Gallade slides backwards a little as he takes the brunt of those Psychic attacks from the Duosion.  Oof, taking that many hits is gonna leave a mark...everyone's safe, though.  That's the most important part.

Nathan blinks a few times, and finds that Gallade is right in front of him!  And looking a little winded, too.  And warily eyeing those two Duosion.  Ray's still off to the side, examining those Leftovers.  The wild P-Bulba is Confused, trying and failing to use FLASH, and Paralyzed...

...and Shiva appears to be edging closer to some wild pokemon that could easily get involved in this battle?   Uuuhhh...Nathan's not so sure that's a good idea, given how defensive everything here seems to be...

...for now, though, he's focusing on his own goal: catching the wild P-Bulbasaur and neutralizing the problem pokemon.

Which means Gallade is recalled for safety reasons and Grid is sent out in his place!

"Those Duosion are causing us problems, Grid.  Take 'em down, quickly and efficiently."

Grid is more than happy to show off one of his favorite moves: Fury Cutter!  Those Duosion aren't going to last long. Particularly since they can't possibly outspeed anything at the moment.

Target Priority: Whichever of the two Duosion is healthier will be hit first.  This'll most likely faint it (and Grid should stop attacking it when it does, obviously).  If that Duosion faints before all hits are used, I'd like to use the remaining hits on the other Duosion if possible.

Meanwhile, Ray's still minding his own business.  Om nom nom.  And Nathan is tossing 2 Ultra Balls at the wild P-Bulba!  (Seal Strength 6 versus its Will - 3.  Or -more if it takes at least 1 more point of damage and starts feeling Pained)

In this instance Shiva does not care what the others think or may think, her priority is keeping the young Eevee and the Umbreon fine, mostly by saving them from being the target of any attack or even getting involved in the battle against these Duosion. If the latter as a pure Dark Type would suprisingly wish to help defeating them on its own will though, she'd of course let him!

She's feeling a little sorry for them having to witness and endure this mild chaos of this wild battle while sympathizing with the male Umbreon wanting to protect its young. She can only imagine how many threats they may see here from their homey nook in the wall, this thought alone makes her wish she could give them a better place to live.

Umbreon and Eevee react with cries as soon as the Bulbasaur is captured! Their eyes turn very wide. They ignore the Duosion and go springing on over to Nathan. Melly and Forretress block their path.

Time for an Empathy check. This will either go somewhat well or very poorly, depending on the roll.

Empathy, -2 penalty: (4)(1)(2)(3)(1)(5) (6) = 3 successes.
Will: (4)(2)(2)(6)(3)(2) (1) = 2 successes

Umbreon, deciding Shiva has earned a modicum of respect, turns to her entreatingly. He keeps glancing back at Nathan's Ultra Ball.

Your words fall on a cave still full of tension between Umbreon and the party. Eevee looks scared and confused, too.

Terra doesn't verbally chip in his own two cents to Heart's inquiry, but he does slowly make his way forward to stand behind Shiva, silently staring down and keeping a watchful eye on the Umbredad from over her shoulder. His arms were also hanging loosely by his side, ready to make commanding gestures for Basteele/Melly to retaliate against any sort of aggression from the noble Dark type, be it attacking/Fainting them, or warding off the foxes. He's aware that Shiva is being strongly defensive/protective of the foxes, and that curtailing such hostile responses them would put him in even worse graces with her, but it was his duty to protect the group by most any means necessary, and if that meant Fainting/Scaring of Umbreon + Eevee and enraging her in the process.....so be it.

Orders: Melly and Basteele will promptly use Quick Attack and Bug Bite 3 Times each on Umbreon and/or Eevee (Depending on which one[s] attacks) if they try to act the group or turning clearly and explicitly hostile. If Shiva gets in the way/tries to body block the attacks with herself/her Pokemon.....well, it won't be happy times for them, that's for sure. I'd Grappled them and haul them out of danger, but I'm concerned that would tread into the 'Overly Hindering Other Players' territory, even with good IC reasoning. Hopefully Terra isn't required to do his job, or things between him and Shiva will never quite be so friendly again, I fear....

Nathan's watching that Umbreon and his kit carefully...

"Grid, to me, please.  Don't attack them unless they get aggressive."

That could potentially defuse a little of the tension.  Maybe.  If Umbreon and Eevee do get aggressive, though, Grid definitely looks ready to lash out with another round of Fury Cutters in response.  And Umbreon and Eevee definitely wouldn't last long against that, even if Grid were fighting by himself.

