Those little murals on his hide depict all sorts of famous and recognizable scenes from this area's history. Nothing you can't identify/already knew, though there may be things you had never seen pictured before such as the famous outpost towers of Sarimanok or the treasures looted from the upper layers of the Ruins.

Woohoo!  The murals make this Sandshrew extra interesting for Nathan!  He's likely a keeper.  To the PC he goes for the time being, though.  The excitement is definitely a welcome distraction from the constant sense of dread.

How much exp was earned from that encounter?

2 for Gallade, 1 for Nathan.

First impression of the long tongued lizard-mammal thing were not positive for the martial monk, especially after it tried to glob his footwear in their salivatory secretions. He back-stepped away from it before that (glob) and favored it with a particularly unimpressed glower, before plucked Anubi ball from his belt and tossed it out to summon them. Then, once the blue bomber got its bearings, he got their attention by pointing straight at Lickitung, and said thus: "Anubi, this your opponent. Go wild."

With such an unimpressive creature and in a low pressure/consequence environment, Terra believed + trusted his aural jackal can handle it on their own, and so left them to conduct the battle entirely themselves as a show of his faith and confidence in them. Simple, yet thoughtful!

Order: Anubi is going to fight Lickitung, and all without Terra's own input, for the reason described above (Building more Loyalty/Happiness between them, in jest)! No Pokeballs will be spent on it, as my chara's completely uninterested in them due to its introductory behavior. Time for the Fighting doggie to show their Moves!

Also, standing order concerning Anubi: Until it learns Final Gambit, Terra will cancel/stop its Evolution into a Lucario whenever it occurs. If they desire an explanation for that, he will explain to it that its not ready yet and need more experience/training/control before they can fully handle their Evo's capabilities effectively AND responsibly. That's all!

Miltank: (6) + 3 Dex + 3 Survival + 2 = 14
Kyuu: (3)
Cherrim: (3)

Miltank Round 1

Kyuu races forward as if he's going to singlehandedly stop the rolling Miltank - and it WORKS. Miltank alters course just as Kyuu sticks out a paw where she was moments earlier. Kyuu catches enough flesh to have a chance to deal damage.

Fake Out 1
(3)(2)(2)(3)(6)(6)
(2) Nope, it just makes Miltank flinch 1.

Sunny Day 1
(3)(1)(5)(2)(2)(6) (4)(4)
The sun pokes out from behind the mountains, driving away the rainclouds (or maybe it's the other way around?) Cherrim opens up beautifully, inspiring Kyuu!

Leer 2
(6)(2)(2)(5)(2)
-1 Def

Rollout 2-5
3 Dex + 5 Fight + 4 -1 acc =5d6>
(2)(1)(4)(4)(6)
(2)(1)(1)(6) Miss
(3)(4)(2)
(3)(4) Hit three times!
5 Str + 1 power +1 Defcurl = 7d6, -6* vit = just 1d6!
(4),(1),(2)

Miltank bounces back and forth from Kyuu to Cherrim to Kyuu again, but only Kyuu takes 1 dmg.

Leech Seed 2
(6)(4)(4)(6)(6)(5)
Miltank was seeded!

Leech seed: (5) Miltank takes 1 dmg 8/9hp

Anubi: (2) + 7 = 9
Lickitung: (1) + 3 Dex + 1 Survival = 5

Lickitung Round 1

Anubi goes to his old standby, tromping right up the extended tongue with his arm out...until his arm meets face.

Force Palm 1
(6)(1)(3)(5)(2)(5) (4)(5)(4)(3)(5) Critical hit. Lickitung blinks and begins retracting his tongue as Anubi mashes him.
5 Str + 2 power +2 crit +1 STAB -3 vit = 7d6
(6)(6)(6)(4)(3)(6) (5) Lickitung takes 6 dmg. 2/8hp -2 pain.
CD: (5)(4)(4)

Lickitung retracts his tongue as far as it will go, sending an unconcerned Anubi to the ground. Lickitung tramples the little pup as it flees.

Stomp 1
(4)(2)(5)(1)
(2)(3)
CD: (2)(4)(5) Anubi gets right up and grabs the tongue and slams Lickitung to the ground, using its momentum against it.

Counter 2
(5)(4)(5)(3)(2)(3) 4)(1)(3)(3)
(6)(5)(4)(6) Lickitung faints. Anubi dusts off his hands and returns to Terra, dragging the Lickitung a short way until he gets tired of it, whereupon he pees on it and leaves.

Terra learned something, though maybe not as much as he'd have learned commanding a battle. 1XP for Terra, 4XP for Riolu. And more importantly, as hoped for, Riolu gains 1 point of Loyalty.

The rugged wanderer nodded in satisfaction/pride as Anubi flawlessly took care of the slobbering 'menace' , his faith in their capablities well rewarded. Those feelings of pride were cut short when they pissed on it, however, causing him to frown at and scold the aural jackal for its disrespectful and uncoth behavior, waggling a finger at them as he did so.

