[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

(was wanting a little more info on the lizard poke {mainly what pokemon it is} before saying anything, but I'll describe what happened to Toya thanks to Jirachi)

Toya pops out of his pokeball and when the tag touches him, his arms get more muscular. Awesome. "Wow. Never seen anything like that before." Spira says as Toya flexes his new-found muscles.

All around you, the ancient Pokemon are receiving gifts - new types, new environs, new abilities. And when you and your Pokemon reach out to claim wishes of your own, you become something more than you were as well. Here at the start of the Millennium Comet cycle, you and your Pokemon partake in the blessing of specialization, of renewal, which marks the first major meteor event beginning the thousand year cycle.

Calam gains Fairy as a third type. This can be removed in the same way as Trick-Or-Treat, but it's otherwise permanent. He gains 1 Happiness and Loyalty. You may also choose a Fairy-type move for him right now - if this unlocks some awesome combo, get GM approval first. When Calam is out, Fairy types will appear more frequently in the wild. Calam's affinity for Earthpower increases.

LURCH.

Jirachi seems to be immune to the threads in a way Deoxys was not. However, there are threads linking to Shieldon, Bastiodon, and a strange little lizardlike Pokemon you're not familiar with.

Given that Nathan knows there's a relation between the increased type diversity and a meteor impact, and also seeing that any pokemon that grab the slips are being altered in varying ways, he's actually able to hypothesize IC that Jirachi was the cause of that increased diversity! (Partially because that was also my OOC hypothesis during the whole thing)  Wow, what a discovery!

But it's not Nathan that grabs one of Jirachi's Wish Tags.

It's Calam.  He's...drawn to one of them in particular, I guess you could say.  And Nathan is entirely unsurprised when Calam's features shift ever so slightly to reflect the new Fairylike traits gained from taking hold of a Fairy Wish Tag.  A Dark type that doesn't mind being around Fairies like Kirlia, has the talent and knowhow to use a select few mystical moves his species is normally unable to so long as the conditions are right...

It's all unsurprising to Nathan in hindsight.  There's much wonder and relief as well, but Nathan's looking at much of this from a more analytical viewpoint.

Of course, he's still very happy to see Calam grow ever stronger.  It feels like only just yesterday that they first met, and now they're here...introducing Calam to his mom and all his other pokemon friends, surviving dangerous battles with humans and Legends alike, seeing many things together that neither of them had likely ever expected to see in their lifetimes...being through thick and thin has really brought them closer together, hasn't it?  (OOC: Calam now has 4 Happiness and 5 Loyalty!  Woohoo!)

Nathan's right by Calam's side the whole time, as is Gallade.  "Told ya we'd get through that Deoxys situation somehow, Calam.  *chuckle*  Thanks for trusting me on that one.  I think it helped Dizzy calm down as well."

Speaking of Calam, a description of his newound Fairy affinity:

- His physical appearance hasn't changed much at all.  The new type is mostly exaggerating some of his existing traits rather than creating new ones.  Some examples include his naturally mischievous tendency to unnerve people with his wicked looking scar, or his odd behavior of getting along with Fairies such as Kirlia despite being at a distinct disadvantage against them in battle.

What has changed about his physical appearance though is...well, his horn is glowing slightly now!  It's not a bright light, but it's noticeable if you know what to look for.

- Calam looks skyward during the process of these changes.  He's not looking at Jirachi, though.

He's looking at the moon.

He's always been in tune with the more powerful, hidden powers of nature.  Always had an affinity for Earthpower, fine tuned with who knows how much experience.  He was only ever able to take advantage of it in particularly powerful spots, however.

Now, though...

...he not only feels more in tune with Earthpower.  Now he feels like he can use some of it any time he wishes.  And as he realizes that...

There's a brilliant burst of light from his body.  A stark contrast to the dark powers Cottonee can now wield.  What appears to be a pair of wings made of moonlight (similar in shape to a Mega Absol's) have sprouted from Calam's back...before they then coalesce with the now brighter light of his horn into a single blast of moonlight powered energy and rocket forwards into the night...seems he's now able to directly utilize some of the moon's natural energy to spectacular effect...