In summary, Nathan's staying wary of the wild felines, but he's not looking to continue this battle if there's no need to. Nathan's picked up the Ultra Ball containing the freshly caught P-Bulba by this point as well.

As the Duosion let out their last breath before becoming unconscious and Tanuki came rushing in incredible speed back to her, Shiva finally allowed herself to let go of some tension and relax a little. That Primal Bulbasaur was caught in the Ball Nathan has tossed on it as well, all should be well....

The moment she wonders how the young Eevee and its Dad are doing though, they both cry out what seemed to be joy(???) and move directly past her, she felt Umbreon's tail and young Eevee's fur collar softly brushing her shoulder even. Upon seeing that they leaped over to Nathan, the Ball with the troublesome Bulbasaur in his hand, she believed she UNDERSTOOD.

And she feels so incredibly stupid for not having gotten it a little earlier that it's almost giving her real pain.

She already hand a hand moving up to dry her wet eyes, when from the corner of it she spotted the black fox having turned to her, put he doesn't seem to pay much that much respect to her as she'd wish for. The shame and self-blame became stronger as she falls on her knees out of sheer weakness in frot of him, head hanging with her long hair obscuring the biggest part of her face as it fell forward.

"Umbreon.... I'm so sorry....", that was all she managed to say before she took all her courage and looked up to him to gaze deeply into his red, flashy red eyes - they reminded her so much on.....

"You're incredibly beautiful. Now, look at me.... Face me, listen to me. PLEASE." If words aren't enough, she'll raise her hand slightly to let the male Umbreon sniff at it, if his attention isn't caught by that either, she'll offer a hand of Gourmet Food.

"Thank you. Now, you... You and your young, I'm so sorry for me not having realized a bit earlier. Please exuse me... You two, having nestled here in the cave, where this Bulbasaur can let loose a bright flash of light any time - it must be hard to find some peace and restful sleep, is it? Now, it is captured. How do you feel now? What will you do now? Where...... will you go? Will you continue to stay here, raise your Eevee here... Or...?"

She pauses a little, even begins to smile a bit. "From the moment I saw you, I liked you. Both of you. Tried to calm you, but you didn't reacted... You know why? Because you, you'd be such a perfect match for my female Vaporeon or the female Umbreon at home. I'm with the latter since so long, she evolved due to me, she's so dear to me - what would you say to a home, to a mother for your young Eevee, to getting to know her once? I'm sure she'll...love to meet such a precious male exemplar as you are."

She throws a careful glance over to the young Eevee. "What would you say to a mother, young one?"

"Same with Vaporeon. She's so in love with life, decided to come with me as I promised teaching tricks to her... No, she's not with me NOW. But I'll... introduce you to her if you like, if you'd come with me - you and your young, of course. If you wish to battle, you will battle, I'll let you experience interesting battles as we travel together. If you wish to have a more peaceful life, to just be with me and have me help you raising your Eevee - I'll provide that you as well. All you have to do is...."

"....coming with me. The choice is yours. I'm not lying - I'd love to care for you two." With that said, she places one fluff of Cottonee in front of her, followed by putting her remaining two Safari Balls onto it.

All Shiva can now do is wait - and hope, the tension in the air almost rings in her ears.

Both Tanuki and Lilith are withdrawn by now, showing that Shiva's not going to attack.

Shiva does notice Terra coming to her to have her back, and even if she doesn't response in words or even gestures, she appreciates his gesture while blatantly hoping that his watchfulness will not scare Umbreon and his young unnecessarily; or in short words: She's having rather mixed feelings.

Knowing how strong and bulky Terra is though, she's not do dumb to try getting into any attacks by his Pokemon, means she will NOT attempt to take the hits from Melly or Basteele if the foxes get agressive suprisingly.

As Shiva begins her entreaty, she realizes she's read Umbreon all wrong. Must be the remnants of FLASH in her eyes. Umbreon and Eevee are very fearful right now, angry, offended. Nothing she's said has helped them at all, but they're still hoping she will figure out what they're asking.
They've leapt to Nathan because he's near the Ultra Ball, and that's what they want - not for vengeance, but for longing.

As Nathan touches the Ultra Ball, it goes clear and he can glimpse inside. What the...that's not a Bulbasaur at all, Primal or otherwise!
