Quote:Deoxys? Holy Totodile, that's a story and a half there. I can't wait to hear more, and I'm glad you're out of that ice age where the PTC had no reason to work. Chrome Age? Be sure to check out Botanville - they're building a gigantic early PC system right now, if you're in at least 1960.

Jungore's existence was known already, but it's been thought extinct for 400 years, and as far as we know there's never been a breeding population in Creshire, ever. I would not show it off.

Bill sends Meowth as well. Your Meowth is always into traveling, and it's probably been very very impatient inside the PC!

Shiva's following the news more secondarily than attentively as it's more interesting for her to interact with her Pokemon, but she certainly does pick up on the date: With delight and newly-arisen eager thanks to the realization that they're coming closer to returning to 2017, she goes back to following her own business. None seems to mind that she's having several Pokemon out, in fact she soon recognizes the diner as very Pokemon-friendly. Aww!

The sensation that Nightshade is on a good way to develop an Egg containing a smol Cherubi was QUITE a suprise for Shiva, especially since she can't remember leaving her at the Daycare nor even bringing her close to a matching male breeding partner. Eh... She'd either assume asexual reproduction, gathered and concentrated energy from the sun + earthpower or something having to do with the latest happenings as the suspected reasons, but she's way more delighted over this than she is wondering how it got there. She can't help but to envelop her dear sunbringer into a close hug.♡

Or maybe Spira/@Mikaruge108 has any ideas as he's having more practical experience in Pokemon Breeding, Shiva will greet and wave him over to her table once he arrives at the diner. (Which he said he would as soon as being done with dumpster-diving.)

---------------------------------

2xp for Primal Glaceon as the Lucky Eggs I asked Keni's dad for grant a bonus on Training ROLLS but not SESSIONS (proof). Am I right in the assumption that there's no upward limit or border how many XP a Pokemon can collect in total? It's my Pokemon, so it should be under my discretion what to do with the XP it gathers.

Cherrim's Egg is a result of happenings in Celebi Park : )

I see no reason to cap XP, no. Some very expensive surprises might require vast caches of XP.

She makes room for him at her table and continues nomming the ordered breakfast menu with delight while he talks. What a neat coincidence, among the first things she'd ask Spira was how the Midnight Seed was doing - if he allows, she'd pat him on the shoulder for the partial success. "So...? Great to hear!~ Even tiny seeds are living things, if cared for well it'll - hopefully - grow many neat Eggs of Pumpkaboos."

When being asked whether there was anything strange concerning the conception of the Egg Nightshade's developing, Shiva gets quite the puzzled expression and shrugs rather innocently. " Nope. I haven't brought her close to a member of the Fairy or Grass Egg Group lately, Cottonee here is female. Maybe that's something unique in the reproduction of certain Grass Types or the Cherubi Line, or she got cross-pollinated without me noticing. No idea... Have you ever heard of such a thing?" *curious staring at him since he has lots of practical experience in Pokemon Breeding, or so she assumes*

Cool. Maybe Shiva will cotton on on that in-chara as well after a while.

Heart pat the head of Meowth. "I can understand that feeling my friend. But we have been traveling in sons crazy adventures my friend. And pretty dangerous too." Heart let Meowth be in Heart shoulder and meet the others members. "Hey Terra. Nathan. How the have going?" Heart then noticed the golden Pokemon. When he say it was a Tandor Pokemon Heart make a face of remember info. "Jungore huh? I have heard about that Pokemon in some notes of mine, but I never make a deep study about him. That's why I didn't remember the name. Its a nice and strong find Nats. Take care of him."

"Good news it's the encounter with Shieldon work very well. Me and Rose get a good battle to our side. I guess Jirachi bless not only change my appearance and gave some abilities...."Heart then snap his fingers to show Nathan/@Dragonstrike and Terra/@Lord Windos his fire trick. "...but also increase the power of her fire skills." To show that Rose shoot some embers more stronger than normal. "I think the elemental affinity in humans the power of certain types of moves in Pokemons in their care. Its almost like she is using a Charcoal to summon her powers."

*Flashback(s)/Flashforward(s)!*

Terra carefully listened to Nathan's own assessment on Bastiodon and what to do with the dino, arms crossed and him leaning in with keen attentiveness. When they finished, he spent about a half minute mulling the whole matter over with eyes closed and plenty of beard stroking, until finally he looked back to the boy and gave a definitive nod.

