No Dex Check from my side needed as Encounter No.1 will most likely be it. Am I right in the assumption that this *Hitmonlee is fighting for the Western Plains = Against King Sarimanok at all, Iron? This is what makes me interested in taking it out as well, from the look of it it is only going for soldiers on Rapidash = King Sarimanok's soldiers.

I'm definitely going to want a Dex check, but I kinda want to wait and see which encounter @Spiritmon wants to take first before determining if I want to spend a Will point on it or not.

How about you, @Mikaruge108?  You need to get 3+ successes to be able to reach A-Marowak.  Spending 1 Will will add 1 guaranteed success to the check if you want to make it slightly easier to pass.

Given that it was described as only messing with soldiers fighting on/with Rapidash and is using a fighting technique used by Native Americans, I imagine Hitmonlee is indeed fighting for the western plains army.

Even though Spira has pretty good dex (4 dex) I think I'll have Spira stock up on items although I'm a little wary of the challenge there.

I'm likely to bring either Anubi or Lapis Lazuli against them, since sending out a Normal type is pure idoicy , Shiranui's half Fainted from being nomed on by Mawile, and Melly can't really leverage their power against them fully. 

....Uh, dear, neither you nor Shiva have really been ignored to the point of being background characters, and she's done plenty of brave things as of late (Such as the Rhydon Rescue or Exploring Sammy's Camp), so I believe you don't have much to worry about that happening. If you want to share an Encounter with me for its own shake or getting a chuck of the sweet, sweet XP, I can more than understand, but I don't think Shiva NOT taking this Encounter would be detrimental to her self worth. Heck, going to help Farfetch'd or escaping would be more in line with her character,  but since you've clearly stated you wish for her to start doing bigger and bolder things.....well, a war zone is a pretty epic way to start on that!

Though Anubi's still disobediant, isn't he...? On the other hand him engaging in such a dramatic battle could be a great bonding experience if he makes it to win, and he's having lots of good moves on its own.

Oh, eh, I meant these words of being of running away/being in the background more in- than outta-chara. Escaping this whole scene or saving a Pokemon instead would be a little more up her ally and personality indeed, but this time she simply does not want to get away from things but instead deal with things directly. So in some way, yes, she's in the middle of a Hero's Journey in order to become more resilient and self-confident and HAS to start engaging in bigger and bolder things at some point. Her Stats in Battling are mostly completed and some of her Pokemon are by now anything but weak. Plus, I wish to strengthen the bond between Shiva and Raphael and work towards she and Terra becoming good friends or just friends, a war zone and a dramatic battle are indeed fine opportunity for that. Sharing Encounters with you is pretty fun as well!

Do you want to take a flat Dex check anyways without spending any Will just to see if you can possibly reach A-Marowak, then?  It's semi-difficult for someone with 4 Dex, yes, but doing the check itself costs nothing if you're not spending any Will to better the odds of succeeding. Pass or fail, the only 'bad' thing that could happen is you have no choice but to pick from the first 6 encounters listed.
