Easily. It also wouldn't be visible in the daytime.

Good to know that.  Nathan might ask Bill about this later.  Right now, he just wants to get away from this looted battlefield and back to the group.  It's not a place he wants to hang around for a long period of time by a long shot.

The Yanmega you encounter is normal size for a Yanmega - the gargantuan ones are from the Fossil era, but this one is still pretty big. Especially its jaws - they look so large he has an underbite, and he's flying around snapping up entire Pidgey and Venomoth from the field.

What Pokemon do you send out?

Go Toya! Toya is exerting his pressure, Yanmega's Will is halved!

"Let's fry this bug, Toya, use Fire Punch! But be wary, if it looks like it goes for Night Slash, counter with Disable!" (Battle Music) "Don't worry, if you get hurt real bad, I'll handle it."

Fire Punch:
Accuracy: Dex+Fight+Brawl (13D6)
Damage: Strength+3+Charcoal (7D6)
Effect: 1CD to burn, Fist based.

*If Yanmega uses Night Slash*
Disable:
Accuracy: Dex+Fight+Channel (Replaced by Canalize?) 11D6
Damage:--
Effect: Target cannot use the last move it performed (in this case, Night Slash) for 4 rounds

Mechanics: If Toya's health gets to 4 or lower Spira will use a Potion on him.

Channel is a word from the newer edition, make sure you aren't using the wrong rulebook. Channel is the same exact thing as Canalize though.

This also would have been a good chance to use at least 3 actions. With 13 dice you could have done 10/9/8 actions and still had excellent chances to crit.

Yanmega Round 1

Yanmega's huge jaws stretch out as if springloaded. They snatch up a whole line of smaller bugs and a few leaves and things too! Just an indiscriminate scarfing down of biomass.

Stockpile 1
5 Dex + 4 Fight + 1 -4 actions = 6d6
(4)(5)(3)(6)(5)(5)
+1 Def for Yanmega

Fire Punch 1
(4)(3)(3)(6)(6)(6) (3)(3)(3)(5)(4)(6) (1) Critical hit!
9 dice after crit, -5* defense = 4d6+1 Super Effective
(6)(2)(1)(6) Yanmega takes 3 dmg 7/10hp -1 pain
CD: (1) No burn.

Swallow 2
(2)(6)(5)(5)
Yanmega gained 2hp 9/10hp.
-1 Def as he swallows his stockpiled mass!

Stockpile 3
(4)(4)(2)(6)
+1 Def

Then he flies over Dusknoir and his jaws glow with black light. He chomps down hard on Dusknoir, who shudders in pain as night eliminates shadow.

Crunch 4
Has 2 extra Brawl dice compared to Canalize, so that's 5 dice.
(2)(3)(2)(5)(3)
5 Str + 3 power -5 vitality = 3d6+1
(4)(5)(1) Toya takes 3 lethal dmg 9/12 hp -1 pain.
CD: (2)

Toya is caught up in the Yanmega's oversized jaws and shaken back and forth as if by a terrier. If that Lethal damage isn't healed with a Medicine check or a few Potions, he'll continue taking damage over time until he returns to the spirit world permanently.

"All right you over-sized bug, you've pissed me off!" "Toya, shove two Fire Punches down its throat, and don't hold back! Then follow that up with a Thunder Punch! If that doesn't faint it, use Ice Punch! Your orders on Night Slash change; use Disable if it tries Crunch again"
Spira decides to use a Potion on Toya, removing pain and bringing him back to full health!
Fire Punch x2:
12/11 D6 Accuracy; (Dex+Fight+Brawl; multiple actions)
Damage 7D6
Notes: 1CD Burn each, done while the Yanmega has a hold on Toya; down its throat.