"Hm......okay. I will keep Bastiodon. A Pokemon very strong in Fighting AND Defending too good to sell, and can think of other ways to use his Strengths. You are right too, I think. Do feel connection, and now.....now I want to be great friends and partners with him. *Smiles* Thank you for helping me, Nathan."

Immediately afterwards a dull look of realization popped up onto the sagely monk's face, before he gave the clever trainer a mildly curious tilt of his head.

"You said you saw.....the threads tieing me, Bastiodon, and.....Shieldon together, yes? What about....Jungore? Who was he tied too?"

By this point, he's still staring at the resplendent reptile with naked wonder, with his hands twitching by his side, as if they wanted to reach out and inspect it themselves to see if they were truly partially made out of gold. He was snapped out of it by Nathan's exasperated? sigh, however, and their subsequent explanation proved to be both enlightening and distressing.

"......Ah. ......That is.....not good. Not good at all. Pokemon.....they shouldn't be treated like that. Ever. They are.....like us, and other Pokemon. All have.....equal right to live happy and how they want to, and nobody should take that away so.....so easilyGreedily. Harmfully. *Shakes head* It is....shameful, and.....not right. ..........Sorry. Should not have made.....big deal of Jungore. That was......very rude of me."

The Steely brawler looked much less enthused now with himself, a frown tugging at his lips as he glanced downwards at his feet. Well, now he feels like a total bastard for his mercantile reaction....

(...)

"Oh.....yes, I was. Hm....not now. Want to.....share it with everyone, some place......quit and safe. Don't want to.....leave them out, or....cause problems with story."

Cue Gallade going off to fetch everyone, the group goes somewhere private, and then Terra, after collecting himself and taking a deep, steadying breath, began his tale. For expediency's shake and the fact my mood for story telling isn't all that high right now, he pretty much gives his own recount of this post , including his own observations into the Deoxys' communication network, their odd, alien, yet VERY deliberate intelligence, curiosity, and sense of Purpose they/it shared/had, the basic points, and anything else he can think of now (Since he as 2 Insight, any other details he might understand/realize now?). Up until now he's been recounting everything with a calm, ponderous tone, but when it comes time to talk about the......exchange he had with the supervirus alien, his expression suddenly shifted into one of marked discomfort, the mountain of a man's previously stoic expression now scrunched up like he bit into an extremely sour berry.

".........Last, Deoxys.....it.......it did something to me. Took.......bit of Knowledge from head, and.......gave a......hrrn. Don't know what it is, but every time I think about it......hrrn.......makes me feel weird. Not bad.....but not good either. Try not to think about it, ignore it.....but I know it is there.."

If the very though of.....whatever Deoxys gave Terra unnerved and discomforted him to this extent, let alone its mere mention......yikes, that some serious juju right there.

".....Do you understand, my friends? All that I said, and......about Deoxys? *Shakes head*....Don't think it was a bad Pokemon, but......only that it had own goals it put.....above all else. What do you think?"

He ends his story with a couple of simple questions, recrossing his arms and giving everyone plenty of time to think about the issue. Maybe together, they'd be able to find out more about the jello mold from outer space, or at least solidify what little they learnt of it.

"Good. Feel better now. Caught Bastiodon, and have decided we will be partners for now on. You?"

The rare collector's and Rose's burst of flames provoked a rather odd reaction from Terra, as he momentarily flinched back and shied away from the conjured flame , as if by instinct, before he blinked and shook his head, regaining control of himself, curiosity and wonder now his predominant emotions. Hmm.....

"Wow....... Your Fire types will be super powerful now, and can make fire yourself. Very......cool."

Unlike Heart, Terra's more or less completely oblivious to the exact details of his new More Than Human 2X condition, other than he feels tougher, smarter, and more durable, due to those changes being subtle + him being in a trance/fugue state at the time all that happened, so he's more or less locked out of the loop unless either Nathan or they clue him in. Everyone would certainly notice the effects of *6 Vitality, at the very least!

Going up to 2 Insight isn't enough to learn anything new about Deoxys, but what you do know becomes a little clearer and easier to understand.

Jungore was lightly threaded to Dusknoir and on to Spira, who is threaded to those of you who helped battle Electabuzz.

The diner is a classic shake joint from the 50's, except that it's quite a bit more massive! It has the standard checkerboard pattern, the red seats at the bar or booths, and chrome highlights on everything.

When you enter, a waitress in a blue skirt with icy trim says "Sit wherever you like, hon."

