant discovery at ALL. Bleh...…… I hate not having any hardly any options to a dire problem that aren't hopeless, cowardous, insanely risky, or foolish beyond belief.....
