[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

I hope so, at least. Bad enough that MEW more or less violently interuptted what was supposed to be a relaxing/easy enough Encounter, so I don't need them 'guarding' Terra's Pokémon.....or worse. He'll be power hiking to get back over their ASAP, once he's Stablized enough not to take Lethal Damage per hour.

But Windos dear, what would be a Tabletop Campaign without overly dramatic scenes and -combats against mighty foes? While I actually enjoy the thrill of that, I'm incredibly worried every single time that anyone of us could die, so I guess my positive and negative viewpoint on these somewhat balances out.

No way Shiva would wish to get back into Ancestor Cave now due to the panic and shock she experienced, not by the long run and not without a good reason (seeing all the Umbreon flocking the cave in a moonlit night at some point might be one?). If you want to retrive L.Lazuli and scrappy Meowth, please do so alone, I'm sorry...

Gallade will definitely be joining Terra as a safety measure/panic button, no question.  Can't Teleport to the cave, but he can Teleport Terra back.

Alright, I'll edit my post a little to reflect that in the means of she'll check on them both to assure herself that Terra's in medical care.

I counter by saying their are plenty of ways to introduce dramatic scenes/intense combat WITHOUT resorting to introducing (suddenly or not) Plot Deviced MONSTERS that require either running away ASAP or playing a highly risky game of puzzling how to 'defeat' it while also NOT getting killed. Iron's done it before several times already, both before and after everyone's charas. became powerful as they are, so whenever he introduce a LEGENDARY Enemy, I can't help but feel not excited or thrilled, but full of dread, resignation, and a sense of futility/frustration. For me, it DOESN'T balance out, and its one of the things I have to 'deal with' and overcome in order to enjoy his otherwise mostly splendid game.

That's MORE than fair, dearest, as I wouldn't ever have Terra go back their AGAIN if he didn't have Pokémon in need of evac.. , so no hard feelings!

Thank you, mate. I really appreciate the help, especially since its a hugely risky for Gallade to do so. One does not walk back into the lion's den after barely scrapping by, after all...

What would such a way be according to you as an example, out of curiosity? The only thing that springs to my mind at the moment is introducing a foe that has a Base HP of 20 or more and making it decently strong/strong enough to deal some good damage to our Pokemon or even fainting some of our battlers before  finally succumbing. Plus making it unable to catch for fairness and preventing anyone in the party for having a bulky monster due to a successful Capture Roll.

No problemo mate. The battle against Tanuki will have to wait. Heart not going to rest until he help Terra retrieve his two pokemons.
