[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
(2)(2)(2)(6)(3)(3) (6)(2)(2)

You could wrap it in the remains of the tent. Or you could recall it straight into a spare Pokeball.

(Now that's something I didn't know could be done with Lapis! Looks like I can add 'Overly Large and Living Step Ladder to the things he can do, right besides swimming, battling, Preforming, and being good company!)

For a short time, Terra continues to observe Medicham conduct its mediation in silence, looking and feeling curious, studious, and at peace as he studied their form. It reminded him heavily of the relaxation techniques and stances that Shiranui taught him long ago in all but casualness and finer details, and just seeing it was a balm to his soul after seeing......one of them. Unfortunately, merely thinking about those fiends started to rile him up again, forcing the sagely monk to calm himself the best he could

'No....don't think of it. Not in danger.....can't harm me. Won't harm me. Relax. Deep breath in....out. In....out. Ah......'

Then, just as he heaved his second breath and found it wasn't doing much in the way of settling his nerves, he had a flash of Insight: Why not practice/learn the style of meditation that Medicham was doing? Judging from how at peace they were and the vibes he was getting, it seemed to be working great for them, so maybe it would do the same for him too? That, and it would be a good way as any to get to know the psychic monk without rudely interupting them.

So with that in mind, he did his best to mimic their poses and motions, drawing upon his old Performer habits and honed Alertness to follow along the best he could. All the while they was doing this, Lovely Lapis Lazuli gave his own effort in soothing them by trilling/humming a soothing, melodic tune to enhance both their and Medicham's meditations. He knew that they were.....Skittish when it came to Sableyes and why, and so did his best to share some of his own tranquility with them.  It wasn't the first time he done as such, and it probably wouldn't be the last either.

Order: Try to use meditation to both bring peace of mind/good feelings to Terra while also doing so in an attempt to connect to Medicham in the least disruptive manner possible, with Lovely quietly 'singing' along! As Zenyatta would say: 'Peace be with you.'

After ten minutes of meditating together, Medicham opens one eye. It begins its routine all over again, this time slowing down for Terra!

We'll make this Insight + Survival. Obviously Insight is the defining stat of meditation, but here there is a physical aspect too, trying to copy motions. -1 dice because the ritual isn't designed for humans.

(3)(4)(6)(1)(4)(4)(4)

Terra apparently does a very good job, because after a long slow repetition of the ritual, Medicham begins at his normal pace. When Terra performs admirably in that one, Medicham stands up on one toe, stretches, and bows to Terra. You're both blinking a little after having your eyes closed for so long.

(Huh....I thought meditation would have gotten Perform added to that roll, given that Terra was acting it out, but considering he did so well to begin with, I suppose he doesn't need those dice!)

Taking only a few seconds to rub the tired feeling out of his eyes/re-adjust them to the light, the mountain of a man then shared a small, friendly smile with Medicham, before returning their bow by bringing both his hands together (Like in prayer) and inclining his head.

"Thank you, Medicham. For teaching your techniques, and......being patient with me. Feel.....better now."

After Performing their style of meditation, his mind now both at ease and completely refreshed as he obtained a peace of mind he only rarely felt in the wilds or battle. His fear/anxiety over it......well, it hadn't entirely diminished, but he no longer felt he would go into a panic attack/lose his composure it, which was absolutely fantastic to put it simply. Overall, their mediation were EXACTLY what he needed!

It was at this point his face lite up as he realized he hadn't introduced himself yet to the psychic monk, and did so promptly.

"My name is Terra. Terra Sanaa Ismat. I am.....a traveler, monk, and......defender of my group. Saw you here, so I came to....pay you a visit. Pleased to meet you, Medicham."

He then offered them a open hand, and gave a dutiful/respectful nod.

"Since you shared with me, I will do same and.....open my mind for you to learn from. Know your species.....talented physical and mentally....very kind and honorable too, so I trust you."

Having seen/faced/interacted with the BEYOND extraordinary and being irrevicably changed on several fundamental level by it, Terra's mind/body/presence would probably be rather distinct for the mighty meditator once they read it. Especially since their readings would be enhanced by physical contact with his abnormally sturdy body and the simple monk opening himself to them completely.

