Strangest of all, he has a big lantern on a long lanternpost. It emits light and sound in many frequencies. Some Bug Pokemon are flapping around it currently. Kecleon's stomach rumbles.

The road leading to his house looks well-traveled by delivery trucks. Sometimes, items fall off those trucks.

Well, at first, Nathan and Gallade don't pay much mind to the still wild Kecleon.  There's other things for them to think about right now.

That all changes when Gallade points out to Nathan that Kecleon is feeling hungry.  It doesn't take long for Nathan to put two and two together once he sees the bug lantern.

He was going to let his bees do some honey gathering, but that seems like a really, really bad idea while that Kecleon is around and uncaptured.  We don't want Zippy to become a midday snack now, do we?

Not much to say about the TM other than that's the encounter I'd like to take.  Maybe Nathan finds it while he's foraging for berries, though?

Dunsparce crawls up to Terra's feet. It's still too little to "fly." It wraps around him somewhat automatically - its instincts are similar to a reptile rather than a cuddly mammal, but unlike reptiles it definitely feels familial affection. Its skin feels tough and slightly scaly but smooth overall.

"Hi! My name is Cliff, I'm a Pokemaniac if there ever was one! I love Pokemon Eggs! Breeding them, hatching them, taking care of them...just feeling them! Sketching them, all the different designs! They just feel right! I've researched all the different ways Eggs can hatch: speedily while traveling with other Pokemon, seasonally when secreted away in the wild, or very very very very slowly in the PC system! That's one thing I want to talk to Bill about, are you also heading for Bill? Hey, would any of you like to battle, just one Pokemon? I'll wager $800, how's that sound?"

While rooting around in the Berry bushes, Nathan finds two misplaced discs! They're brown...and the Pokedex says they contain Stealth Rock!

Stealth Rock has a pretty great selection in the Core Book, so we'll just keep it at ? moves and level up moves already in Core.

Terra finds a crate, looks like it's been abandoned in this ditch for a long time. The planks are all rotten and no branding of any kind can be seen on it. The contents are untarnished, however: Shiny Dwebble shells! Where Dwebble's secretions touch these rocks, they become a glow in the dark yellowish green color, almost emerald. The ten shells are worth $15,000 total.

Heart finds another experiment, half-buried in the ground. It's a long green rod that smells like earth. Viktor is very attracted to it.

This Miracle Rod is related to a Miracle Seed. It emanates a fertilizing aura. When held, it adds two feet (and two HP) to any Grass-type Pokemon, and also allows the use of Grass Knot.

It wraps around him somewhat automatically - its instincts are similar to a reptile rather than a cuddly mammal, but unlike reptiles it definitely feels familial affection. His smile grew warmer as his winged snake 'embraced' him, rubbing a hand across her blue/white stripped back and hearing them coo affectionately in response. Anubi, finishing his inspection, gave them a comradery pat on her and an ever so slightly infectious grin, and returned to stand by the monk, paws on his hips to strike a courageous stance that looked adorable next to his giant of a master. Yeap, they definitely passed his scrutiny with flying colors (as he didn't get the urge to wallop them even once!), so welcome to the team Dunsparse! We'll have LOTS of fun and great battles together, so you can count on that!

Terra didn't say anything to his little one for a time, simply enjoying this unique, tender, loving moment so long as he can, caressing her and  sharing a caring gaze with her all the while. Eventually, he did break that comfortable silence , voicing what he'd been pondering until then.

"Your name will be Angie. Because you are my little angel. Taking care of me, while I care for you too."


He bent down to reach for her, gently picking her up and cradling her in his arms. The blue bomber took this opportunity to hop onto his shoulder, reclaiming their perch on the mountain to tower above all others. Then, Terra rose back up to his full height, and gave his seraphim to be a simple, yet friendly smile.


"Let us go now. To meet with my friends, and...…show them to you."

Saying that, the rugged wanderer made his way back towards where the rest of the group was now lingering, eager to introduce his little one to them all. A great big man, with a fiercely cute little dog on his shoulder and a cuddly chubby baby snake in his arms.....what a sight that will be!

The martial monkish man was pleasantly surprised by the good fortune he'd invariably stumbled upon, taking on of the SDS' in hand and gave it a thoroughly appraising glace, before nodding in satisfaction and started stowing them away on his person.....somehow. Well, not before he had showed them off to his baby snake and rascal jackal!

"See this? These are pretty hermit crab shells. All of them worth lots of Poke, I think. What do you think about them, Anubi? Angie?"

Nathan doesn't have much to say about Angie the Dunsparce* for now when Terra introduces, but he has a...knowing smile on his face, shall we say.  Both because he knows something Terra doesn't (yet), and because he knows exactly what it feels like to have such an adoring, cuddly young pokemon that you can't help but to love.

Anubi would just maybe want to chew on them, at best. They don't have an interesting aura without their inhabitants. 
Angie would be a little more interested, because she has an instinctive interest in minerals or other things that might be found while tunneling out a huge mazelike nest underground. So she just kind of investigates them with half-cracked eyes.

The Dunsparce Egg was originally in Shiva's care after Valder has left it for them before it ended up going to Terra, she obviously remembers this the moment the mountain of a man joins back to them with a tiny little snakelike being in his arms, radiating joy and happiness all around. She's still a bit taken aback by Heart's teasing comment about needing her super duper psychic powers, but warms up quickly at the sensation that the Egg has finally hatched. Aww!~

She's not too shy to carefully approach Terra, congratulating him dearly for the hatching and curiously mustering the young one and gifting it a soft smile. Her Almanac showed that it's having a pedigree, but so far she can not spot anything really special about it - Maybe it'll show when this Dunsparce is raised? It probably will, or so she guessed. "It's quite a beautiful one, Terra... So adorable, and so small! Is it a he or a she? Will you raise it? Oh, and.... and.... *eagerness washes over her expression* May I stroke it? Very carefully? You'd allow me that, lil' Dunsparce? You don't have to be scared - I've handled many young Pokemon like you at home. Oh, and hello Anubi!" *waving to him* Doing fine?"


The joyful break and welcoming of the new snake soon gets interrupted by someone approaching them, Shiva does turn silent and a bit meek but perks up visibly the moment the word 'Pokemaniac' and 'love for Pokemon Eggs' fall, now mustering him with awoken interest. The offer of a battle causes an itching feeling in her hands, she also caught herself watching him in the eyes. A few seconds later, she raises her hand in an uncommonly energetic way. "I would, I would, yes! Battle, I mean. Please! You... You as someone with an interest in Breeding Pokemon HAS to tell me more about that, what you've hatched, and about your research on Eggs...  I'm Shiva by the way, come on!~" ^o^ *hand gesture of 'Let's go'* Towards the others: "Ah, we'll be back eventually, wait for me please, okay? Shouldn't take too long."

Along the way searching for a good battlefield, Shiva speaks up once more. "Only one Pokemon and 800$ is just fine! Ah, but... So we have to battle until fainting? I, eh, would rather not unless we have to...?"

Shiva's choice who will face Cliff already stands though, the white light coming from the tossed Ball manifests into a gracefuly flying creature: It's a benelovent archangel! "I'm counting on you, Raphael!"
