Heart look at the Terra about what he say about Cursed language with stunned look....then he let it out a little chuckle. "Dont worry big guy. I not ignorant or uncouth. But I get it what you say. I will avoid say cursed words from now on."
Heart to signature that give the monk a punch on his shoulder. What result in indirect hurt a little Heart hand since he put more strengh than necessary. Heart try to hide the pain with a nervous smile but a tiny tear was rolling in Heart eye. He hopes Terra dont notice that.
"You gonna ba surprised Terra. I not a super martial artist like you, but I may give some decent spar with you."
(...)
The rare collector's sincere affirmation to cut down on the cursing earned them stern (but not too much so) nod from Terra. Like Nathan did in regards to his education, he'll be sure to hold Heart to his word about this. Cursing is a BIG no no in by his standards, after all!
Considering how inept and thick he can be in all matters social and interpersonal communications, the mountain of a man didn't notice his friend's pained reaction to affably punching his nearly Lairon solid abs, giving them only a friendly smile in return.......and mimicking their gesture. Surprisingly, his punch didn't have all that much force behind it at all (he had excellent control over his Strength, and how to gauge the necessary amount to be used in a given situation) but it might be enough to catch Heart off guard.
At their optimistic confidence for their future spar, he only chuckled and nodded back, the former response replicated by his brother Shiranui, who was looking at the pun lover with almost unnerving enthusiasm. If they were that eager to learn the ways of Fighting from him, he can more than respect that dedication, and be happy to help. As for the sumo wrestler thoughts.....well, he was simultaneously amused and excited about their decision, for the exact same reasons as he blood brother.
Only Nathan knew/could guess that part of the reason Terra was so strong and skilled in Fighting was that he fought against his own Pokemon occasionally, and wild ones too with them. And given that the mountain of a man all but explicitly stated he was going to run them through the same tough regimen as his......
Poor Heart. Poor, poor Heart....

