...well, this trip certainly did not go how Nathan expected it to.  At all.  On the bright side, Ditto is barely even scratched.  Only took 1 point of damage, the Confusion and Disable wore off as soon as it was captured, and the Paralysis also wore off as soon as Ditto was captured because of Limber and the Transformation also ending when Ditto was captured.

He nods quietly to himself when Umbreon and Eevee decide to go with Shiva along with Ditto.  Okay, good...he apparently didn't screw up royally...that's...good...and the family is still together...that's...great...he has a feeling that Ditto and Umbreon won't breed with any pokemon besides each other, to be honest...what a weird thing to think about...

That's all he says for now.  He has no reason to believe Shiva's not being earnest, but...he needs to think on what she said for a little while...

Now, the whole purpose of this trip for Nathan was to capture some stuff so he could get his Claw Fossil revived.  That hasn't been done yet.  Nathan would still like to catch a few of those Unown still for Laurelin if possible. (lol, and everyone except him has gotten at least one new pokemon from this cave trip.  Just yet another reason to double down on getting that Anorith/Armaldo revived.)

But of course, there's also shiny stuff in the cave to be had.  Should probably check that out first before potentially provoking the local wildlife further.

So...a big carving that looks rather like a sword?  Hmmm...does it share any similarities to the glowing sword Nathan was holding in the vision he saw?

The shiny stuff in the carving turns out to be a white (Normal) TM. Wait, no, three TMs! The Pokedex says they are all Hidden Power.

No, this carving is very crudely done, but the sword it represents is a brutal hacking sword, almost a machete. Whereas the glowing sword was a fine longsword, like a nobleman would have.

I remind you that this carving is not old, it's not an artifact. It looks more like vandalism. Furthermore, stretching your memories way back to the Great River, you've seen this symbol before: it turned out to be the symbol of the Scimitars! Shiva for sure has seen it, and I believe she described it for Nathan. Terra hasn't seen it yet, and I don't know if Heart has seen it yet. Some Scimitars wear it on their robes, so perhaps he's had a small glimpse.


Terra is gathering up the Star Pieces. He gathers enough to sell for $9800! I need to know how these are being carried out of the cave - by hand, in Pokeballs, in bags?

Each trainer receives 6XP from this, and 12XP to divide among their Pokemon who were out.
Shiva and Nathan get +1 XP.

Tanukizoon and Ambipom both picked up more TMs!! Tanuki found Signal Beam and Ambipom found Dragon Pulse.

Heart get a feeling he see that symbol somowere...he just dont know where. He makes a picture in his notes to show and tell the others about it. Maybe any one of them might know something. Ambipom then come and show the Dragon Pulse TM. "Awesome! That TM shall be very useful to let Gustav learn another Pulse Move to go along with Mega Launcher. Great job Ambipom^^" Heart also return Viktor to the pokeball and bring Meowth once again. With his two Normal-type pokemon, he meet the others. "Hey guys! I found something strange. Here."

Then Heart show the picture of the sword carving to Nathan/@Dragonstrike, Terra/@Lord Windos and Shiva/@PhantomUnderYourDesk. "Did you guys ever see such picture? I have a strange feeling of have meet before, but I dont know where..."

Heart also takes some Stardust or Starpieces. And also ordered Meowth to use Payday to get some money around this cave @Iron

Dragonstrike can update you new Meowth owners on the Payday rules. It's significantly less valuable outside of battle, just like in the Core Book.

Once ANOTHER TM - this time one in a weirdly green one - has been brought to her by Tanuki with a pleased growl, Shiva lurkes off to a dark corner to scan it with her Almanac: What it shows about the move coded on it, causes her to heavily frown and rejoice at the same time: It's Signal Beam, that's to her knowledge actually not available as a TM! Usually Move Tutors can teach this, many Pokemon have a predisposition for this move. That certainly strange, but pretty fascinating as well. "Good job, Tanuki... This will be useful for one of my Psychic Pokemon. Back into the pocket of my cloak then, will you?" The furfluffball seems happy to squirm back in there to nimble at the cookie Master has given her, leaving crumbles everywhere.

Hey, if I'd give Tanuki the TM of Signal Beam to hold or sniff, could she actually find one more exemplar or yet another TM with Electromagnet Ability? Just thought...


Shiva seems busy and concentrated on the puzzle with the feline features, but as Heart calls her to him to look at something among the others, she eventually trots over to see what's so important or interesting. Once having given him all the info she knows, she'll go back to the puzzle to solve it, asking to give her a little more than 10 minutes.

Kneeing down she investigates that strange sign Heart points out, go, the fae enthusiast musters it with growing discomfort before something in her mind began to ring as sharply as a Soundboosted Screech: She has seen this symbol already, definitely! It's so long ago, almost at the beginning of the journey, but she remembers it crystalclear.

She gets up, backs off, flinches away from the sign in faint terror and fear, Delphox eventually catches her and has her back - all while not taking her eyes from that pesksy pesky sign... "Heart... Yes, I've seen it before. I'm sure. That was... Somewhere on Route 1, we were traveling, when a wild Murkrow lead me to a very strange place where exactly that symbol was carved in the sand." She even made a photo of it back then, but as her cell got fried in Mount Sentry and she had no chance to transfer photos to the new cell Golda send her, she unfortunately can't show it to the group now. :C

"That's most likely the symbol of the Scimitars... Earth ones? Yes, it... can only be that." She fell in grim silence.

Heart was so much in shocked with Shiva revelation he let the notes fall in the ground, who makes some dust lift from the ground. "It...it cannot be. Damnit, we cant have any relax without bump with them! Wait....if that symbol is here." Heart then takes a ofensive position, with his insticts in hight alert. Ambipom and Meowth must have felt that too, because they in position of fight too, in case some enemy appears. "You mean there is might a chance to this place be a Scimitar base? If yes, we must be very careful." Heart look to all sides of the cavern, almost like expecting some enemy to appear in the shadows.

Delphox hisses sharply as Heart takes an offensive position, both as a warning to not come close to his Master and as a clear request to calm down, with a hand gesture of Shiva the wizard fox turns silent. "No, I don't think that this cave would be a Base of them. If it were, we'd certainly find hints that point into this direction - choosing a completely dark cave that's near Cress City also doesn't sound like the smartest hideout either. I.... I feel more like....

..... like they mark significant places with that symbol. They've been here, only shortly even as this sign is relatively fresh. Maybe, uhm... maybe we should slowly get a move on as well and not dwell here longer than necessary."

Nathan starts examining the Unown on the wall.  Are they spelling anything particularly interesting?  Are there any five letter words that don't look like a part of any particular message?

(On phone , so my last orders for Terra helping Nathan catchUnown still stand , but he's more on guard and watchful now that the Scims have been introduced . He'll help excavate the HPs , and the they'll be passed out based on final decisions in Meta thread along with Star Piece(s) )

Shiva will help Nathan catching 5 exemplars of the tiny Unknown - if there is still need for her help after she's done with that stone puzzle depicting an ancient Eevee and more feline ceatures + noting down what she can see/read in it; as well as register Eevee and his Umbreondad to a Safari Ball each.

If the 2 Pokeballs she has requested from him for that task end up being unused, she'll give them both back to him at the first opportunity. If asked for them, she'll hand them over as well.