People are sitting around enjoying food from the menu. There's a jukebox in the corner shaped like a chrome Loudred. It's currently playing "Buneary Bop." There are lots of interesting characters in the diner: a man with a Hitmonchan taking notes on the stories he hears, a woman with a dreamy expression on her face soaking her hair in a mug of tea, a guy napping in the arms of an overgrown Jynx. One of the battle rooms is occupied by a guy and a gal who have strung up a volleyball net - they're playing a game with a very undersized smiling Wailmer as the ball.

The central bar holds two spinnable disks. One is for the waitstaff to pin up their food orders. The other is for battle matchups! Trainers are allowed to battle in the transparent rooms at the rear. "We're just far enough from Cress City that people enjoy battling again, hon."

It's still close enough to Cress City that writers and artists have congregated here to sketch and plot and daydream.

One TV is showing a Pokemon Surfing event, now in color!

One is showing local news - the giant cable connecting the Pokemon Storage Engines at Botanville and Stair City is down for maintenance...again. A dozen Machoke are hard at work clearing the area. This early PC system is little more than storage for Pokeballs and provides no environment of its own. The Pokemon contained within it in 1960 were programmatically ported to the Integrated Circuit Engine in 1978, which allowed any number of interfaces to connect and provide processing power, thus allowing environs and private machine connections for the first time in a PC system. Finally, those Pokemon were automatically ported to Bill's PC system when it was first adapted. So Pokemon with lifespans of 60+ years could have actually lived in each of the systems! The chubby guy sitting next to Shiva turns to her and says "Isn't technology, uh...incredible? I mean, I know it breaks down a lot, but the ability to store a living creature as a stream of electricity is amazing."

The final TV, a black and white one, shows a bit of soft news. It shows a toddler and a Baltoy playing together on a lawn. Nathan and any Medicine specialists would recognize that the Baltoy is wounded, having a severe smashed area on one side, but no one else seems to notice. The enigmatic Pokemon seems distracted from its play.
"This young man seems to have made a startling discovery! An ancient Pokemon found only in the dangerous Skull Ruins has surfaced at long last...for a playdate! What do you think of it, Mom?"
The camera pans, showing a young lady with a kind expression that reminds you of cookies and tea and homecooked meals. She's herding the toddler with her foot whenever he wanders too far with the Baltoy. "Oh, little Marco has always had a way with Pokemon, especially little lost Pokemon. They're always showing up, even when he was too young to walk! He likes to play doctor and pretend he's putting bandages on them, or making a Potion out of leaves! He says he is going to be the Champion when he grows up."
"That's very cute. Does he like Psychic types?"
"Yes - well, they seem to like him at least."
"Let's hope he doesn't get a visit from that so-called "alien Pokemon" who showed up in Charring Cross! Hahaha!"
"Hahaha! Yeah...we don't believe in LGMs either! Right Marco?" *gurgle*
"I'm not surprised...now over to Janet with a report on a waterskiing Pidgey!"

"Jungore?  To be honest, I didn't think about that much at the time...but now that I am, they were connected to...ummm...I think it was...Spira's Dusknoir...hmmm..."

Nathan thinks about what that means for a sec, and then realizes something.

"...oh!  So that's why there was a connection...interesting...veeeerrry interesting...I wonder if that means....hmmm...yes, it probably does..."  Heart's display is a momentary distraction, but he is interested to hear that Rose's Fire moves were more powerful than usual...

He nods after a little more thinking, then dumps his findings on Terra and Heart (@Spiritmon).  "I think Jirachi's Wish Tags might have made it more likely for pokemon with similar traits to show up.  Dusknoir was looking a little...burlier, so I guess he ended up grabbing a Fighting Wish Tag, and was thus loosely connected to any other pokemon that had grabbed the same kind of Wish Tag.  From what I can tell based on what you've described and your now literal steel knuckles, you grabbed a Steel Wish Tag, Terra.  That'd explain the connections to the Steel fossil pokemon.  No Fairy or Fire type Fossil pokemon as far as we know, though.  In any case, it's good to see what some of theeffects the Wish Tags had are sooner rather than later.  Just...try not to draw attention to the more...unusual traits the two of you now have if you can avoid it, alright? Humans haven't been granted this much power in a long, long time, so showing off those talents in the wrong time periods have a chance to create a paradox, I think. At least, I haven't heard of any recorded instances of any humans with traits comparable to Fire and Steel types..."

-----------------

At Terra's evaluation of Jungore's situation, Nathan nods solemnly.  His PTC dings at this point as well, indicating the trade from Bill has arrived.  He retrieves the nail and reads it...then puts it away.