As Nathan nods to Terra to explain a little more about Charmeleon and Herolune (though he comments, "A little bit later, but sure."), Ditto looks a little offended at being compared to a no-good Skuntank. He's not sure what IBS is, but...he's fairly certain that's not a very flattering comparison...
"...it's not quite like that, Spira. There's...some kind of pattern to Ditto's Transformations...I think? And it can still detransform and turn into other pokemon most of the time, but...not always. Seems to be a rare occurrence, though."
--------------------
Terra's comments about their being a peasant camp somewhere in that mess gets a curious look from Nathan. "...huh. Must be stragglers or something...if they were soldiers as well, there'd probably be a more noticeable number of them, in that case..."
--------------------
Heart's...eagerness to challenge the soldiers is met with a...questioning gaze from Nathan. "...Heart, there's something else we all need to keep in mind: There aren't nearly as many healing machines in this time as there are in the modern era. In 500 AD, they were only a recent invention and hadn't been popularized and reverse engineered for public use. If your pokemon take serious damage, it's going to be hard to heal them without expending some items on doing so. We should probably avoid unnecessary battles."
--------------------
Gallade considers Terra's earnest request carefully, then nods back. Provided they can find time to do so, that is.
"...maybe the artowork increase the value? I don't really know, to be honest. Just...try not to give off the impression we're associated with the King's Army. I really would prefer to avoid them if possible..."
"...Child of Garlic? Kazesidhe?" Nathan takes a closer look at both pictures...starting with the one on the helmet.
"...you have got to be kidding me...Garlikid is a pokemon that exists after all? *sigh*...gosh darn it..."
He doesn't elaborate further on that comment, and examines the shield next. "...wait a sec...this looks...familiar..."
He has to think for a moment about it, but then he remembers where he saw something like that. "Oh! That's the pokemon I saw depicted as the East Wind! There's no mistaking it! It looks more...mechanical than that picture did, though...hmmm...it's definitely a member of the Legendary Beasts, though...maybe that picture was just worn down because of age..."
Wait a second...Kezesidhe? Wheels for feet? East Wind? That all sounds familiar, too, but for an entirely different reason...
When Terra also mentions Xerneas, Landorus, and Cobalion are members of the Royal Trio and which values they each represent, Nathan almost immediately writes that down. He doesn't say anything about it, but given how quickly he whipped out his pen and journal...
And finally, the bag of ash. "...actually, yeah, I do know of something I could do with it. I'll have to check if there's enough ash in there first, though...but yeah, I'll take it." *yoink*
--------------------
And now, the cherry on top: what we're doing next.
"...I'd honestly prefer to just...keep going towards the valley at the soonest opportunity. I agree that we're probably here for some specific reason, but...honestly, nothing in this area is jumping out at me and saying that's what we're here for. Let's just...keep going. Something will probably happen eventually, whether it's trouble or we return to where we came from."
And he thinks to himself, '...and I'd much prefer to be farther away from this army and the castle if at all possible...'
Terra would of course be completely oblivious to Nathan's true feelings on the matter of being in the King's Era, but never the less he offers them a firm clasp on the shoulder and a look of stoic reassurance. He's with them every step of this weird, wild journey of their's , so you can count on him to support them through thick and thin!
(...)
He breathes a small *sigh* hearing that the peasants weren't going to be mistreated/exploited by the soldiers, relieved that they were all going to be alright, relatively speaking. That's one less thing he has to worry about now.......hopefully.
(....)
Nathan's warning about Healing Machines being a scarcity was duly noted by the simple monk, as he more than understood the ramification and consequence of not having reading healing available, given he lived in/explored the remote wilds of his home region. Fortunately he had recently bought scads of Medical Items from Dr. M, and between Gallade/Ditto (And Gustav, but he doesn't know Heart has them with him) the group had plentiful access to Heal Pulse ( plus everyone else own supplies/any Healing Moves on their Pokemon) , so everyone was fine when it came to on the go healing. Plus, between him and Shiva, they could probably scrounge up plenty of Berries and/or Herbal Medicine if they devoted time to it. Whew....what a relief that all is, eh?
In light of this information, Heart's insistence on Fighting one of the soldiers was now meet with more concern with ever, as he looked over at them with a frown full of undisguised reservations.
"Heart......maybe it is not good idea to battle the soldiers. They are tough, and healing for our Pokemon is......not cheap. If still you want a hard battle, though....... I will give you one. Later. In our time.....or somewhere safer than here. Okay?"
Well, that's one way to solve an potential issue: a compromise! Question is, will the rare collector take it
(If you want a Hard Battle to test out your Pokemon, Terra can give you one either in the Modern Era for free, or in place of the next Set of Encounters, but I want the right to calls dibs on another Encounter in the future in that case, since I'm potentially giving up Rare Pokemon/Items/Encounters in the King's Era for that Hard Battle between our characters. How's that sound, @ Spiritmon ?)
(.....)
Now more understanding why the young scholar was so nervous about his armaments, Terra packs all but the Short Sword away into his Inventory, as he could more discretely hide the Eye on the SS with it pressed against his thigh. Better safe than sorry, even though he appreciated the protection/style they provided!
Their comment and unintentionally offer Insight on Garlikid earned them a curious/probing stare from the rugged wanderer, but before he could say anything they prevented him by speaking more about Kazesidhe, which only served to fan the flames of his interest even more as he quietly listened to them mumble/speak to themselves. When they brought out their journal to started writing down what he said about C.o.G. , Kaze. , and Sammy's Trio , he could contain his curiosity no longer, and got their attention politely as he could by reaching over and tapping them on the shoulder.
"Nathan? Know you like History and Legendary Pokemon very much, but.....not that you already know about Garlikid. And Kazesidhe. And Xerneas, Landerous, and Cobalion. *Beat* Can you tell me more about them? Why you are so.....interested in them, too?"
(.......)
Already stated this earlier, but Terra's all for leaving the vicinity of the King's Men Campsite pronto. After hearing all the danger and peril the group could possibly get into with them and their ruler/leader Sammy, he doesn't want to linger too much around them now, despite feeling so at home with them. Again, better to play it safe than risk an unfavorable exchange with an literal army of superhuman, or worse, the King or anyone of his proxies.

