[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

Electruxo's Umbrella
Combines the effects of a Magnet and a Mystic Water. This item is not League-legal in 2017, but no one bothered to make it against the rules in 1925. It's legal until the turn of the century and in all wild battles.

Whoahw. As stated in a previous post Shiva went to investigate this umbrella while Vaporeon was extinguishing the flames and the others were talking/introducing oneself and I did intent for her to take it with her if it's safe to do so, so most likely this Item goes to her belongings unless Spira snatches it immediately? Though in general Shiva is fine with sharing Items with others, means loaning it for important battles or so.

(OOC note, Spira has only one pokemon that would benefit from the magnet effects of the item, and he'd rather give that pokemon an expert belt, so Shiva is free to keep that item.)
Spira stops what he's doing for a moment and sees a girl investigating an umbrella that Noire alerted him to.
"Fascinating, isn't it. Apparently it improves both Electric and Water type moves."

Then he see the little Chupacabra pokemon. "Hmmmm...If I not wrong, that pokemon is Chupacho, the bloodsucker pokemon. A pure Poison-type Tandorian Pokemon. They only exist in Tandor if I recall. The same place my Gargoyle friend here come." Heart pat the head of his stone gargoyle. "They are really quite rare, so that was a amazing caugh you did my friend. Raise him well. You may unlock a great power within him."

(Well, I do have an Expert Belt that I quite value, and I just said I'm not opposed to loan out stuff for important Encounters or so to anyone, one only has to ask.)

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkk! Shiva immediately flinches away an inch from that curious battered umbrella the very moment the so-far-stranger does speak to her, causing her Alakazam to take a protective stance and display that he's not afraid of that small Ghost Type either. He does know Master has better Pokemon to deal with pesky ghosts, but they're not with her at the moment.

Her empathic senses and calm voice signal her that this young man does not mean any harm, so she rather quickly calms again only to move her gaze to the umbrella, then back to him, then to the umbrella again. "Wait a moment. You mean that THIS battered thing combines two Items?" She picks it up. "So, eh, is that yours? If not, I guess I'll take it. Ah, you want to carry it a little, Vaporeon?" (If she agrees, Leftovers are swapped for that Umbrella.)

The ice seems to be broken at least a little, but worry is still shaking her up. "Which time do we have, you said, 1925? Fine. You, eh..... live here?" At the very next opportunity, Raphael gets to play messanger pidgeon again as the date is mailed to Bill, alongside 'It took 120 seconds until I got the note that Raphael holding this mail has been sent successfully. Any idea how we could get back to May 2017??!'

"Just a moment let me prepare it." He removes his rucksack (Which looks similar to the kind used by mountain climbers) and takes off his coat and holds it out. The sleeves seemingly cross themselves and he lets go of the coat where it continues to float, and Noire's face appears in the collar hole. He then proceeds to pull out pots and ingredients from his bag that don't look like they would have fit there in the first place "Hida, I know you are still hurting from that battle  but you can still help as usual, right?"
*A few moments later*
"Might not look like much, but looks are often deceiving. By the way do you happen to know just what that Pokemon was that I just caught?"

"...uh, no particular reason.  Just...lose track of time easily, that's all."  That's Nathan's response to Spira's question.

Nathan then mumbles to himself, "...1925, huh...I had a feeling it was around that time, based on what I was seeing..."

He pulls out his journal and flips through it.  What would Nathan know about what happened in 1925, @Iron?

Nathan is literally in his element right now, his specialty field.

And his journal is now probably one of the most dangerous things in his inventory.

Of course, he's entirely aware of that.  If Spira even tries to peek at his journal, Nathan will shut it almost as fast as the eye can blink and repeatedly insist that the contents of the incredibly thick book are incredibly private.

He also tries to ignore how...queasy that soup is making him feel just by looking at it.

Gallade's sitting cross legged and focusing on meditating with his Pearl. He needs a breather for sure. However, every so often, he can't help but cautiously glance at that soup...it certainly doesn't look very restorative, that's for sure...

"Interesting looks like less time is passing for me than for you. Raphael has a lot of time energy built up in him. Should eventually expend on its own. May be able to hasten return by discovering stable time loops. Will look into it."

Nathan has 3 points in Lore.

1925 is famous for being the year modern Pokeballs were invented. Technically they came out just in time for Christmas 1924. Right now it looks like fall, so those Pokeballs are still spreading.

Experimental medicine was really big. Though things like Potions have been around for decades now, people are starting to search for alternative cures with flashier results. Lots of snake oil - some worked, some didn't. It's about to become much cheaper to carry a Pokemon around with you, so the idea of Pokemon as medicine is quite popular.

Healing Machines have been so thoroughly reverse-engineered that there is one now in every little town. This is when Chansey started to partner up with Nurses, who are not yet of the Joy family.

Creshire is quietly undergoing an independence movement. A treaty will be signed in winter 1925 giving Creshire full autonomy on the world stage.
In five years, the economy will crash as a result of bad decisions by the new League movement.

The Mamo are at their lowest point in history. Racism against them is very high and they keep to their Swamp. Lots of disease and violence in their population right now. But in just a few years, a few important human medical discoveries will put them back on the map again, and their population will recover.

Immigration is very high and Creshire is quite popular right now. This is when Sinnoh and Kalos are sending lots and lots of surveyors, investors, Trainers, researchers to figure out what Creshire has to offer. Of course, you can only get there on a long uncomfortable boat ride - it takes a lot of money to make that boat ride comfortable.
Exports are on the rise.

Women have had the right to vote and hold League office for three decades, but in summer 1925 the first female non-Shieldmaiden League Official was elected from among a field of 16 victorious battlers. First, anyone wanting office had to participate in a tournament, which involved a Contest-like format. Then you can vote for whoever you like most in the top 16. Some offices have larger or smaller fields.

Klink's third evolution was just discovered this year, as well as Gigalith.

Pokemon evolution research is experiencing a boom. Everyone is looking for new evolutionary methods - the Electirizer, the Protector, and the Magmarizer were invented early 1925. The Metal Coat was discovered as a method of hastening Steelix and Scizor evolution in 1920 as part of the war effort.

Music is about to get very, very good. They've just invented an oven-sized device called the Pokegear that can play music like a jukebox, has a rotary phone, tells time, and lights up a room.

That's the sound of Nathan shutting his super thick journal.

"...hmmm...so you're from Sinnoh, Spira?  What brings you to Creshire, if I may ask?" @Mikaruge108

"Yeah, I'm from Sinnoh, Hearthome to be precise." "Nubi, come out and give me your Sitrus Berry." (btw Nubi is a Misdreavus) He directs his attention to the Chupacho. "So a Poison type, looks like it might be in the monster egg group." "Poison types are not really my specialty, but nice to have you little guy. How do you feel about traveling with me?" He offers the Sitrus Berry to the Pokemon to eat.(@Iron, Chupacho's reaction?) {OOC note "egg group" ought to catch their attentions}

Chupacho snatches the Sitrus Berry and eats it, but he/she is staring off hungrily to the east, where a few Mareep and Miltank are grazing in a fenced in field.
