[Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel
(Arial also got $3000 Poke and 3 Super Potions from the Satchel, so don't forget about that too Spirit!)

Thirty minutes later, the party reunites a few meter in front of the entrance, the corpse of all the Ratatta/Raticate making the surrounding all the more macrebe. Reiner looked partially distracted by something as he awaited everyone else, while Lindworm 'appeared' perfectly fine (hard to tell exactly how much due to the whole Suit) if a little more battered, holding two items in his hands: A Pistol and a Key Card of some sort. Nice!

No Additional Micro Encounters At This Time, so only The Entrance and The Berry Fields remain as choices. Reiner has Reserved the Berry Field for himself and can have an one additional ally with him to finish the job, so someone has to go investigate The Entrance.

"Well, either you or Arial should take that Key Card and check out the Entrance.  Might be easier to get in with that.  I'm gonna go check out those Berry Fields.  I've caught wind that something's lurking around them, though.  Some help dealing with whatever it is would be appreciated.  Doesn't particularly matter who helps."

So, what does Arial want to do, @Spiritmon? Help Reiner fight whatever's in the Berry Fields, or try to open the Enttrance?

(Its in the Character sheet now. Sweet!)

Arial nod his head. "I go to the entrance. You and Lindworm go ahead."

Lindworm hands over the Key Card LV 1 to you, giving you a nod and a quiet "Be safe, Arial,", before joining up with Reiner to go investigate/scour the Berry Fields of Nuclear menaces. Time to divide and conquer!

---

As Arial heads towards the Entrance of the NRF, he nears towards the Fountain as well. Naturally and insatiably curious as the madman was, he decided it wouldn't hurt to take a peek in the water basin first for any goodie to snatch, or for any badies to bash! He was feeling pretty confidant after taking care of that Wrathful Gengar, and with his brother and God Mechabolta by his side, he felt that he could take any aquatic Nuclear Pokémon that would happen to pop out of the water works!

*Rolls...*

...and so one does, forcing the back as they leap up from the basin and land right in front of you, revealing the threat to be....

...A Nuclear Magikarp, weakly Splashing around in front of you and your metallic fighters.

Well, that is underwhelming. How are you going to handle it, mate?

---

Reiner and Lindworm make their way towards the Berry Fields, but just before they got halfway their the excommunicated acolyte stops their partner and motions for them to crouch low with, then pointed at the now more visible fields.

...and discover just why Giegeroach and his collective waited you to clear the Berries Fields: They were being occupied and patrol by two packs of Nuclear Growltihe…

Alert Roll (Lindworm and Reiner) : INS (3) + Survival (3) + Alert (3) + Double Sighters (2) = 11D6 Dice
(1)(6)(1)(6)(6)(5)(2)(6)(5)(5)(2) 6 Successes!

...and are able to get a pretty accurate assessment of their numbers/composition, as well as what useful Berries (AKA: Held Item Berries, not Food/Pokeblock/Medicine Powder Fodder) lie in the main two fields.

Each pack of Nuclear Growlithe is compose of 6 individuals, and lead by a Nuclear Arcanine. They have a pattern in their guarding/patrolling patterns: one pack stays put at one of the berry fields, while the other makes a looping patrol around the perimeter of the two fields before returning to the guarding pack, switches roles with them, and goes off to guard the other berry field. For a pack of  berserk/near mindless Corrupted Nucmons, these ones are surprisingly coordinated. In Berry Field 1, their are 3 Sitrus  and 3 Halfi Plants, and in Berry Field 2 their are 2 Riskuo and Leppa Berries. Of course, all those Berries are forfeit to Giegeroach and friends as part of your deal (and they would DEFINATELY notice and not like it if you tried to be sneaky and take ANY of those Held Berries), so its not like that intel matters.

The two surmise that if you time your assault right, both could either Ambush the Guard and get time to take care of them before the calvery comes, each of them taking on a pack individually, or eschew tactics alotogether and just march up and bash some heads in, taking your chances of catching one or another pack alone rather than deal with the risks of an Ambush or splitting up.

What will it be?

Arial nod his head to Lindworm and grin. "Dont worry about me my friend. Have fun in that berry hunt. Dont let Nuclear beedrills sting you! The poison its already lethal in their normal forms. Now Nuclear...well thats another level of pain!"

When Arial see the Magikarp, he simple facepalm himself of exasperation. "Really? A Nuclear Magikarp?" Arial decided not to play wrong with the poor thing. He didnt ask to be born. "I guess this no problem in letting you go. Raise a Magikarp looks like something interesting since Gyarados its a powerfull pokemon. Even more a Nuclear one." Arial simple grab the Nuclear Magikarp and let go to the water puddle. "Just go now okay? I already have a Nuclear pokemon and a Water Pokemon. Find some water place out of this place and become a might Gyarados. Dont give up on your dreams."

With that said Arial wait in the entrance, for Reiner and Lindworm to return. He of course have his keen insticts in high levels to any sort of danger around Nuclear ambush. Just in case in something to happen, Arial use one of the Iodine tabblets to heal him from the Rads he acumulate in the Nuclear Rodents ambush, healing him from the 15% Rads and giving him 5% of resistance.

Arial Empathy Roll: INS + Emapthy = 3 Dice
(4)(3)(4) Nope.

The Nuclear Magikarp , mindless though it is, still managed to become greatly incensed by (to it) your patronizing words and fish handling, as they Splash around in the basin angrily!

...and then started to glow brightly white, the tell tell signs of Evolution.

Oh shit.

Quick as lightning, you and your Pokémon rapidly back away from the Fountain as the form of the Nuclear Magikarp GREATLY expands and changes in a matter of mere moments, until it had transformed into a Nuclear Gyarados, letting out a load *RRRRROOOOOOAAAAAAWWWWWW!*at YOU that echoes throughout the Courtyard!

Reiner and Lindworm could not only clearly hear this, but recognize what the source of the call due to their individual experience with the 'draconic' Pokémon! Neither of them can reach the madman in time, however, but it seemed like the pack of nuclear firepower doggies were mostly unperturbed by the loud noise. Lots of stuff must go down on a daily basis if they could casually ignore it!

Surprise Encounter! + 1 Dice to all of Gyarados' Actions/Rolls!

Initiatives:

Nuclear Gyarados: DEX (2) + Survival (3) + 1 + (4) = 10
Melchior: 6 + 1 + (2) = 9
Zeus: 6 + 1 + (3) = 10

Zeus goes first due to haver higher DEX, then Nuclear Gyarados, then Melchoir.

"...well, I certainly don't fancy attempting to fight both groups at the same time.  Don't really think we should split up, though..."

Hmmm...

"If we engage the patrolling group at the berry field opposite the one being guarded, we might be able to take them on without immediately alerting the other group. Clear out the Growlithe first, and the Arcanine will be at a numbers disadvantage.  I think going head on against one group and hoping for the best might be our best bet."

Reiner does have one change to make before engaging these Arcanine.  Namely, swapping Kingdra's SDF for the Divine Water, which also triggers Swift Swim!  That'll be far more useful in this instance.

Reiner has Kingdra and Yang ready for this assault on one of the groups, with Mew in the background just in case.

[I was moreso talking in the context of each individual group, not all of them together.  'Course, that's banking on taking out one group before the other notices what's going on...]
