[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

Mine can be a simple dark brown one cloak.

Also @Iron, is Heart having any luck in spot any Honedge?

I'll get to that tomorrow, sorry. I'm too tired to do anything involving dice.

Terra, Shiva, and Spira can all choose something involving dice as an Encounter, too. Investigating those things didn't count as an Encounter. Shiva had mentioned berry picking, for example (But don't forget it's dark).

Alrighty then! It irks me badly that I can't get a HA Bunnelby now due to insufficient funds or a way to more reliably gamble with the resources Terra has, but thems the breaks. Had I known their would be an opportunity to buy one, I'd save my S.D.S.  just for that, but I couldn't know the future - er, past. Kinda wish the Diggersby/Bunnelby wouldn't had been brought up if Terra couldn't 'reasonably' afford in the first place it so I wouldn't be so frustrated/irked, but that's just me being petulant at missed opportunities.

Well, that's convenient. Put Pure Power Meditite/Medichan on my Wishlist too now, since having either (or both) Power users would be a neat and mighty conveniance + utility indeed!

If its possible, Terra like a thick dark navy blue cloak which ends/bottom doesn't trail on the ground and doesn't make much noise brushing up against grass. That way at night or in dark areas he isn't easily seen, and it can double as a blanket if he gets cold!

I've got one main color for the cloaks at the moment, and it's probably a dark brown because it's a common color.  Blue would probably also be...kinda odd, given the time period we're currently in.  Probably possible, and dying cloaks a different color could technically be a thing in 500 AD, but we'd probably have to ask Bill for the correct color material, and a slightly less common color might look a little out of place in certain circumstances.

With the current materials, Nathan can (presumably, based on what Iron's been saying) weave threads of other colors (more gaudy and/or metallic) into the brown to form simple line designs that stand out.  He's not an expert sewer by a long shot despite being more than dexterous enough to easily handle a needle, and the material I can make the cloak out of is canvas.  Canvas isn't exactly super quiet, unfortunately.  These cloaks are probably going to be more like basic traveling cloaks than anything else.

I honestly don't really know what to do in this situation, as getting a Diggersby/Bunnlby WAS my main Encounter of choice, followed by my chara just wandering/exploring the place and listening to all the stories/watching the battles go down. Since Terra doesn't really have any capital on hand that he can afford to bet with on a Battle and none of the mentioned wild Pokemon hold any interest with me (except possibly the one that would be Rare/Valuable in the Modern Era, like Aron, Natu, etc. ) , there's no fights for me to get into either. And I don't want to totally blow off the campsite full of the ROBUST! King's Era men just to go Berry or Item hunting, since I am really really interested in this setting's raw, primal competativeness and IC he promised he'd not wander off too far. Yet I'm also drawing a complete blank on what I COULD do at the King's Campsite, since I'm not all to certain what is or is not possible to do there, and if it would grant any tangible benefit besides pure RP.

Hmm...... if its possible, I'd like it if Terra just wander around the camp until something interesting happens that he can participate in/witness, or he stumbles upon something useful/important/noteworthy he can obtain (Item, Information, or otherwise). Not particularly creative of me to throw in the towel on making my own Encounter, but hey, you can't be innovative all the time....

Question though: is it possible that Terra can sell both the Treasure Map he got ? If anything, the Royals can probably get more use out of it than my simple monk can right now (Unless that one map that has a location around Cheshire can be gotten to 'quickly' enough - input here, mate?) .

Then I will decline having a cloak in that case. Terra has thick water proof (enough) blankets he can use if it gets too rainy for him, and he's pretty much unphased by but the most severe and extreme conditions nature has to offer (and even then he could probably tough it out for awhile/indefinately) due to living in the wilds for ~decade, so he can do without it. Means less work/Rolls for Nathan too, so that's a tangential benefit for you mate!

Yeah, Bill sent almost enough canvas to make a tent. He sent as much as a traded Pokemon can hold, which is a full bolt. It would also have included some gaudily colored and metallic threads for simple line patterns.

@PhantomUnderYourDesk

Alternatively, Nathan would have simply probably recommended wearing a cloak or simpler clothes of some kind if you reeeaaalllly wanted to go and talk to the soldiers.  (Yes, they're soldiers.  More on that later IC)

Let's just...not have any tension between the two of them over this, alright?  The statement wasn't meant to be ill intentioned (and was slightly uninformed.  Ah well...).

So, any particular colors or simple line patterns you guys want in your cloaks @Spiritmon and @Mikaruge108?  And if you also want some more colorful cloaks Phantom and @Lord Windos, Nathan can make some for Shiva and Terra later.

I really dont care abot what color it is. But Spira might like one dark grey.

Another brown cloak it is, then (cuz I've only got the one dull color and a bunch of gaudier threads).  I'll see if I can think of something creative to do with the threads and limited skill, though.

I'll just keep myself deliberately out of the discussion concerning Aegislash. Nothing to add from my side, next!

I'm fine with my precious used Ranger's cloak, but thanks for offering! It's wonderfully comfy, warm due to weaved-in fair of a Furret, features enough pockets where Shiva can store collected stuff while wandering through nature and a black color on the outside + dark green on the inside. Ideal for traveling and fantasy-feels, she'd only need a longbow.

I like the described in-game patterns, sewing just takes an awfully long time if done by hand.

Oh, we're good, no need to worry about that! I got that it wasn't ill intentioned at all, and maybe things came off a little weird as I didn't mean for Shiva to becoming angry or so about Nathan just for sharing that. It's more like she didn't enjoy what he shared - that 'less indepandant'-thing.

Funny thing is my character originally (Before I knew that he was going to be from the past) did train under Fantina. I like to think that Hearthome City's Gym may have been the one that Spira trained at, but I never said in the bio which gym, only that the Ghost-type gym leader of the time took interest in Spira. Time to fill in that part of the backstory, it seems. Do that IC when Spira gets the cloak.
