[Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel

You received a only nod from Lindworm, before he back away to a safe distances as you Mostly Restore your Kingdra!

She is....less than pleased at being KOed by Fire types, their treachery, and getting set on fire AGAIN as you could imagine. However, her Lethal wounds prevents the raging dragoness from working herself up to truly live up to her nameshake, and your soothing words/touch manages to get her to settle down to simply being irritated, rather than near murderously ENRAGED.

The Dragon Lord is reluctant at first to forfeit his Leftovers, as it were his regenerative Item , but eventually relented to good reason and handed it over to you/Kingdra (Indirectly) to fully restore her in a few moment. He promptly reclaimed it soon after, as he was not to be part from his life giving treat for any longer than the bare minimum!

"I know, Kingdra, I know.  I'm irked too.  Let's try not to draw any more attention to ourselves than needed, though, alright?  If we attract the attention of another huge pack of those monsters...I'm not sure how well we'd fare, to be honest."  Yeah, Reiner can totally empathize with Kingdra on this, but urging her to try not to cause an unnecessary ruckus both now and later for their own safety is definitely something he wants to stress to Kingdra.  Being quietly irritated about that incredibly bad luck is perfectly fine, though.

Reiner gives Yang a thankful, respectful nod.  "Thank you for sharing the Leftovers with Kingdra.  The less resources we have to spend on healing, the better."  Considering how jealously Yang is guarding the Leftovers, and how he only let go of it to let Reiner treat Lethal Damage with minimal resource expenses...yeah, better not push it.

-------------------------------------------

So, time to report back in to Geigeroach!  I assume the bug shows up again when Reiner arrives.  "Berry Fields are clear and untouched.  No more Nuclear Fire dogs.  They nearly fried my Kingdra, but we cleared 'em out.  The berries are ripe for the taking for your buddies."

Kingdra Neptunian Arendse doesn't do quietly dwelling on her indignation, but you've done a good enough job quelling her wrath and urging her to be cautious that you don't have to worry about her going into an outrage OR Outrage. Whew!

(…)

The radroach leapt down from their perch on the Golden Apple bearing tree as you arrive in the Grove alone (having told Lindworm you had to settle this business alone for safety's shake), looking both anxious and expectant as you approaches. When you told them the good news, they began leaping up/down in and did a little jig of joy, its pupils in their compound eyes flatted and narrowed in pleasure. Then, they turn toward a thicker part of the Grove and let out a series of happy yet authoritative *Bzzzzzzez!* , pointing towards the Berry Fields as they did so.

At first, nothing happened.....but that changed as the everpresent *Buzzz* grew in greater intensity and complexity, until a whole SWARM of Nuclear Beedrill came out of the wood works and flitted off towards the fields, all of them eager to claim the spoils of you hard, dangerous work! Bloody hell, you sure are glad you didn't have to fight them too!

Giegeroach waved them all off with semi fondness and semi melancholy, then they leapt up into the air to snatch the GA from the tree, and turned towards you with it in hand, offer it and themselves to you, as was agreed on. Its a bittersweet farewell to their collective for them, but now with the Berry Fields there's, they can leave them behind knowing their Survival was all but ensured.

Giegeroach has joined Reiner! Golden Apple obtained!

I think this is a female Geigeroach!  Queen of the hive and all that business, right?

"Glad to have ya aboard.  Based on what's been happening, we're definitely going to need your help."

One Nuclear Ball for Geigeroach, coming right up! 9 left!

That Golden Apple definitely looks very useful.  I assume it ignores Potion effectiveness and doesn't affect potion effectiveness itself?  The Iron Thorn is a nice bonus.

"Well, before we meet up with the rest of my group, I've got something for ya, and someone to introduce you to.  First off...here.  I see ya know Light Screen and Reflect and are particularly good at using them.  This item should serve you really well."  Geigeroach gets the Light Clay.

"Second...Mew, could you show yourself for a moment, please?"

Assuming she does so: "Geigeroach, this is Mew, one of my partners.  She'll be staying hidden the majority of the time we're in here, but I want you to be aware that she is present and may need your assistance.  She's been through some rather rough stuff recently, to put it simply and bluntly."

Not reuniting with Arial and Lindworm quite yet.  Want to make sure this rather important introduction is taken care of first.

Oh, and I almost forgot...Mew gains 1 exp after the Nuclear Canine encounter due to her sociopathic/highly analytical traits! She's gonna grow like a weed if and when we timeskip...

Female it is! She's rather surprised upon being captured and released, looking at the Nuclear Ball with a faintly curious, faintly distrustful manner. What in the world....?

The radroach gave a firm nod in agreement to your statement, as she IS quite good with Barrier Moves, and is rather self assured of her skills. When you described and hand over the Light Clay, she looks at the stucko ball with faint curiosity and wonder, before looking back up at you and nodding her head again, before putting the Item away....somewhere.

Mew's Loyalty: (4)(6)(3)(5)
Mew's Disobedience: (4)(4)(4)(2)(6) Nope.

Contrary to your expectations, Mew does NOT decloak and reveal herself to Giegeroach, and seconds later you receive a rather....terse response from her.

