If I find any rare pokemon, I enter in contact with you. Its kinda my thing. But...I may avoid go to Mt. Sentry. Because of certain events. First of all, in that place there is some group lurking around there: The Scimitars. A group of evil criminals who use science and a little magic to evil ways. They have some sort of gautlets who give them special powers. Really dangerous. You could say they are some sort of magicians, capable of using powers without the need of use pokemons."

"Thats doesnt mean they not use on their own. They use brainwashed Solosis to spy Mt. Sentry, and use slave Reuniclus to fight us. My friends and I we were able to fight, even outnumber. They are dangerous and cruel. They slave innocent pokemon, break their will until they become killing machines without emotions. Its pretty easy to identify one: They use some sort robes and hood. And they have metal gloves. If you find one of those Scimitars, dont even try. Run and find help. They will problably kill you and use your pokemons as experiment. Even for us trainers, there are times to run and there times to fight. Tell everyone about that danger. And if you have any information about that group, please send me a message."

With that information done, Heart exchange number with Peter the snake. After that Heart have return to the pokemon Center and put Lairon to rest there since he have fainted. He also let Golett, Gustav and Typhon in the pokemon to be threat (since Golett have tank lot of damage, Gustav survive the Poison Fang and Typhon tank and survive a Hyper Beam). "I gonna come back soon okay? Behave you three and rest for a while. You three make a awesome battle and deserve some rest. Dont play with the machines Typhon. They are not for eletric play."

With that say, Heart makes a change on his team. In the place of Percival, Gustav, Typhon and Golett he take the Beldum Egg, Larvesta (to help take care of the egg), Delta Onix and for last Mudkip (its been a while since the little one have been out of the PC). Then Heart makes a walk in the direction of his next destination: The Pokemon Shellter of Stair City. The Beldum Egg was in his bag perfect safe, and Larvesta was in Heart shoulder, sleeping as usual but giving warm to the little egg. Delta Onix was perfect safe on the pokeball. And Mudkip was simple enjoying to play and be out of the pokeball. Heart finally reach the Pokemon Shellter and talk with the director who help take care of Caesar. "Hey there! Good day! Its been a while. How things is around here doc?"

Terra Introductory Battle vs Shiva

Shiranui nods to Terra. Grimly. This will be just like they practiced...hopefully.

He moves another step to fully cover Basteele. And then everything goes nuts.

The grass is shredded to leave scorch marks and bare earth. A deafening roar. Shards of metal going everywhere, most of them into Shiranui. Forretress shrunken in on itself, its eyes no longer visible, and big craters in its shell.

Forretress faints, and in its confusion (Insight -2 = 0) it deals 1 Lethal damage to itself. It's still smoking.

Shiranui's rubbery body absorbs most of the blast, causing the remnant to be nonlethal and relatively safe. He's designed for this kind of thing. But as Shiranui faints and rolls over, Terra sees a big chunk of metal sticking from Shiranui's belly. Shiranui takes 1 point of lethal damage.

The trainers are fine, I'm sure Terra wouldn't order the attack until all humans are at a safe distance away.

(For Terra's information, there's no risk of accidentally going Lethal unless the Pokemon is confused or other very unusual circumstances are in play).

Azumarill stands alone on the battlefield, looking deafened.

In mere moment, Terra had already recalled both Pokémon, his whole being serious, alarmed, and more than a little anxious as grimaced at both his partner's balls. He knew fully well how dangerous an Explosion from his armed arthropod was -he of all people would be the least like to underestimate its sheer destructive power - but even with that he was still caught off guard by the Lethal result it had on his Pokémon. Thank heavens he drilled all his Pokémon (Sans Mikey) and himself on how to dampen/handle the blast of the Move, should Basteele somehow fail to restrain its full, devastating might....

'....Note to self: Don't order Basteele to use Explosion when she is Confused. …What do I do now....?'

Several long moments passed as he gravely stared at his Pokeballs, eyebrows tightly scrunched together as he pondered just what he want to do about this unexpected development. ...He then quietly shook his head to himself and put them away, before pulling off Genie's Dusk Ball + Mikey's Pokeball's from his belt, and turned to regard Shiva with worry, seriousness, yet on the whole...calm. 

"....I have chosen my next Pokémon, and are ready to continue our battle. ...Are you too, Shiva?"

While one might assume that he was callious disregarding his Lethally wound Pokémon to continue his match, that wasn't the case. In reality, he only choose to resume after intensely debating with himself whether or not forfeiting the match to immediately treat his Pokémon was worth making all his partner's hard earned efforts in vain. That, and whether or not it was fair to the heartfelt woman to adjourn his match over an freak misplay on his part.


