Probably a question best left for Nathan to answer, me thinks.  That's getting into timey wimey mumbo jumbo territory, and that's what Nathan wants to discuss with Detective Thrawn.  (well, one of the the things.  The other big thing is what to do with Juni, obviously)

You may think so and that's totally alright, but we're in this together and it's effecting all of us. Nathan already explained this topic to Spira, I've actually and silently looked forward to do that towards the good detective! ._. Definitely not today anymore though, but tomorrow. As a compromise though, I'll sum the whole story up for him and send him to Nathan for any further questions/details and proofs if needed. Alright?

I'm having an interest in wrapping up anything concerning Juni and Detective Thrawn relatively fast and soon without acvidently being too fast, it itches me to explore that rainforest area and see why we're in the current time.

Went back and attempted to calculate when Dizzy/Calam's birthday is just for kicks. If I did my math right, it's March 30th. (not that it's likely to come around again during the course of the campaign, but it's a somewhat interesting piece of trivia, I suppose.)

Also, thinking about it again, Calam and Dizzy discussing whether Dizzy would learn ROCK SMASH must have also been a result of the 'risk of causing a paradox' thing...that must have been an...interesting conversation for Dizzy, to say the least, given what the topic at hand was...



Also, @Iron, I'd like to ask this question: did you start planning this plot twist as soon as Shiva recommended to Golda and Wir that they breed an Absol for the purpose of infiltrating Almanac?

Man, that last post was indeed HUGE. Sometimes I get carried away by the inspiration of the plot and I simple let things go. I just hope that last words of Heart strike some kind of never in that methodic mind of Juni, but I not so much positive about that.

It's interesting to think about how different things would and could have been if I'd have suggested a different species of Pokemon to be bred as the Infiltrator.

I've also been mentally laughing several times the day about meme-ish conversations between these two, like the following:

If Dizzy knew he would eventually be Calam, I'm thinking Calam probably would have told him when we found ROCK SMASH and no sooner, seeing as that was a big, potentially paradoxical event (though it is possible that Calam managed to convince Dizzy without revealing the time loop, and Dizzy never knew about Calam'strue identity until he had basically become his future self).  And even then, there are still enough differences between the young and grown versions that they could definitely be considered separate individuals.

But yeah, I definitely agree that Dizzy not knowing about what would eventually give him that scar was probably for the best...

Suffice to say, Nathan has a lot of questions for the Absol if he's willing to answer them.

Some other past actions from Calam also take on a bit of a different meaning with this new context: for example, Calam's acknowledgement of Shiva after she won her first gym battle (even though I was the one who came up with that one).  Similar, but also very different.

Yes, I instantly knew I wanted that to be Calam's origin when Shiva recommended an Absol. I immediately threw out my other plan in favor of it. I was already planning on the time travel arc. I like having the party intertwined in this way.

I knew he'd get the scar sometime in the past and be trapped there. I let the dice decide when it would actually happen, so it was pretty great that he came within 1hp of dying to get it. Of course, I stacked the odds a bit by giving lots of enemies lethal moves.

There were a lot of times I had to jump in and change your description of Calam's actions, knowing what I knew. Probably dozens of times.