When Heart return he talk to Shiva. "Hey Shiva, I have find some strange stuff back where I found the HoneEdge. Its looks like some sort of protection against ghosts or something. I remember you was making the cleanse tags so maybe those symbols might help since you have the materials?"
Turning to Heart with a questioning look when he addresses her, Shiva perks up with mild interest as he opens up about having found 'strange stuff' - that describtion could practically mean anything, good and bad. Dizzy uses this moment to snatch the Weavile Feather off her hand to joyfully chew on it. The mentioning of Honedge though quickly brings her back into her meek and subliminally fearful attitude, she's trying hard to not show something of that openly.
She asks if he has copied the symbols and requests to see them if he does, she stares at them longly. Could it be, the spirit of a Pokemon here...? "I... guess they indeed are needed for the creation of a Cleanse Tag, good find. I'm sorry, but I don't have any enchanted pieces as a raw material anymore - I only bought one in Arrowroot Village for my own Tag. You'd have to buy or get a hold of that on your own somehow, then I'll be able to craft you one. In case I'll stumble over something, I'll let ya know, a....alright?"
"You sure Shiva? I remember I have give some raw material with the Cleanse Tags I guess? It was in Cress City I guess but it has been some time. But I guess you should have anyway these symbols with you. These write symbols might be useful if we someday enter on the Skull Ruins or have extra protection against evil ghosts." Heart give the pages with write symbols to Shiva hands. "Besides, they are more with you than me."

You wait for the soldiers to wander a little less, and then you slip away west. Soon you come to a point where the road decreases in width, losing the little statuettes and the rails. There are still signs of grandiosity, though, in the shadow of the peak. There are frequent guard towers with all kinds of silver-threaded banners, rare Pokemon, and big statues of royal figures with gems in them. And each has a Bronzong floating above it, draped in finery.
These Bronzong are also posted halfway between each tower. Nathan knows they can be run at any time by any one to summon assistance, though guards might be upset if you waste their time on unworthy obstacles.
That being said, there's plenty of road out of sight of either guard tower or Bronzong, and that's where the wild Pokemon remain. It's also possible to find items fallen out of carts, which run back and forth constantly even at night.
Beautiful wells are sunk into the ground, guarded by Conkeldurr. Certain tiles in the road have been laced with silver and mother of pearl - when the moon shines on them, they reflect the light in gorgeous patterns. Dizzy loves it.
Now and then, metallic arches stretch across the road, serving no practical function other than to display signposts in a more angular script than is used in 1925+.
You find a spot that seems rich in Pokemon life (and plant life too) where you can all go do your own thing while remaining in shouting distance.

Nathan looks up from his journal. "One second...was there anything else you heard about them that you can remember? Anything at all? About any of them."
[/quote]
*Flashback!*
Terra's eyebrows rose as the boy put him on the spot for more information about the Legendaries he's heard about, then closed his eyes in thought, as he dredged up the rest of the information he memorized about them.
"Hm.....Garlikid influenced Sammy to grant more rights to commoners. Said that they wear onion on head, cape of green, and......live on island west of Cheshire. Legendaries Beasts Entei, Raikou, Suicune, and Kazesidhe called 'the volcano, the thunder, the tarn, and the mechanical slyph.' Xerneas, Landorous, and Cobalion.....were Legendaries of Sammy's house. Something about.....'Healing Hands, Deadily Heads'? *Shakes head* Don't know what that is. Trio.....enforce Sammy's rule and make his words known. Taught people.....how to make Pokeballs and use them, using.......magic crystals from Xerneas' Horns, and Landorous' fruits. Also taught people how to train and battle with Pokemon too......think he was talking about Cobalion? Maybe? And.....that Trio.....'represent the future of the world.' That......is all I remember."
He winces as he finishes, the effort of recalling everything giving him a slight headache, before fixing Nathan with a plain inquisitive stare and a thoughtful frown. Now that he said all that, perhaps they could answer his original questions.....?