In the end, he decided to resume the battle, and the immediately rush off to the Pokémon Center to get Shiranui and Basteele treated. It would be several hours before their lives would be threatened by their critical injuries, while the match would only take a few minutes at most, so he felt that staying and finishing what was started was for the best. However, if Shiva didn't want to fight him anymore, he'd be more than willing to stop. Wouldn't hold it against her to, as the aftermath of that Explosion...it nearly made him lost his nerve. 


That, and he could leave for the Center all the quicker, so either option was a 'win' to him, for what its worth...

(I'd guess my theme would stop immediately in the moment the Explosion goes off, and only resume to play at a much lower volume when the battle resumes.)


Well, to be frank and blunt, it all happened way too fast for Shiva to have any chance to anticipate, predict or even prepare for it, she only made it to curse in silent as that panting Hariyama chipped in to save their battle partner from being defeated by her grassy sauropode and fae rabbit. There was no time either to shout to Azu to use her Fairy-STAB instead of Bubble Beam after it became clear that the Fighting Type was providing cover for Basteele, damnit.

The plus side of providing that cover for the steely bug - the LETHALITY of Explosion which Shiva was well aware of, was heavily eased, for the stars's and noble Reshiram's sake; thankfully it was. Seeing her dear Pokemon or, mind you, she suffering lethal damage by those in a fight with a group member would be something that she would not forget for a prolonged time, silently hold against that member, expect a making-up and probably outright refuse to ever join a battle against them again if the Pokemon who dealt the nasty wounds isn't securely packed away into a Box of Bill's PC.


Tropius, having a hard time to keep himself up in the air due to pain and scratches anyway, let out an unpleased roar at Shiranui as he intercepted and took his gust of wind, and Azu followed his example as she too failed to do sweet Master's will and force that steely bug out of this match. She casts an apologizing gaze over to Shiva which she returned in calm, but one moment later that blast of an explosion washed over the area, unbalancing her further as she had to a few steps back to recall Tropius into the safety of his Ball right from the air before he'd hit the ground. She herself doesn't take any damage luckily, but is knocked over to a sitting position from the sheer impact of the move.

Azumarill, being aside from Terra the other one who was still standing, made a U-Turn over to her Master as if she silently called the blue fae rabbit, and presumed to chirp at her in a comforting tone when the first toneless sob came. Master wasn't crying though from the looks of it but 'only' had to take off glasses and rub her wet eyes with an arm, causing Azu to console her harder via placing a summoned red rose behind her ear and pulling of a 50$-coin from there in the same movement to hand it to her with a sadness in her face.

It's not enough to cause Shiva trauma in the means of Nidoking-Incident or being caught in the world of DeltaHoundour, but it doesn't help her at all in learning to accept fainting of known and liked Pokemon. More like the opposite, the SHOCKING sight of the aftermath of that Explosion is something that she won't be able to forget for a while. My, Terra, you somewhat messed up here, I'm sorry for that. :C

These words reach her a little deafed and weak, but the DID make their way to her at last and she responds with another light sob at first while her eyes are still covered with an arm before shaking her head to herself.

Azu hands her her glasses back with a questioning gaze, which she puts back on again, but when facing Terra then, her eyes look away. "I'm okay..... I'm sorry..... I don't want to forfeit..... Just......."

Her expression darkens a lot, becomes pained. "......Just don't do that......again.....ever....."

Focus, and...

...SMAAAASH!!  That Rock Smash going straight through Zigzagoon's fur was quite a sight to see!  Gallade takes a deeeeep breath after giving that Zigzagoon an impromptu haircut and scraping against that Rocky Helmet...he's still not entirely comfortable with the move yet, but he'll get used to it given a little time.  He dusts off his blade, as he'd like to keep it as clean as possible, and that Zigzagoon is...messy.

...his blade clean, he turns his attention back to that extra quick Zigzagoon...and turns them around mentally, too!  Can't easily evade when you're facing an opponent who can read your mind to predict your every move!

Nathan gratefully and respectfully accepts the rewards for winning this difficult battle from the carrier Zigzag pokemon.  "Wow, you weren't kidding when you said you were gonna give us a nice item for winning.  This is very, very useful."  Nathan hands it to Gallade...who respectfully declines for now so Orthros can use it first.  Gallade are masters of courtesy as well as swordsmanship, after all.  Nathan shrugs and hands the item to his doggy, who happily munches away at the Leftovers while the conversation is going on. Om nom nom.

Nathan chuckles at Tanuki's eagerness to learn about how he got Rock Smash.  "Well, I'll tell you a little bit...but I think you're also forgetting about another one of my rewards for winning the battle."  That being the Gym Badge!  Very important that that isn't forgotten about, right?

