No obvious hints from my side to keep at least some sort of suprise effect and prevent predicting from the foe's side, but with its moves the owl can safely attack both Caesar and Rose with SE-damage. If you'd bring the 4th Pokemon out now you'll be locked in your choice of Pokemon for the rest of battle - that's the risk to take, but sometimes it might be worth it!

*Raises Eyebrow* …I thought that we were supposed to root and support our fellow players, not deliberately keep them in the dark if we have usefull info. to give them, but to each their own.

We indeed shall or are soft-supposed to, but me feels that revealing to much here in MetaThread against Tanuki has a quite the potential to backfire harshly, which can be prevented by trying to not discuss things that'll be revealed in GameThread in too much detail - that 'trying to not have anyone look into one's cards on hand', figuratively. On the other hand, it's true that by discussing orders/choice of Pokemon to some degree can drastically change the battle in a good and bad way - it's quite a fine line to walk on.

That, and I'm not the best on giving advice for important battles in the first place! >_<;

I think I will decide my next move tomorrow...sorry to stall the game people but I really need to be very careful about the choice I gonna make.

In my opinion, it's fair game to discuss OOC what was revealed earlier in the game or is 100% known because of information in the boom.  Particularly in a play by post, where looking up information on what happened previosly is easy to do.

For example, as a reminder, that Noctowl is big.  It has a +2 HP surprise due to being overgrown.  As Noctowl has 5 base HP and Tanuki has 3 Vit, that means it has 10 HP total.

IC knowledge is another matter, obviously, but it can sometimes be justified that OOC knowledge is also IC.  Sometimes.  The +2 HP surprise, for example, should be immediately obvious to Heart because of how big Noctowl is, regardless of whether Nathan said anything about Noctowl and her moves.

Thanks mates! You two are awesome! And this battle was awesome too! 3 pokemon down in Tanuki side, and 2 in mine. But I cant let my guard down now. Dagny battle was more or less like that too. Time to bring my Emperor to the battlefield.

It's always amazing to me how much even the simplest entry hazards can affect the choices you make in which pokemon to send in next.

Though nothing has topped Stealth Rock in the games yet.  That entry hazard is just plain ridiculous in how powerful it is with how easy it is to set up.

ROCK SMASH should have triggered Poison Point, right, @Iron?

Fixed, thank you. Tanuki was trying hard to avoid that ability but she couldn't resist Rock Smashing.

Considering that Percival is your last Pokémon, it might be a great idea to use Iron Defense to fortify it against any surprise Moves against Pidgeot, before using your best Rock and/or Steel STABs against it. Never can be too safe, after all!
