I, eh, am not quite sure whether the Trainer with his Hitmonchan mentions the things about Elgyem solely towards Nathan as he has talked with them before or towards all of us, in case it's the latter Shiva listens to him with interest and - maybe suprisingly, maybe not - with a good portion of silent awe and respect, as she has quite a good guess who this Trainer most likely was. What a honor to meet this guy in person!~ She's also aware about the rumors surrounding mysterious Elgyem due to her interest and affiniy in astrology, about how it is said to have its origin in a desert where an UFO has crashed 50 years ago - but she always thought that this desert was the desert north of her hometown and that Elgyem indeed has its origin in Unova! She doesn't doubt this special Psychic Pokemon's existence either and would kindly let this Trainer know that she does so with a soft smile.

Strengthened and with rekindled vigor thanks to the enjoyable stop-by at the diner (not to forget the good fries they serve here), Shiva mostly watches the sky as she journeys on with Primal Glaceon and Vaporeon siding her: This sudden lurch caught her off-guard for the n-th time, but upon 'landing' she didn't fall on her knees, only staggered and had to caugh a bit. Carefully looking up to see where they've landed this time, she has to hold back a loud gasp - these surroundings.... They're looking so familiar...! Could it be? Could it really be?! It COULD....! Rather hastily Shiva draws her cell to check the date it displays: Are they really back in 2017? She could kiss the ground if they are (not literally). She would also notice due to some of her carried occupied Pokeballs blinking, reminding her of having more than six Pokemon on hand.

Shiva's massively confused about what may be wrong with her usually loyal and reliable cell at fist, before an ominous feeling overtakes her: Not an outright 'bad' one, but more like one that makes her question whether they really are back in their time: Thanks to a kind stranger passing by, she received confirmation that they are not - or rather: Not yet.

A sharp and high-piched squeal escapes her upon Heart all suddenly hugging her, in her startle she failed to return it. Primal Glaceon hissed at the PUNisher for scaring his Master, just in case. Shiva felt sad and bad for having to crush Heart's joy and eager, she spoke up rather coyly and embarrassed after he has finished his dance: "H....Heart, I'm, well, sorry to say, but we're in 2014... Not yet home. Not yet...."

She's also somewhat wondering what may be the reason for them being here - she'd doubt that here's anything to do for Dizzy, but maybe Almanac is already existing. Just in case she now recalles Vaporeon and Primal Glaceon and summons Lilith to her side while Dizzy stays out as well naturally. She'd prefer to keep her current team of more than six Pokemon.

Shiva words was enough to Heart slip in his dance and hit his face in the ground, like someone have take the floor from his shoes and make him fell. His face was in the ground for a lot of minutes. He didnt shout or curse. He lay in the ground, almost like giving up. "Know what? I give up. We never going to return to our time. I will simple lay in the ground and wait for a Ursaring tear me apart or something like that..." When he was in the ground, he see a campsite. "Hmm...?" This awake his curiosity and despite still with low astral he decided to go there.

He looks a mix of determined and uncomfortable. Determined, because he is now much stronger and more capable. Uncomfortable, because too many things remind him of his torment, and he's not sure he can do anything to alter the future without winking out of existence.

Does Spira having only pokemon in 20s pokeballs that existed before the automated PC functions have any bearing on whether he has to worry about this?

Either way, he only has 6 pokemon on hand atm, so his pokeballs wouldn't currently be blinking anyways (if they even have that function).

Note concerning Hitmonchan's last tidbit about Elgyem: Nathan is very confused about how the heck Hitmonchan knows something like that.  Plus, Nathan hadn't said Elgyem's yet to be assigned species name out loud, so Reeves saying it out loud just adds to the confusion.  Ummmm...maybe Reeves and Hitmonchan coined the name for the species?

He doesn't comment on that out loud, though.  Just thanks them for their input and opinions.

As far as the threads between the pokeballs go, Nathan would probably tell everyone about them and what he thinks that means since he's presumably the only one who can see them right now.

"I'd recommend not letting your pokemon get automatically sent to the PC system, since we don't seem to be in the present time yet.  I'll, uh...explain what exactly the PC system is later, Spira, okay?"

Nathan notices Gallade's distracted, for obvious reasons, but it isn't until Shiva says what the date is that he really understands why.

"...wait, what'd you say the exact date was, Shiva?"

Presumably, Shiva says what it is.

"...oh.  Well...we should stay away from Trillium, then...there's an investigation going on there at the moment...it's almost done, and I don't think we have any reason to head there at the moment, but..."

What he doesn't say is why that investigation is currently happening (mostly because he's uncomfortable with the topic, which is probably obvious to everyone except maybe Terra).  Shiva can tell that Nathan's feelings are very similar to Gallade's at the moment.  For different reasons, obviously, and the synergy between the two of them is only amplifying what they're both feeling, but they're both there for each other.  It's that camaraderie and friendship that keeps the both of them in check despite how uncomfortable the both of them are with being in this specific time period.

Thankfully, there's a chance to stop and take a breather when they stop to investigate the surroundings.  Since Heart's going for the Ancient Items and Spira's checking out the grave and the Sableye...well, Nathan just opts to sit under a tree and take some time to compose himself along with Gallade.  As well as send Bill a message.

In 2014 now.  Feels weird, knowing there's also a version of me that's 3 years younger than I am...fortunately, we're nowhere near Trillium at the moment, and the younger me is staying there for awhile for...reasons.  Everyone else's past selves are in other regions...or just in the past.  Anyways...no risk of paradoxes due to meeting ourselves since we're still on Route 13 and nowhere near Trillium.  Spira's still with us.  Might have to do something to help him with adjusting to being in modern times once these lurches finally stop.  Like teaching him about the modern PC system and its automated features that didn't exist in the 20s at all, for example...don't think that will be hard, but it's certainly going to be an experience, to say the least...

It's a welcome distraction (albeit a temporary one).

Spira notices a Sableye at the side of the road digging, he doesn't know much about them,  but what he does know, is if one is digging it's found a gem that it likes. He goes to the Sableye to find out more, telling Noire to be ready if they have to battle.