"...interesting, interesting...mechanical sylph, huh...island west of the region..."
*scribble scribble*
"...*sigh*...guess Heart was right after all...to be honest, Terra, I don't really know much about Garlikid. Some kind of rights activist in the image of garlic...that's about all I could tell you, other than it's almost certainly a Legendary...the first major island to the west of Creshire is known as Garlicburg, or will eventually come to be known as it if it isn't in this time."
"...Kazesidhe, I don't really know a whole lot about that one either. I do know it's often depicted as the East Wind. Suicune is the North Wind, a Primal Altaria is the South Wind, and the West Wind is Tornadus. This whole thing about Kazesidhe being a 'mechanical sylph' is news to me, to be honest...I don't know exactly how it relates to the other Legendary Beasts, unfortunately."
"Xerneas is the embodiment of Life itself. Landorus is the pokemon of Abundance. And Cobalion is incredibly Just and righteous. I can go into more detail later, though I have told ya a little bit about our encounter with Landorus already."
"I'm interested in them for varying reasons, but the one thing they all have in common is that there are things I didn't know about them. Fairly simple if put that way, to be honest. It'd take awhile to explain everything about each one."

Turns out his expectations were proven correct, for soon after the young scholar finished recording everything he said into his journal he explained what he knew about Garlikid, Kazesidhe, and the Royal Trio. It wasn't much, admittedly, but that was actually a good thing for the mountain of a man, since he had less information to digest and could follow along better. When they finished, he took a few minutes to mull things over and carefully filled away the new lessons on the Legendaries (With chin beard stroking in full motion here), until he grunted and gave sharp nod to himself, and looked back to Nathan.
"Okay. Thank you for telling me more about.....all the Legendaries. Hm.....yes, would like to.....learn more about them........Sammy, and time we are in later. All of them......they sound interesting. Are interesting. *Shakes head* ....Don't have.....opportunity to talk more now, though. We need to.....move on, before soldiers can......cause us trouble. Let us get ready to go, my friend."
Unless the boy has anything else to say, that should be the end of the conversation! A slight downer for them both, since Terra liked learning more about the King's Era and its legends, while Nathan probably enjoyed learning what he could from them, and teaching the man stuff he didn't know before, but the show must go on!

Though if you find the post where you handed them and link it, we can edit that.)
Humm, how Heart insists that he has handed her some raw material for these special tags causes Shiva to rummage through all her stuff, pulling out the large things from her backpack and carefully checking all the boxes and bag with smaller things. Cottonee is eager to 'help' and checks out everything she likes, like that fluff she shed, this Destiny Knot and used TM of her newest move.
Eventually she has to shake her head to the PUNisher. "N-no, I'm sorry - I can't find them, I likely would have known where I've put these raw materials if you'd have given them to me. Maybe you still have them by yourself?..." *takes the papers with the written symbols anyway and gazes at them with fascination* "I happily take these if you want me to, thank you!~ Will take good care of these pages." Once she has made a small note who, when and where has found these symbols Shiva stores the pages away into her own star-patterned hardcover journal and begins to pack all her stuff back again.
(I'm taking these symbols as the true name of a Pokemon Spirit, what it reads and what kind of spirit doesn't really matter at the moment unless it's a special one [then I'd like to know] - it will do though when we get to crafting a Cleanse Tag.)

Shiva find herself gazing curiously at that textbook, she carefully attempts to read the title and/or get an discreet insight what sort of book that is. A bit too timid to just ask though! Though she instantly likes it, reminds her a tad bit on that large book full of info she has brought from home.
"Uh, planters...." *thoughtful expression before lighting up with a small smile* "I think so." Once again she begins to rummage through all her stuff, shifts aside this and that while pulling out a boxes, bags and Pokeballs all filled with things. One of them contains utensils used for plant and herb care, from these Shiva selects a small black and shiny ceramic pot and hands it to him.

"Is.... is that one fine? You can have that one, really! Don't need it." ^^ After a small pause she speaks up once more. "But maybe, eh... If the plant grows many Eggs containing a Pumpkaboo, you'd be up to let me have one? Just one, these grassy ghosts are rather cute... The size is inheritable."

(By the way the textbook's title was mentioned here.)
"That'll work just fine." Spira gets some dirt from where he's standing and fills the pot and plants the seed in it and pours some water on it from a canteen. (@ Iron, roll for eggs please) "And sure, if it grows more than one I'll gladly give you an egg."
and a few other things Spira does before the group heads off:
-Teaches both Nubi and Luna Astonish for 10xp and 4xp, respectively. (If it's just the pokemon's xp required for move learning, otherwise just Luna learns the move.)
-Gives Toya the Charcoal that had been held by Hida.
-Adds "Planted Moonlight Seed" to inventory
