Knew you were going to Calm Mind and Draining Kiss spam me Dragonstrike, so I left you with a little present in the form of Toxic! Now, time to reveal the last Pokémon I've been ominiously hinting at....

And to think I actually managed to make something of Draining Kiss's low power after losing STAB on it Tongue

Unfortunately, that's not going to be a very common occurrence.  The move's just a bit too weak as is for it to be worth much on a well trained Gallade unless I can set it up enough to hit a Dragon (or anything with a quadruple weakness to Fairy) decently hard with the Fairy damage :/

Hmmm...well, this is definitely super lopsided.  Even if I could use Hypnosis, Marvel Scale would make it really hard to do anything more than chip damage to that Milotic if they have that Ability.  Can't risk trying to lower stats either because they might also have Competitive...

Guess it's up to RNG at this point. :/ And hoping that Milotic doesn't use Recover (a 12 D6 heal pool...that's absolutely disgusting, yo).

He doesn't have Recover, so don't worry about THAT mate!

If RNG screws me or favors you THAT much, I'm probably going to have to take a LONG break from the campaign.

If I allowed Hypnosis, I would have permitted Status Healing Items and the 1 time use of a Healing Item on a Pokémon, and Terra is stacked with Awakenings + would have set Electric Terrain to prevent Sleep shenanigans entirey AND has a Max Potion, which would have been saved for Lovely if they got seriously wailed on due to bad dice luck.

Yeap, I came totally prepared to cover Terra's weakness, and saved Lovely (Who is a BOY) for last just in case Dice Luck decided to be a bastard, which it was sorta. I wanted this to be fun, but I also don't want to lose to you AGAIN, so I'm not pulling my punches anymore. Fair warning!

Stranger things have happened.  Mostly in the Celadon Campaign.  Never know!

Ah yes, Electric Terrain.  Even with that or Misty Terrain in effect, though, you're still not entirely safe from Hypnosis and other status inflicting moves  Wink  Provided I still have the move slots to pull off the combo that bypasses those entirely, that is. The only way you're truly safe is if you're outright immune due to an Ability, the Grass type, or Safeguard. Tongue

I think pulling a Milotic on me just for that purpose is a bit much though, don't you think? I stand by my reasoning on how imbalanced the HP scaling is for the huge/incredibly long pokemon.

True, but Imma still going to have to leave and cool down for awhile if they DO happen.

How so? I thought....oh. Telekinesis and then your Status inflicting move of choice, right? Yeah, that would work. Still have PLENTY of Awakenings and other Status Healing Items, though, so I'm covered from that combo!

Oh, I totally agree, but considering that when I started to hold back even a little and make deliberately poor Move choices for my Pokémon you started to pound me HARD, I don't feel THAT bad about it. I personally love the HP scaling system, as they end up creating plenty of easy but still doable Boss Pokémon to use in games (Unlike Legendaries or Plot Device fueled Pokémon), and its just nice having one as a safety net.

That, and given as we've seen from Iron, having High HP doesn't mean you are invincible by any means. Not by a loooong shot.

Yup.  Telekinesis means you're in the air, and not touching the ground, and thus unaffected by the Terrains. Tongue Pretty dastardly combo, if I do say so myself (and something I had to think carefully about because Gallade could be picking up Misty Terrain and Wish later on).  Particularly since you can't miss, and your target is going to find it really hard to Evade at GM's discretion because they're being forcefully levitated.  Also means they're immune to Ground moves, but it's a small price to pay, really.  Or a potential benefit if you don't mind leaving yourself open to literally everything else, depending on the situation.

Hmmm...considering I'm still struggling a little despite fighting tooth and nail against someone deliberately holding back, I think that says a lot.

'Doable' depends on how you handle them (I was NOT very well equipped to handle a Milotic this time around.  Probably should have waited before using Snivy...).  And in our system, if they're wild or trainer owned makes a huge difference.  A Trainer owned Snake pokemon is tons more dangerous than a simple wild one, and can be much more difficult to cripple with statuses overall.

Legendaries and Plot Deviced battles depend on how the story teller wants to handle them more than anything else.  What I think is going to be most interesting is how the Champion Battle is handled...because the book says that's the one Trainer Battle that's entirely Plot Deviced, just like Legendaries.  The Elite Four, according to the book, just ignore Attribute limits.  The Champion just outright ignores the rules entirely, and the book even states that your character and pokemon probably aren't even considered 'normal' by that point.

Wohoo! I did! I have buy another great to my collection of Steam games! Middle Earth: Shadow of War. I was excited to buy that game for a long time and finally get promotion on the steam to buy it. Now I need to wait for the instalation. But dont worry, I not going to disapear when I begin to play Skyrim. It will take 14 hours to finish the instalation (I just hope my PC can deal with the instalation and have enough memory...)

Which game needs 14 hours to be installed? o.o Eh, but anyway, have fun playing and don't forget progressing your day here, k? There's one Rythm RPG that I've been after way too long, I'll probably just buy it now during summer sale.
