It's partially because I haven't done Nathan's lecture on the topic yet, partially because Nathan has...concerns.  There's no problems with actually teaching the move, but Nathan isn't going to let everyone use the HM for whatever yet.

It's partially because I haven't done Nathan's lecture on the topic yet, partially because Nathan has...concerns.  There's no problems with actually teaching the move, but Nathan isn't going to let everyone use the HM for whatever yet.

What kind of concerns? Cmon Dragonstrike, even you have say Rock Smash its not even the strongerst Hidden Machine. What kind of danger would happens? You are thinking we might create some kind of army of Rock Smash Users and take cover the world?

Like someone who shouldn't know we have a Rock Smash HM learning we have a Rock Smash HM.

It might not be the strongest HM, but it's still an HM.  Stronger than an average move with no drawbacks and an awesome use in the field.  And highly coveted by everyone.

That is indeed a party reward, so anyone should be able to put it on their team members if they ask, Dragonstrike.

Making a party decision on when to use it is a good idea, though. For example it may not be wise to put it on Pokemon that will be traded.

Which is what I'm trying to set up.  I'd like to get through the Genesect talk first before I start focusing on typing out the HM lecture, though.

Btw, that book says the fossil is 300 meters deep, and 11 clicks away from the landmark. Two different units of measure. 193 miles deep is twenty times deeper than the deepest part of the ocean.

Considering I plan on having Ven increasing the value of Lavitar/Marowak and steathly trading them away on the black market incognito and under the table so nobody in or out the group the wiser to the HM's true location, I rather not put that restriction in place. If the other party members don't want to do that, that's fine, but I don't want to be prevented from doing it outright.

I've already decided that I will not give Rock Smash to that Marowak of mine that will be traded, but it's a personal decision of mine. It's enough if Shiva will breed Eevees with the Rock Smash Gene for a scholarship, and I can obtain the additional 1500$ that come from a Marowak with that move elsewhere without feeling bad!
