[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

The steely brawler took another long, dubious look at Dizzy when Nathan's pronounced his medical assessment on the young harbinger, not looking entirely convinced that their well being was safely at hand, but in the end he just slowly nodded back to them (Nathan). If the clever trainer was they were going to be okay despite such grievous and bodily harm (Which reminded him a touch bit too much about his own scrapes with death....), he'll believe him.

What got much less of his approval was the suggestion that the boy's to split off from the group and go after the wicked witch all by himself , earning him a sharp disapproving frown a shake of his head.

" NoStay here with the group, Nathan. Want to help other people, and.....bring Scimitars to justice, but......not worth risk going after Juni alone. Could still get Ambushed by her and......second group of mages. While you are all alone. Without.....aid from your friends. *Shakes head* That is not good. Even if you fight her alone, Juni still too dangerous with her.......laser drainy magic. Weaken you, your Pokemon, then blast you hard and it badly hurts you. Right, Tommy?"

He motions to his mean feline at this point, who can only briskly nod in agreement to his partner. That blue haired fiend arcane might was no joke at all, and while he was all for a good rough, blood pumping Fight, going up against [b]her[/i] ALONE was a challenge that sounded far too rich for his blood, let alone anyone's else!

" *Nods* There. See? Is not worth the risk, so stay with the group my friend. Safety in numbers, and we have time to rest and prepare for Juni's next attack. *Beat* ....Or for us to.....travel through time again. *Shakes head* Don't want that to happen with group separated. ......Understand it all, my friend? "

Terra goes quiet at this point, giving Nathan the chance to speak his mind, but judging by the worried and disapproving look he was giving the boy, he was dead set against the idea of them going off alone against Juni. Considering what he's seen her capablities and the fact she has even more backup in the wings, though, and is it any wonder why?

Heart's suggestion of going with Nathan cause Terra to pause and look thoughtful for a moment, before he shook his head again.

"No. Not a good idea. Group need to stay together, in case something bad happens again, or we.....time travel again. Can.......interrogate Scimitars here, and give information to.........cops and League in the future....present? *Shake head* Back in our own time. Much safer to......do things that way."

It seemed the mountain of a man is dead set against the idea of anyone splitting off from the group atm, even in pairs. Again, though, can you blame him for his reticense to the idea, after everyone got attacked out of nowhere by the Scimitars?

What a chaotic scene, it takes a lot of Shiva's concentration and wits to follow what's happening. The whole time while watching, nothing changes at all about her firm stance and icy+stoic experssion, she does a fine job to keep her emotions inside and thoughts unspoken. Primal Glaceon neatly mirrors the chill, uses it to figuratively power up his icy winds. GIVE 'EM CHILLS!!~

HOWEVER, the natural fae enthusiast cannot help to feel very impressed by the blue-haired woman that presents herself as the leader of this Scimitar Pack, way more due to her attitude and witchy powers than by her threats. A bit also because here Shiva has a very vivid proof that there definitely and securely are female Scimitars, one of them even in a high position! ^o^ She'd probably give a LOT to being able to learn similar spells she and her underlings cast or even only try it out once. Not the slightest hint of that becomes apparent on her face or in her body language though, that offer of surrender is met with her insistently looking away in that typical female 'I detest you, hmpf!'-style. Given how soft, gentle, dear and compassionate Shiva usually is, openly disapproving someone is a very harsh punishment.

Her trust in Dizzy is indeed very strong, Shiva plays along with the Infiltrator's antics by mimicing being hurt when he comes to 'nip' at her. As that Nidoqueen however very messily and recklessly took care of the young Absol, FINALLY SOMETHING in Shiva's expression moves: She returns that apologizing look of him with a compassionate, grateful and overly 'You did very well'- one of her own while giving him a praising blink and slight nod. 'It's very okay if you leave the battle now, dear one', she seems to tell him without spoken words. It's better to not imply what could have occured if that lethal Superpower would have hit Shiva instead, she just stares at that now fainted Nido from above for a second.

Not even as the sandstorm came up Shiva changes in stance but if it's still brewing after the battle, Nightshade will come out and change the weather condition to beautiful sunshine with a big smile.

Triump, weak but still  triumph finally makes it to thaw that icy and snowy landscape that marked Shiva's attitude for that scene, Primal Glaceon  lets out a howl of victory as he leaps back to his Master without any pain at all. He nuzzles Shiva with his cheek, licks the back of her hand that now was on Dizzy's back side-to-side with Calam's paw, but no reaction came from her. Shiva was just staring down at her mauled Absol, her hair was obscuring her face and therefor her very PAINED but also very GRATEFUL look she gave him, and tears were in her eyes also. How blood of Dizzy was staining Shiva's hand was nothing, right now she simply wanted to stick to him.

She also didn't even really hear what Terra, Heart and/or Nathan mentioned about him or his condition, simply remained right here by her side. However, she gently shakes her head towards both Terra offering a Max Potion and Heart offering two Super Potions to deny them with a soft smile, indicating that Dizzy is her call and her responsibility: She can't fail Golda or Wir, not wants that in the slightest; they're putting incredible trust into her, and she wishes to proof herself that she's worthy of that trust. She draws the Emergency Max Potion she's carrying, gifts Nathan a short but honest thankful look for his fast first aid and gently shoves them a little aside afterwards to be semi-alone as she sprays Dizzy with the Max Potion, healing all of his lethal Damage. He'll be back at 7hp, and once that's done, she'll envelop the Infiltrator in a heartwarming and close embrace, nuzzling his white fur. "I'm sorry for what has happened...", she'd whisper to him, "But if it weren't you, I... Well, thank you. Simply thank you... You're doing okay, well enough to stay out or shall I recall you for some rest into your Ball?"