It's not enough to cause Shiva trauma in the means of Nidoking-Incident or being caught in the world of DeltaHoundour, but it doesn't help her at all in learning to accept fainting of known and liked Pokemon. More like the opposite, the SHOCKING sight of the aftermath of that Explosion is something that she won't be able to forget for a while. My, Terra, you somewhat messed up here, I'm sorry for that. :C

These words reach her a little deafed and weak, but the DID make their way to her at last and she responds with another light sob at first while her eyes are still covered with an arm before shaking her head to herself.

Azu hands her her glasses back with a questioning gaze, which she puts back on again, but when facing Terra then, her eyes look away. "I'm okay..... I'm sorry..... I don't want to forfeit..... Just......."

Her expression darkens a lot, becomes pained. "......Just don't do that......again.....ever....."

".....Please."

"...…...I can not promise you that, Shiva." 

Terra calmly intoned those seven words to the heartfelt woman, his expression regretful, solemn....yet utterly resolute.


"Explosion....its is scary, and it is dangerous.....but it is useful too. Many times, it has helped me win battles that were going to be lost, and it has saved me and my other Pokémon from very bad trouble as a....last resort. ….It is also the Move the helped Basteele Evolve, so it holds a special place in both our hearts and minds." 

The rugged wander looked reminiscent as he said this, his eye thoughtful as he gazed back to the past, before he shook his head, returning to reality and continuing.

"....We've trained to use Explosion right and safely for years....but sometimes there are.....accidents. …Like right now. ….But they will not stop me or her from using the Move.  It has its purposes, and I will not refuse them for me or her."


...He looked away from her by this point, now appearing ashamed and uncomfortable.


"…Sorry, but that is my choice. Accept it...or do not. I will understand and accept your choice, no matter what."

With that said, he sends out his next two Pokémon out: Michael the Breloom and Genie the Flygon. I'll leave their reaction until later.

Nathan gets 32 XP for his Pokemon and half for himself. The payout is $4000. Another Zigzagoon comes to deliver the money, and another delivers a drink, and finally one comes to deliver a feedbag of rice and scraps of food that never runs out - a rare Leftovers!

"It takes a lot of discarded food eaten by certain powerful Pokemon and all bundled together in a special way to make just one usable Leftovers! It's the specialty of my Zigzagoon, but I knew you might have a Gallade so I used the Rocky Helmet today. My most well-trained Zigzagoon has the rare ability to hold multiple usable items at once, and he's been highly trained in all his fighting abilities. Of course, League rules prevent me from using multiple objects, or from using some of the rarer things I've found in my scavenging."

"Please, please, tell me all about how you found Rock Smash! Did you wind up with a copy of it? Are you keeping it a secret?"

Focus, and...

...SMAAAASH!!  That Rock Smash going straight through Zigzagoon's fur was quite a sight to see!  Gallade takes a deeeeep breath after giving that Zigzagoon an impromptu haircut and scraping against that Rocky Helmet...he's still not entirely comfortable with the move yet, but he'll get used to it given a little time.  He dusts off his blade, as he'd like to keep it as clean as possible, and that Zigzagoon is...messy.

...his blade clean, he turns his attention back to that extra quick Zigzagoon...and turns them around mentally, too!  Can't easily evade when you're facing an opponent who can read your mind to predict your every move!

Inside a Pokemon Gym: Gym Theme - Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/Fire Red/Leaf Green

Nathan gratefully and respectfully accepts the rewards for winning this difficult battle from the carrier Zigzag pokemon.  "Wow, you weren't kidding when you said you were gonna give us a nice item for winning.  This is very, very useful."  Nathan hands it to Gallade...who respectfully declines for now so Orthros can use it first.  Gallade are masters of courtesy as well as swordsmanship, after all.  Nathan shrugs and hands the item to his doggy, who happily munches away at the Leftovers while the conversation is going on.  Om nom nom.

Nathan chuckles at Tanuki's eagerness to learn about how he got Rock Smash.  "Well, I'll tell you a little bit...but I think you're also forgetting about another one of my rewards for winning the battle."  That being the Gym Badge!  Very important that that isn't forgotten about, right?

Tanuki parts Zigzagoon's stripes to reveal the Boulangerite Badge. It's a dull gray in color, but very interesting and complex in form. It has little shelves and needles of gray, a bit like Tanuki's trademark spiky Pokemon. Viewed one way the shelves form a flower; from another angle you can see corals and nests and other interesting structures. And of course it's studded with holographic material.

"The Boulangerite Badge increases a Pokemon's speed and accuracy! It will help you with being striking first, evading when it's wise to do so, and making more attacks in a row!" (+ 0.5 Dex)