"According to Bill, Jungore was officially recorded as having gone extinct around...1500 AD or so, around 400 years before the time we're currently in."  Nathan looks at Jungore.  "I'll have to keep ya balled once we head to some more public places, friend.  I'll make sure ya get some fresh air at the soonest opportunity, though, so don't worry about that, alright?"

Jungore still looks a little puzzled, I imagine.  But he probably doesn't have any major complaints either since he has 0 Disobedience.

Anyways, once that's taken care of...Nathan takes a deep breah...then lets it out.  "...it's okay, Terra.  Really.  Let's just try and make sure his species doesn't suffer the same fate again now that we have an opportunity, right?"

--------------------

(@PhantomUnderYourDesk, @Mikaruge108, and @Windos and Spirit too, of course)

Nathan listens to the whole story about Deoxys veeerrrry carefully once Gallade returns with Shiva and Spira and everyone's gathered in a sufficiently private spot away from the more populated locations.

"...so you're saying that Deoxys was trying to learn about its surroundings?  That was a rather...aggressive way to do so if that's the case...though I suppose nothing was stopping it from doing as it pleases if nothing on this planet could harm it at the time..."

Before Nathan ponders that further, Terra opens up about the...gift he received from Deoxys.

Gallade then taps on Nathan's shoulder, his thorough analysis complete.  Nathan turns to face Gallade.  "What'd ya find, buddy?"

Gallade proceeds to share the feelings he found with Nathan.  Nathan's expression is primarily...confused during the process.

Once the message has been delivered, Nathan turns back to everyone else.  "...so, Gallade definitely sensed...something in Terra.  I'm not really sure how to describe it other than it apparently felt...weird to Gallade.  Like nothing he and I have ever felt before.  Given we're dealing with an extraterrestrial pokemon...not surprising.  He also conveyed feelings of...protectivness and...tiredness?  Ummmm...I think that means he couldn't get much more than that...like it's...sleeping and protected...is that right, Gallade?"

Gallade nods.

"...hmmmm...I don't like this, to be honest...Deoxys might not necessarily be malicous, but...who kows if what it did is going to have any positive results?  I'm not sure if there's anything I can do about this right now...if anything changes, Terra, I'd like to know at the soonest opportunity, alright?"

(Haven't decided on an encounter yet, but there's definitely some stuff in here Nathan is going to react to!  Also, does anyone have any good ideas for music that would fit the title 'Buneary Bop'?  If the Jukebox is the UST, then we should definitely put the Buneary Bop in there!  I'm kinda strapped for ideas for once, though, tbh...)

Nathan looks kinda bored at first (unrelated note: he's still wearing his traveling cloak for the time being.  He's put the hood down now, though, and also isn't wearing his fedora at the moment. All of Nathan's pokemon besides Gallade have all been recalled by this point as well).  As much as it's great to finally, finally take a break from all the action, nothing in this diner seems to have struck him as interesting so far...and he's kinda uncertain if he's actually going to order/buy anything because he's not sure if he can convincingly disguise his future cash...(on that note, @Iron, is Spira's 20s cash any good at all in the future?)

He glances at the TVs every so often, though.  That Surfing Competition is mildly interesting, but not much more than that.  He does wonder if any of the competitors are using Mantine, though...Mantine Surfing is popular in Alola, after all...the general news about the PC maintenance happening again isn't really interesting to him at all, given he already knew how massive the first PC systems were.

And then he sees the Baltoy.

He thinks to himself, '...huh.  That Baltoy looks...injured.  Its side looks like it's seen better days...'

Then he hears it's from the Skull Ruins.  '...that's...odd...I mean, the Baltoy's not, but what in the Ruins would have done that to a Baltoy?  Whatever it was, it was enough to cause it to flee from its home...'

...and then he hears what the kid's name is, and that Psychic types apparently like him.

'...wait, what?'

...which is immediately followed by an apparent alien sighting in Charring Cross.

'...what?!'

Nathan almost exclaims that out loud instead of just thinking it, but doesn't through the sheer willpower of not wanting to cause an unnecessary ruckus.

Forget the waterskiing pidgey.

That might be Nathan's dad who's on TV right now (Given that Nathan looks a lot like his dad, does Nathan have any notable resemblances to toddler Marco and/or his mom that Nathan or the other party members would recognize, Iron?).  And Deoxys is apparently still around in 1960.  Not many Psychic type aliens that Nathan can name, after all.

Oh my.  This was not what I was expecting to find when we walked into this diner, to be honest...
