- From what I am reading, you're mostly interested in taking on Encounter No.1 (that hard[?]*Hitmonlee messing with King Sarimanok's side) but wish for aid, @Lord Windos? Please allow me to be the one to help then, I'm ALL up to join you in this if you're okay, Pokemon fighting for will either be Raphael or Delphox, or if allowed and doable in this scene (@Iron?), both of them. If not, it'll be Raphael.
EDIT: Or how about Nightshade? This would mean giving up on dealing SE-damage for the advantage of Flower Gift Ability for us.

Saving Farfetch'd WOULD be fairly honorable/heroic, and unlike fighting either Hitmonlee or a Western Soldier you are NOT automatically more liable to get Lethal Moves thrown your way. Its just not as notable as those options, but sometime being a good guy doesn't involve notoriety or fame....

If you are willing to risk your Pokemon getting Blaze Kicked and/or HJK into a fine thin gruel, I'd be happy to share the Encounter with you! Preferably, I'd like it if Raphael/Delphox join up with Terra/anyone else, as using Nightshade's Sunny Day could invariably power up/incentivize the coup counter to use Blaze Kick (If it has it). That, and Raphael has Encore, Charm, Yawn....all sorts of debilitating Moves, and its typing combo leave it relatively impervious to HJKs or the like, so their probably the best Pokemon to bring against them.

 Of course, since it has been directly stated that its been remove Items or batting them away from opponents, it probably has either Thief or Knock Off in its arsenal (or Pursuit since that's an possible Egg Move), so Delphox's AND Charcoal could be jeapordy. Maybe Bullet Punch too, since that is on its Egg Move list, so Fairy types beware too!

However, I want to see if either Mika or Spirt want to take on Hitmonlee than lay claim on it just yet, since they have Ghost types that can negate its Fighting type, and its forced to resort to less powerful Moves. Heck, Spira's Dusknior can end up Disabling those too, so they perhaps have the great and safest odds of success on them.

I would agree to that, but it does not change what I wish to do - to say it blatantly, it's simply 'not enough for me' or doesn't fulfill me that much like going for Hitmonlee or someone from the opponent's side.

Still waiting on what Heart is gonna do and what Iron's response to my newest question is.

Given that A-Marowak is tied to passing a semi-difficult Dex check, we might have to see who passes it out of everyone who wants it before we can pick encounters.

Yes, I am willing to take that risk - I'll just HOPE that things won't go bad or start backfirering full force. But thank you, thank you so much for giving me the opportunity! *instantly cuddles* It'll be Delphox and Raphael or only Raphael if there's not enough room for using two Pokemon. Which one's would you send out then if you're okay with stating here already?

Mika already shared a desire to go for the Alolan Marowak+friends, which leaves only @Spiritmon now... Please, allow me to fight against that nasty Hitmonlee by Terra's side for the sake of Shiva able to display unexpected bravery and boldness! >< Tired or running away or being in the background.

Let's see, I'm not interested in the Encounters that require successfull dodging the battlezone (No. 7 onwards) because I don't want to run away from things in this particular situation, nor in the *Farfetch'd or the Trainer Supplies as taking them goes against my desire to have Shiva do something honorable and heroic. Which practically only leaves two options:

- If not, finding a free Rapidash and engaging in a 1vs1 against someone in the Western Plains (Encounter No.3) would be it. Shiva knows how to ride Pokemon and is willing to swallow her fear here in order to be recognized and honored or so. She'll definitely fight for King Sarimanok's side as everythingelse is a horrible idea. This will bring some mechanical questions from my side:

- Is Raphael possible to be the one fighting for my side? He may not be able to 'ride' Rapidash with me but could hover above me or so. I'd really would like to have a dramatic battle with him that'll hopefully strengthen the bond between him and Shiva if all goes well, and the Pokemon for the 1vs1 needs to be a versatile fighter, minimum 8HP, worth of gaining a good amount of XP (a Fairy Type move for Raphael!!), trust and listen to Shiva, be a member of Fairy Type at best, and optimally having a way to heal suffered damage+boost+deal lethal damage. If not, I'd lean into choosing Azu.

- Would Shiva even be allowed to battle as a female? I hope so.

You can send out two Pokemon in these battles, so you can use Raphael and Delphox both.
A flying Pokemon works fine for the 1v1.
You see other female soldiers in the battle.

Question, @Iron: if we 'pass' the Dex check with 2+ successes, do we still have the option of picking an encounter from the first 6 options?  And if we fail that check, am I understanding the wording correctly when it implies that we have to take an encounter from the first 6 options?

If you pass the Dex check, you can do anything on the list requiring that amount or lower.

If you fail to get out of the heat of the battle, they kind of become mandatory in that you have to deal with something or other inside the battle. Or I'll roll up something random instead if you prefer.

I'm likely to bring either Anubi or Lapis Lazuli against them, since sending out a Normal type is pure idoicy , Shiranui's half Fainted from being nomed on by Mawile, and Melly can't really leverage their power against them fully. 

....Uh, dear, neither you nor Shiva have really been ignored to the point of being background characters, and she's done plenty of brave things as of late (Such as the Rhydon Rescue or Exploring Sammy's Camp), so I believe you don't have much to worry about that happening. If you want to share an Encounter with me for its own shake or getting a chuck of the sweet, sweet XP, I can more than understand, but I don't think Shiva NOT taking this Encounter would be detrimental to her self worth. Heck, going to help Farfetch'd or escaping would be more in line with her character,  but since you've clearly stated you wish for her to start doing bigger and bolder things.....well, a war zone is a pretty epic way to start on that!

I don't want to spend Will Points on escaping an Encounter, and with Terra's low DEX its a gamble trying to get at the Western Leader, so count me out of those Rolls Iron. I'll just make do with the options below the cut off.