Calam has learned Moonblast. He's also now able to use Moonlight at any time instead of just at spots with a large concentration of Earthpower.

When the lurch yanks everyone away from this important moment in history, Nathan's a little surprised to see a few pokemon linked via threads.  They weren't even there for 10 minutes and some connections were made?!

A Shieldon, a Bastiodon, and a...which pokemon was that again?  Nathan doesn't recognize it...wait a second...

He DOES recognize it!

In fact, he's probably the only person in the group who would because he's technically seen it before!

This is too good an opportunity to pass up.  That mystery lizardlike 'mon is coming along for sure, and Nathan definitely intends to capture it!  The Shieldon and Bastiodon will be coming along as well, because why not?  Nathan's certain all 3 pokemon will find a good home with a nice trainer, so he has no qualms with doing this!

You lurch forward in time, closer to the present, dragging living fossils with you.

You appear just southwest of a modern road. In the dim morning, the streetlights are still lit. They're housed in chrome, much flashier than the modern ones. Low bodied automobiles are visible along the road, and one drives past you at high speed. Cars were more popular in the decades before the modern PC system, because journeying as a trainer was less about encountering large quantities of wild Pokemon and more about hitting up the right battles and trainings with your reliable team of six.

An unfortunate observation is the amount of trash dumped at the side of the road. As people leave the strict enforcement of Cress City, they certainly battle more, but they also worry less about the beauty of their environment. The roadside is littered with abandoned appliances, especially a large number of black and white TVs. A few stoves, a lawnmower, a washing machine, lots of lights, broken bottles, old toys. All the appliances are very heavy on chrome.

Across the road is a neon-and-chrome diner. Signs proclaim it to be "Mamoswine Diner" and "The best lunch you've ever eaten" and "Breakfast served all day." It looks busy, and it's very large - able to accommodate a lot of people and Pokemon.

You feel well rested. Encounters refresh and you gain a Will point. The moon is Day 69 for Ditto purposes.

When Heart and everyone escape from that timeline with Deoyx invading the earth, Heart was both scared and relief. Scared because of returning such dark place. But then, they see another meteor coming to the earth. Heart flinch in fear. Then his fear became a look of impress. Jirachi appearance make Heart look at him like a child seeing a shooting star. He see the wild pokemon, and his friends getting wishes. Heart seeing one stone flying at him and he wish with all of his soul to become stronger and stronger. He know the dead cant be bring back. This is one of the limitations of Jirachi. Instead, Heart wish to other thing. He know he cant change the past, but he can make a future. A future of hope and peace. A future where his clan exist, and a clan he wish to be more wise. 

"I wish to be strong as my ancestor Ark the Master of Flames. I wish to be someone who can fight the ghosts of my past. Someone who can carve my own path. But I dont want to be remember as a hero. Not someone as a Legendary Knight as Ark. But just a person and a human. And more important, a friend. I want to be a better person, and pay for the sins I commited in my life. And more importantly: I want be someone capable of sacrifice my own for the persons I consider more important: Nathan, Shiva, Terra and Ventus. And for all my pokemons: Gustav, Patrat, Koa, Typhon, Viktor, Atlas, Percival, Caesar, Netune, all my pokemons...but more importantly, my dear friend...the pokemon who always stay with me since the very begining...Rose."


I dont want to be remember as a Heart the Knight. But Heart the PUNisher!

Heart then take the star wish in his hands. Then golden and crimson flames came from his hand. That flames then came from many colors to represent the colors the fire have: Green, yellow, red, blue and finally a orange crimson. Other colors came and forth, with the same speed they come. His arms was engulf with that flames, but they did not hurt at all. It was almost like that power was always with him, the flames of his soul. The flames all the ArcHearts once have in their souls and hearts. Heart could feel something grew inside of him. Those flames colors change all the time the colors, and he could see visions. Others of his ancestors, the knights and ArcHearts of the past. A long lineage, a history of thousands of years. Then he could see: The great knight Ark, looking at him. She show hand of flames, like a torch gave foward. The first ArcHeart meet the last one. She then his chest, and a new symbol came come from the place.



"A heart filled with courage is like a Phoenix that no cage can imprison. Be strong of your path."

