Agreed! This reminds me of the time Togepi pulled out a FIRE BLAST and ended up using it on Glaceon, for how clutch it was! Guess the Dice decided to be more merciful, mate!

Match is pretty even, though, given that both Nathan and Tanuki are down to your last Pokémon (Well, Orthros is still up, but not for much longer I imagine). Let's see how things will end after THAT!

This is way closer than I thought it would be due to Noctowl's Hypnosis hitting despite having almost double its accuracy dice for the Evasion and those Extrasensories doing horrendous damage at first.

Woulda been nice if Zigzagoon had gotten a (1) for its initiative since Orthros could have outsped that (or even just a (3) or less would have been nice since Gallade could have outsped that without Steadfast), but ah well...

Down to who misses attacks and/or does less/more than average damage at this point, no matter what the initiatives are! Bring it on!

If you can excuse me for asking, why ban them?  Self Destruct isn't Lethal, and Explosion only did a small amount of accidental Lethal damage because of the Confusion.

Not because of possible lethal damage, but because it borders to making the/a match unenjoyable and it's outright POWERFUL when being used with a high enough Strength Score.

Even with a low Strength, the moves are ridiculously powerful.  It's a legit tactic, too.  Particularly when you have Sturdy to truly take advantage of its niche as a last ditch effort.

Facade, Flail, Self Destruct, Explosion, Last Resort, Trump Card...a lot of Normal moves are ludicrously strong in the right conditions.

No, when I caught that Pineco with Self Destruct and Sturdy before it could hit the ground and explode on our way to Arrowroot Village, I asked Iron about it and he told that the Pokemon would faint anyway despite Sturdy if using a move that makes it faint, with an expensive XP Suprise this could be changed.

Legit tactic - that's true, but Explosion and Self Destruct just feel vastly different and more dangerous/impactful in their effect than Trump Card/Flail/Facade etc., I can't really explain properly in words why. It's more shocking, it heavily affects the surrounding area to explode on the spot, it's nasty to see when you're sensitive like Shiva is... Flashbacks of Plusle being horribly wounded by a Weezing maybe? I don't wish to argue or having to justify myself further anymore, I'm just kindly asking to not use Self Destruct or Explosion in a match against my chara from now on.

I know how Sturdy works, Phantom.  Hence why I said 'last ditch effort'.  The idea is ya wait until Sturdy triggers, and then you explode.  Or you explode just before Sturdy triggers if your opponent has priority/is faster.