'Reiner, you know my preference is to remain concealed from unknowns, and Geigeroach has not yet proven herself to be entirely trustworthy for me to feel comfortable revealing myself. She is a useful addition to the team, but she does not need to know of me to Shield me too with her Moves, for I can hover invisibly behind them. That is my final words on this, Reiner, and its non-negotiable for the time being.'

...Well, you knew something like this would happen sometime or another. Now what?

Arial was bored. Melchior was playing with a ball of wool and Zeus was playing with a few metalic objetics with his magnets. Arial then put out the walkie talkie and say impatience: "Oi! Reiner! Lindworm! Are you still alive? Or have you become a pool of nuclear goo? How was the thing in the Grove guys? Do I need to freak out now or later? Any problem I tell Kyubi your words was "I love you Kyubi."

"Never seen a pokeball before, huh?  Well, that's part of how I'm gonna get ya past the quarantine line."

'And as I recall, Mew, your Reflect Type is about to run out.  So you should probably Transform into either Geigeroach or some variety of Steel type sooner rather than later.  Don't have to meet 'em as yourself if you'd prefer that, but I would like Geigeroach to know you're present and that I'm not just talking to thin air. Nor would I want Geigeroach to freak out if she notices you're stealthily hovering behind her.'

Are the walkies even working right now?

Once you shared THAT piece of news to the irradiated insect, that cleared away any lingering dubious doubts about the capture device, leaving only pure wonder and a keen interest. If that doohickey can see her safely out of here, she's more than okay with it!

Mew's Loyalty Roll: (2)(1)(4)(4) Two Successes
Mew's Disobedience Roll: (6)(4)(1)(6)(3) Three Successes, Nope

No dice with your counter argument (literally!), as she almost immediately started to tear into it, now sounding rather irritable at your persistence.

'....As I have said, this is non-negotiable, Reiner. I know my Reflect Type Protections is about to wear off, but that does not stop you from recalling her, summoning Metagross for me Transform into them, and then for me to take their place. So long as you keep our conversation telepathic and/or private, the Giegeroach will not find out about them, and see will not detect me by sight while I am invisible. I'm only seen when I want to be, and right now I do not want to be seen. If you do not agree with me, I will simply wait in my Great Ball until I can use Reflect Type once more. Understood?"

Walke Talkies: *Rolls*

They still work, and you are able to get Arial's latest message loud and clear! As for his earlier message to Riza, she didn't respond, though you could her hear shuffling about wherever she is.

[Guess ALL of my dice luck went into that battle with Tanuki in Skull Ruins...]

I think Arial's message interrupts things sufficiently, too.

'Bah.  Fine.  It's on you though if Geigeroach turns around and attempts to fry ya with a Gamma Ray in a panic.'

"Well, seems Mew doesn't want to show herself, unfortunately.  Though I can assure you she's present."

A bright red recall beam from a pokeball does a spectacular job of showing that something is there, after all.

"Mew can turn invisible and can be a little...selective with who she shows herself too.  Try not to panic if you sense anyone's behind you and don't immediately see anything, alright?  It'll probably be her taking advantage of your Wide Guards in all likelihood.  She's not naturally immune to radiation, so she has to use some unique moves to be immune to it.  Might not be out all the time, but I'm relying on her nonetheless."

Well then, now that that is out of the way...time to go meet back up with Arial and Lindworm!

...Reiner looks about ready to clock Arial with a well placed slap, by the way.  If they weren't in the incredibly dangerous NRF right now, he probably would!

Oh, and Geigeroach is recalled to her Nuclear Ball, so she's not been revealed to the others quite yet...

Considering that she was currently sharing a mental link with you in order to communicate telepathically, she pretty quickly sussed out what you were going to pull, and simply denied it by invisibly Teleporting inside her Great Ball before you could recall her and reveal her presence indirectly. She then sent you a message that felt both cold as ice, moderate irritated, and strongly disapproving.

'Clever idea....but ultimately it did not succeed, and I will suggest that you do not attempt to subvert me like such again. Because of that, I'm staying in my Great Ball for 1 Hour as opposed to just 30 minutes in order to disincentive such action. I'll come to your aid if its absolutely warranted, but otherwise I will be unavailable until the sufficient time has past. Finally, in regard to Giegeroach, I will say this, and no more: I have been able to handle myself and problems perfectly well for eons before I meet you, Reiner, and I have little doubt that trend will significantly change long after you perish.'

The Great Ball in your hand/bag then made a muffled *Click!* only you could hear as she locked herself in it, and she abruptly cut her connection to you less than a second later.

Ergo, due to that, the radroach has a harder time accepting your explanation (Assuming you told it at all now), remaining/looking skeptical of the existence of a floating invisible Pokémon. Since you've proven yourself both faithful, trustworthy, and extremely competent to her, however, she decides to believe you, calmly nodding her head and making a mental not to account for the see through panther's invisible presence in future conflicts. Better safe than friendly fire, she thinks, least of all on what sounded to be a personal favorite Pokemon of her new associate!

Time Skip!

You find Arial and Lindworm at the fountain, with the former doing whatever he was chooses, while the later standing Alert for any Corrupted Nucmons that were not cowed by the party tearing through the big green radioactive kahunas.