"*Shakes head* No, bad Anubi. Peeing on your defeated foes is wrong and not good at all. It is rude and very much disrespectful. Shows you are.......undisciplined and mean-spirited too. Makes us look bad and.....shameful to everyone. Which is a bad thing. So don't do it again. Understand?"

What my chara. does from this point onward is up to Anubi's reaction, so I'll stop right here and wait for that outcome!

Anubi looks ashamed. He never really thought about it before and didn't realize humans would find it uncouth. He nods to show he understands.

(Natu pointing to Skull Ruins is probably something important. But now need to focus in another thing.)

When Heart see the zigzag pathern, he then stand up and go in a certain direction. He sit in some rock, and open his bag, taking out dry food, and some fruits. He offer some to Natu and then he say enough to Kecleo hear. "Hey, you can get out of your hiding place Kecleon. Join us to eat something. You must be hungry."

Miltank Round 2
Let's see, Miltank is first in Init Order, but suffers -1 Defense and 1 Damagepoint. And is leechseeded.
None of my Pokemon are hurt apart Kyuu with 1 Point, Flower Gift Ability is active.
Sunny Weather Round 2/4

The thankfulness and relief in Shiva was very real when her psychic cat efficiently stopped that huge rolling ball of a cow from hitting her, despite he didn't make it to leave claw marks on it she's sure that he left an impression. Especially as she showed how intimidating his gaze can be, neatly underlined with low growls.

Seeing Cherrim folding her petals open to display her grace alongside feeling the warm beams of sunlight on her skin was a view that filled her awe, she could literally FEEL the energy her cherry blossom radiated - it was strenghtening, it gave her confidence to win against this Miltank. It was still cirled up in a ball and ready to roll over any of her Pokemon (or her is this exemplar is mean), speaking with it now would much likely be effortless if she had to guess. Alright... In that case, Shiva took a deep breath and decided to END THIS, and then make haste to get away from here. Next time, she'll be more careful when approaching a Pokemon that's busy with training!

A dramatic hand- and armgesture is given to both Kyuu and Nightshade. "Okay, you two... I think our opponent's serious, so how about we're showing Miltank some of our moves? In particular, your newest moves. I didn't want things to go this way... - But let us at least give Miltank some good training against us before one of us falls."

---------------------------------------------
Both my Pokemon are on 5*Strength and 6*Vitality as long Nightshade's out and the sun's up! I kinda like this Ability already. Wanted to try negotiating Miltank to a battle without fainting her (just training), but doesn't sound likely to work.

Accuracy Roll Kyuu's Signal Beam! 3x: 4 Dext + 2 Fight + 4 Channel - 3 Actions = 7d6, 6d6 and 5d6 for the following actions respectively.
Damage Roll: 5*Strength + 3 power of the move, no STAB = 8d6, neat.
Additional notes: Has 1 CD to confuse.

Nightshade concentrates as she soaks up the beams of sunlight and the hidden powers of the surrounding, before lashing it out in a wave at Miltank! We're on a grassy hill near Tall Grass, so Nature Power will take Grass Type. Unless the Route is close enough for Ground Type?

Accuracy Roll Nightshade's Nature Power, 3x as well: Same as Kyuu's Signal Beam.
Damage Roll: 5*Strength + 3 power of the move + 1 STAB = 9d6 by the power of flowers.
Additional notes: Blows up bug powder and pollen for 3 CD to inflict sleep.

As soon as Miltank's defeated, Shiva will NOT catch it, but gather her Pokemon, speak out an apology to Miltank for the disturbance and wishes her fruitful further training, before making haste to get away from this hill and back to the others. She looks a bit scared when arriving with her cat and cherry blossom safely in her arms, but only shakes her head in the means of 'Please don't ask, okay...?' if being asked what's wrong. She'd confess that she's the reason for the sunshine though, a coy smile on her face.

Terra's stern expression softens at his blue bomber chastised understanding, before he crouches down to pat them on the head.

"Good. We all do bad thing without knowing sometimes, so don't feel too bad. Learn from your mistake, and do better. Be better. That is all. Okay?"

He then smiles slightly, and congratulates them on their fight well done against Lickitung.

"Great job against tongue monster. You took them down fast, and with no problems. *Nods* Well done. We'll start on following commands in battle later. Now....*Smile widens a bit* ....we spend some time together."

With that said, the mountain of a man offers the Fighting doggie a lift on his shoulder (after making sure no leftover pee was going to drip on him!), and they explore/view the Route for a bit before heading back to the group. During that time, Terra was pointing out interesting natural sights/plants and explaining what they were/could be with his High Survival/Moderate Nature, while they (Anubi) were probably half paying attention, and half focusing on using their partner's body as a mobile playground of sorts, or looking for another more challenging Pokemon to fully quench his thirst for Fighting!

Order: Spends some time hanging out with Anubi after winding up that scolding, then join back up with the rest of the group so that we can head to our next destination ASAP. As my chara just said, that's all!

Kecleon's tongue reappears and steals some of your fruit, but Kecleon stays hidden.