Of course, those things completely slips by his notice, and so he had no reservations about his trusting/sharing gesture. Otherwise, he might have at least warned them first!

Orders: Since Terra hit off well with Medicham by aping their style thanks to them being a good and tolerant teacher , its only natural he return the favor by opening his mind for them to learn from as well! Depending on how that turns out, Terra will proceed accordingly. Well, assuming they accept his offer in the first place, that is.

Oo, very interesting.

Yeah Perform would have made sense too. I'll call Medicham male for now until you say otherwise.

Medicham clasps your hand and melds your mind with his. You feel his senses sliding over your own. It feels like a piece of rough leather on a sunburn. Looking at Medicham, you see a large variety of expressions flicker over his face: interest, curiosity, and lots of concern. You don't think Medicham is reading your verbal thoughts or your memories - rather, he's gathering impressions and predicting what you will do based on what he finds within your mind. And he thinks he can do something about it.

Medicham gestures to the road below, where your party is wandering about. Then he gathers up Terra onto his back and leaps down to the road with the large man! Looks like Medicham wants to be introduced to the others you travel with.

(11-02-2018, 03:11 PM)Iron Wrote: Yep, Dizzy is on very high alert. He seems to know Almanac has come into being by this time.

(...)

A Buneary with one ragged ear seems to lead the struggling caravan of baby Pokemon - Budew helps to carry one Chingling. Another runs full tilt to keep up. And a second Buneary looks sick and slightly purple, like it may have been poisoned. As mentioned, they are heading east and north. Every one of the baby Pokemon looks hungry and dirty and weary, but whenever one lags too far behind, Buneary gives them a little chitter and points east-by-northeast. The straggler always seems encouraged and more determined than ever, despite their terrible physical condition.

Seeing the meaningful furry infiltrator given into her care in such a state of high alert causes a wave of cold shivers running down her spine as Shiva observes his reaction to the current time. She keeps her gaze fixed on him in a calm and non-intimidating way for a little before she opts to stare into the distance with a thoughtful frown: There's only one thing that she'd think makes the smol but-not-smol Absol so cautious and alarmed, and that is the fact that ominous Almanac already does exist, is already gaining influence and maybe even has introduced some of their products to the market.

Curiosity also strikes the natural fae enthusiast: It'd interest her personally how they managed to gain such acceptance and influence despite their products are indeed controversial if she's very honest to herself... With that thought running through her mind, Shiva makes her way down the road.

Far she didn't come though as her train of thought got distracted rather soon and effectfully by what appeared to be a small pack of Baby Pokemon traveling in the opposite direction: Her instant reaction of 'Awww, aren't they cute!~' quickly changed too 'Ohhh, these poor ones...! Σ(°ロ°) ' upon noticing in what a HORRIBLE condition they were. Watching them for a little, she feels the determination and will to carry on very vividly and can't help but to find herself impressed by that: Such brave ones... A strong urge to provide some kind help to them awakes within her.

Still, Shiva didn't approach them right away as she doesn't want to accidently scare them, she also wasn't sure whether a wild Pokemon or a traveling Trainer was the reason for their bad state. Maybe they've encountered a predator, maybe they got suprised by a human traveler and were dragged into a battle - maybe their families were chased away or caught or worse ('My dear, don't think about that!') or they've otherwise got seperated. Meeting ill-natured 'catchers' can be a disturbing experience if one's young and free, Shiva once read about the philosophy concerning wild Pokemon. She was also aware that Buneary especially are shy and easily scared by humans.

Quick-checking the drawn map in her Guidebook, she believes they are  traveling towards Celebi Park or Cress City, maybe trying to find help and shelter there - maybe even aiming for the Pokemon Center?