Once that's answered, she'll get up from her knees and take a slow walk towards Spira's side, throwing regretful and apologizing glances at the fainted Pokemon from the Trainers, mostly the Detective's Arcanine. Seeing these Pokemon like that was painful, but where were the Detective and those that visited them with them? Are they in sight, any hints what has happened with them or where they have gone to? Shiva doesn't want to leave the Pokemon like that and would even go so far to try catching them to later give them into the hands of a Nurse Joy and hopefully also their owners.
EDIT: Could a Lucky Chant from Delphox maybe remove the brainwashed state??

Towards the spat between Nathan, Terra, Gallade and Heart about pursuing Juni or not, Shiva accidently barks out an uncharacteristiclly "NO." She sounds like a protective mother. "Please, stick with us for now. Nathan. Heart, now is not the time for solo-runs. It's much safer if we'd face her all together, we'll see her again for sure. What's the use of pursuing her NOW? What do you plan to do with her if you manage to catch her alone? We've only seen a tibit of her powers, cannot know what more she's capable of. Please, just...don't." (If that can be an Insight+Will Roll or something if there's consense, that'd be fine.)

Now, for the captured and trapped remaining seven Scimitars... The most mischievious and prankful Fairy Tpye would envy the look Shiva meets them with. She lets Spira take the medical treatment, offer a Burn Heal if his Roll fails and let him speak his questions without interrupting. She herself is actually interested in the gauntlets they wear, can she take or force one from the Scims and maybe try it on herself? She'd like to know more about how they cast these spells.

Rather important note: all the Scimitars are currently unconscious.  Kinda hard for them to answer questions if they stay that way.

And that burned Scimitar might also start taking Lethal damage if not healed soon.

I, eh, am aware that they're unconscious. Shiva would try to take a gauntlet from one of 'em before they regain consciousness or are awoken.

Mika also said that he'll do Burn Treatment or use up a Burn Heal (either one of Spira or the one Shiva offers) here, maybe it's been overlooked or something.

Nobody said they were reviving any of the Scims to my knowledge (and a Revive or Hurtloam or something will likely have to be expended to do so).  Mika also said he was only healing the Scim's Burn if he found the answers to the questions satisfactory (either the Scim needs to be revived first, the burn needs to be healed, or he needs to start taking Lethal damage).

That's @Mikaruge108's call, questioning a Scim pretty likely won't take an hour so preventing lethal damage from the Burn or not isn't super-urgent in my view. Leaving the Burn and only heal is the answers are good enough could also be used to force answers out of 'em. I please don't want to debate over things now or get lost in details, that's not necessary.

I'd like to see whether Shiva can have a Gauntlet before she heals anything but Dizzy.

Glaceon drank the Ranc Berry Malt earlier, and so gains 1 Happiness.
Tommy and Angie gain 1 Loyalty from watching Terra run through lasers to heal them.
Gustav gains 1 Loyalty; he's very pleased at playing such a big part in the battle and Heart's strategies worked out great.

The scar is on the left eye, so he and Calam now have matching scars.

Heal Pulse on Meowth: (6)(3)(2)(5)(4)(6) and fully healed.

The imagery of firing Aura Spheres through the ice and right through Toya is really cool. It's still possible for Pokemon to obey a command from within ice.

(This is all directed to the burned Scimitar, if Spira gets satisfactory answers, he'll heal 'em, *spend 6/9 current exp to increase medicine to 1, he'll do basic burn treatment, and if the roll is unsuccessful he'll begrudgingly use a burn heal on the Scimitar) The others can see in Spira's eyes that he did not like them draining his Pokemon's powers. Firstly, he'll appropriate that Scimitar's gauntlet to check out later.
The questions:
  • Who are you? (He doesn't mean the group, but rather the grunt's name)
  • What do you have planned in Cress City?
  • What is with those magic gauntlets?
that's all the questions for now, from Spira, that is.

The only conscious Scimitar is the icy one, so you can just defrost him and ask these questions.

"J...J...Geordie."

Dizzy leaps into the air to show he's healed. Then he begins trying to communicate something to Shiva - he's going somewhere to fulfill his duty as Infiltrator. If Shiva wants to try to guess his destination or quest, he can answer yes or no. Dizzy's mind is filled with determination, and Calam looks on approvingly.

Nathan, you can still see the tingle of time magic around Dizzy.

The trainers are nowhere in sight, and Juni led you to believe they'd been subdued and kidnapped. You're not sure about their Pokemon's mental state, but it seems likely that fainting would reset them to normal.

You can't use persuasion rolls on party members - or rather you can, but they don't have to obey them if they don't wanna.

When you remove a gauntlet, you find that a thick wire bundle runs up their sleeves and under their cloaks, securing them so they can't be removed so easily.

That Scim is still on fire, so he's taking lethal damage potentially every six seconds.