And with that the transformation have completed at the same time he and the other go in another lurch though time. Heart hit the ground hard. His body pass though a transformation: His arms have fire tattoo likes styles in both of his arms. His hair have some locks with a black scheme of red color. And a fire heart symbol was in his chest, looking to some kind of scar. Heart stand up and finally speak.

"Urgh man...by the beard of my grandfather, what the hell just happened." Heart stand up and little by little he open his eyes and his companions could see his now amber eyes in his face, with colors similar to embers. "Anyone write the number of the Rhyhorn who hit me or what?"

And with that I finish Heart reaction! Almost ready to choose the encounters!

Oh, I meant to give everyone XP during the Jirachi encounter/escaping Deoxys and forgot. Take 25XP, everyone! You can use this to help solidify Jirachi's gifts mechanically - level up your attributes to take advantage of your new abilities, perhaps.

"Mmmm.....Deoxys........Jirachi......? Power.......? Hrggm.....feel very strange now......but not......bad? More.......sturdy? En.....enlightened? Hrggmmm.......hard to....understand....head feels.......fuzzy. Need to......clear it, get better quick..."

Terra mumbles this under his breath as he slowly snapped out of his post hypnotic daze, clutching his head with one hand, shaking it, while his other dangled by his side like a wet noodle, his knuckles newly metallic status escaping his notice. After his Contact with the Mythical Space Alien Deoxys, the sagely monk had been in a torpor like state as his 'feeble' mind coped to understand it and its plans. This state was only compounded by his subsequent LURCH! through space/time to a point even FURTHER into Cheshire's ancient past and witnessing the coming of Jirachi itself and the almighty power it spread among everyone and thing. 

The end result of both event had left the man in a mostly unresponsive and inactive state, only for it to be broken the semi-conscious action of snapping one of the wishmaker's tailsmen out of the air and becoming more empowered by it and the group's latest trip to the Chrome Age. Now that the he and the group were both out of dangerous and/or fantastical situations and in a safe, more modern age, the steely brawler could began to recover and digest all that's happened. 

Once he began to feel a little better and like himself, Terra took the time to quietly assess the era that the latest LURCH! dropped them in, taking in all the sights, sounds, and......Pokemon? At that point, he noticed what looked to be a BIG Steel plated dinosaur just.....ambling about the place, looking somewhat confused and disoriented itself at its new location in time. He's read about Dinosaur Pokemon in his youth in brief, so he was vaguely familar what it was. More over, he couldn't help but feel......drawn to it, like there was some sort of connection between him and the beast.

Before he went off to confront it , though, he first checked on everyone, still looking distinctly frazzled and unstoic from everything that has happened.

"Everyone.....are you okay? *Looks at them closely* ....You are. Good, good..... Urgh......all that was.....crazy. Weird. Don't......remember much of what happened, after the.......Lights. They were so......pretty And.......Deoxys.......Deoxys. Need to.....talk about them with you. What I......learned from it, and........urgh. Not now. Give me......more time to clear head, and feel more normal again. Hmm.....maybe battling that dinosaur will do that......?"

With that said, the rugged wanderer just......well, wanders off towards the Steely Sapient Shield in an absent minded manner, plucking off Angie's Pokeball of his belt and hefting it into the air a few times. Looks like he's still a little out of it, eh? Maybe Nathan/Gallade/Shiva could tell exactly what's up with them, though?

Order: Terra's going to check on everyone, bring up the fact he wants to talk about what happened with Deoxys later, before ambling off to fight Bastidon with Angie! Additionally, I'll be using the 25 XP gained to raise both Terra's Vitality and Insight to *6 and 2 respectfully, leaving him with 2 XP. Now not only does he possess Lairon Abs and pecks of Steelix, but he's become a bit more thoughtful about everything too from his trips through time! Hot diggity dog!!! Any special mention/noticable qualities about reaching *6 Vitality, Iron?

At this point, Terra is more SOLID within the world, just as Nathan is more fluid within it. Whenever Terra takes a step, the ground in his footprint moves downward more than you'd expect, as if he's pushing on the earth more than it's pushing on him. When it rains, the raindrops ricochet off as if they've struck stone instead of flesh. When the wind blows, as it's doing now, Terra has no need to lean into the wind.