So, the first thing Shiva did was summoning Delphox in order to have him cast a calming and invigorating Lucky Chant over the scenery (4 Dext + 2 Fight + 3 Perfom = 9d6 if an Accu Roll is needed) before drawing one Antidote, one Oran Berry and one portion of Gourmet Food from her belongings and placing it visibly for them on the path. Then, she backs off a little, but she does not 'hide' or similar: She remains within eyesight for the Baby Pokemon but in a reasonable distance from them, she was still able to observe them easily and they would spot her as well. They'd see her smiling softly if returning her gaze as well as waving to the offered medicine and food with a friendly hand gesture of 'For you' and the soft words "Please take a moment to strengthen yourselves before traveling on, dear ones. Have faith, I mean no harm at all towards you."

She keeps a close eye how they react and whether they accept the offer at all, that'll determine what Shiva will further do and whether she'll approach them or not - she also thinks to have means to speed up their traveling = help them reach their believed goal further, but they'd have to listen to her at first or at least not back off in fear.

For the purposes of when everyone gets back together, Nathan's still sitting under that tree with Gallade.  He hasn't dwelled on the TM too much, having pocketed it after checking who it might be compatible with, (another decent move for D?-Tropius might be a good way to show he appreciates having her around) and is currently flipping through his journal (ever mindful of any passerby since there's still sensitive info about future events in there).  Gallade's trying to meditate to keep his mind off of Almanac.

The Sableye hisses at you when you go over toward the grave, Spira, but you are well-armed enough that Sableye is intimidated by you.  So it backs away and leaves the grave to you, but watches from the shadows.

Upon closer inspection, the memorial is constructed from the remains of a wrecked car. The nose of the car seems to be buried in the earth, but the rear sticks out a little. The bumper has been twisted into a cross, and the whole thing has been reshaped to protrude partially from the ground like a tombstone. The glass is all gone, replaced with granite. The taillights hold electric candles now, and flowers are stuck everywhere.

"This monument commemorates FREDDY, ELIZA, and REBECCA MAYBERRY. Killed in a car crash 2012. They rest in Botanville Cemetery, north plot."

As Spira watches, darkness continues to stream steadily from where the rear passenger window ought to be - it's right at ground level.

Spira goes closer to the darkness creeping from the vehicle, letting Luna out in case it's a lost spirit.
Mechanics: investigate the darkness, and if it turns out to be a lost soul, Luna will absorb it.

(I'm fine with them being Male!, as I get a masculine vibe from them too!)

Considering that he had the displeasure of having Mewal (Mew + Mural) almost blowing up his mind with Psychic (his brain twinges painfully as he recalls THAT experience...), and accidentally communing/being hypnotized with Deoxys, Medicham's mind melding was only a minor discomforting sensation for him. In a way, he could be thankful that his adventures with the group had invariably + sufficiently inured him to most Psychic contact, but he could also be equally concerned that was the case too.

'Ven said that traveling with the group would be 'perhaps one of the most eventful experiences you'll have in your entire lifetime,' but thought h was.......making too big deal out of it. Now, I see how right he was. Hm.....*Mental shrug* oh well. Will do job and protect my friends, no matter what.'

The psychic monk's gesture and subsequently quite literally manhandling him earned them an surprised "Ah!" , before he realized what they intended and relaxed in an instant. Being swept off his feet was actually a rather familiar event for the rugged wanderer, as both Shiranui and Genie had done so with him on multiple occasions - more so with his Dragonfly Princess, given how insistent/whimsical she could be - so he was no longer bothered when it happened to him. Plus, he didn't feel that Medicham meant him foul or harm by its actions, so why put up a fuss about it and just let them do as they want (in this case, anyway)? Simple, really.

"Want to meet with my friends? Hm....*Nods physically and mentally* okay. They are......that way."

He points towards the big tree where he spotted Nathan and Gallade going over to earlier and could now see they were resting under, along with anyone else that would join up with him (since sooner or later the group would get back together). With that said and done, the mighty meditator probably leaps over to them pronto, since they seemed quite eager to meet with everyone else!

Meanwhile, Lapis found himself blinking as the wild Medicham up and took off with his most trust partner right over his snout, until he shook his head in half exasperation, half wry amusement, and slithered after the two. He knew that Terra has a tendacy to get carried away when it came to interacting with people and Pokemon alike, but never had that been literal until now!