Thunder Punch:
10D6 Acuracy; (Dex+Fight+Brawl-multiple actions)
Damage: 6D6
Notes 1CD Paralysis

*Only used if Yanmega hasn't fainted*
Ice Punch:
9D6 Accuracy
Damage: 6D6
Notes: 1CD Freeze

*If Yanmega uses Crunch again*
Disable
11D6 Base accuracy
Effect: Disables Crunch for 4 rounds

It leaves a trail of shiny scales, and it appears to have collected some of those scales for safekeeping inside its shell. Two valuable faceted sapphires have been used to plug two of its holes, and the smell of very old fermented Berry Juice is emanating from it. It looks like this Shuckle once had a wealthy owner, but it's obviously been feral for quite some time.

When her gaze met the source of her tripping Shiva has to hold back an amazed and postively astonished gaze - another shiny Pokemon after that Frillish, this time even one of a species she's interested in keeping if she makes it to register it to her ID and OT!~ Smiling delightfully to herself she'd guess that a Shuckle would go well with her liking of Berries and natural healing. The smell of very old fermented Berry Juice coming from this Shuckle is quite invigorating and enjoyable to her.

Asking the family of Eevee and Dizzy to stay calm and not attack until she says so, she rummages a little in her bag before drawing a handful of dried berries and one fresh Nanab Berry from it an carefully offering it to this special creature. "Well, hello you... I'm sorry if I disturbed you. No, I'm not up for battling you unless you want to. Want some of these instead? They're sweet and tasty! I can smell you've already stored some, but there's nothing wrong with keeping some extra for poor times. But, tell me.. What is a special Pokemon like doing at such an hour here, shouldn't you enjoy some rest under the rocks? Your sapphires are also very beautiful, I bet you're proud of them." ^_^

EDIT: Added the shrine of Groudon's vengefulness.

Yanmega Round 2

Chew chew chew.
Crunch 1
12 dice -4 actions = 8d6
(4)(6)(4)(4)(5)(3) (4)(3) Critical hit.
(3)(3)(3)(2)(4) Dusknoir takes 2 dmg 8/10hp -1 pain.

If you have 13 dice, and you're using 4 actions, you start by subtracting the number of actions. That gives you 9 dice for your first attack.
Then you get one less for every additional action.

For disable, that will be 11 dice -4 = 7d6, then 8d6 for the Fire Punch afterward. And -1 pain on each.

Disable 1
(4)(1)(1)(6)(3)(1)
Yanmega's Crunch was disabled!!

The dark light fades, and it becomes a much buggier attack.

Bug Bite 2
(1)(4)(3)(2)(1)(3) (6) It barely even affects Dusknoir.
5 Str +2 str -5 vit = 2d6-1
(3)(3) no damage.

Fire Punch 2
-1 pain = 7d6 accuracy.
(2)(4)(6)(4)(2) (5)(4) Critical hit!
(5)(3)(1)(5) Yanmega takes 3 dmg 7/10hp -1 pain
Burn: (5)

Dusknoir gets his hands down Yanmega's throat and starts trying to pull the mighty jaws apart, but with all the extra strength of Stockpile it's not working very well. It's still hurting the giant dragonfly, though, and Dusknoir wriggles free.

The dragonfly immediately pursues.
Pursuit 3
(6)(4)(2)(6)(2)
(6)(1) Dusknoir takes 2 dmg 6/10hp -1 pain

Thunder Punch 3
(2)(5)(3)(1)(3)(2)
(5) Yanmega takes 2 dmg 5/10hp -2 pain
CD: (4)

Yanmega darts away just as stony artifacts arise from the ground to clamp around Dusknoir! Engravings of long-dead kings jut out from their resting places, and Yanmega becomes faster and stronger in this area which was once the seat of their power.

Ancient Power 4
(6)
(3)(5) Dusknoir takes 1 dmg 5/10hp -2 pain
CD: (6) +1 to all stats for Yanmega!

Ice Punch 4
(3)(3)(5)(1)
(2) Yanmega takes 1 dmg 4/10hp -2 pain.
CD: (6) Ice forms along the dragonfly's wings and he crashes to the ground even as he absorbs the Ancient Power! Yanmega was frozen.
