[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

So, you also plan to evolve it further into that metallic super-computer of a Pokemon that Metagross is? I heard it needs to...develop two more brains to be even ready to evolve, a process that surely takes loooong. Maybe something like....solving crossword puzzles or mathematical algorithms might help it?? Or connecting it to an actual computer?"

"I might try that in my travel to Star City. The library probably have something to help I hope."

"...they're okay too?  That's...great.  I was...worried...there were a lot of Scimitars...around 50 of them..."

Nathan pauses.

"...I'm sorry, Carbink...I was stressed, and worried, and pressured, and...a whole lot of other things...I could have handled that a little...a lot...better than I did...are you...able to forgive my folly?"

Carbink lifts the gray rocklike portion of its body right up to its eyes, the Carbink version of a shrug. It seems like it was just doing its job and doesn't bear you any ill will.

When you mention the Scimitars, it does glare around the room. Clearly, it did encounter them, but survived.

Aww, the library of precious Stair City's extensions.... a fine place, she nods in agreement of the thought of that place probably having some information. "If not there, the main library of Telperion in Botanville might have. I'm desperately hoping non- or not-yet students are allowed to browse there...."

"But, how do you want to get to Stair City? All through the mountain might take too long. I can....well, loan you Helios for teleporting, but I'm not sure if he'd listen to anyone apart from me concerning this now that he's an Alakazam. And I'll....need him once for a day or so to get to...Corsage Port." ... "Ven has traded for a Natu however, or maybe you can try finding your own near the....R-Ruins...*the simply thought of these is giving her a shiver*... I guess I also saw one along the way, somewhere near the weird Tall Grass."

"...that still doesn't mean I should have said what I did...if you're putting it behind you, though, I suppose I can too..."

Nathan quietly sighs.

"Don't worry about the Scimitars coming back through here.  They failed to gain entry to Atheneum.  And they're not ever going to have another chance to get in.  We made sure of that."

Alright, time for some questions.

"...soooo...if the Geodude aren't here any more...is there a particular reason you are?  I mean, I was kinda expecting you to still be here, but...I'm kinda surprised that you're here by yourself, to be honest..."

Carbink has no way to answer that with gestures.

"...well, I guess I can rephrase the question...were you waiting for something?"

"Well in that case my only option will have to find a teleport Pokemon myself. Relax, it's just the upper layer of the Skull Ruins. It's not like I going to fully enter that place. Besides, what other choice I have? I need to return Star City to recover the money I use to buy Pokeballs and medic items. And Cress City isn't exactly the best place to get money. Be a trainer it's complicated sometimes."

Shiva sighs. Hearty even, just when she didn't wanted to think of these Ruins... My, they're really omnipresent, or so it feels. "Well, good luck on your search then! But... I actually don't think Cress City might be a bad place to earn cash. Well, you can't earn some via battling with others, but there are certainly jobs if one asks around in town. Even if it'd be just making beds in one of the Bed&Breakfasts. But, whatever you feel suits you more...." She mildly shrugs. "We collected so many loot though that can be turned into cash, like these crystals and gems when we fought off the undead Sableye... Or now the farewell noble Slaking gave us. Do you plan to buy something super-expensive if you need even more cash?"

Nod. (also I thought of a way, sorta.) Carbink frowns fiercely and THWUMPS to the ground. She smiles and floats back up to her spot.

"...ah.  Still on the lookout, I see.  Well, I suppose if the Sentry Fern still has need of you here, then I guess I don't really have much else to say...I mean, if you being here isn't particularly crucial and the Sentry Fern finds it acceptable, you could come along with me if you wanted and fight back against those Scimitars...unfortunately, this wasn't the last our group was going to see of them...every strong ally we could gather would be helpful...though I understand if you're more needed here...I can't guarantee they won't try to search these caves again, but I can guarantee our group will be seeing more of them in the future..."
