Delphox could also learn Flamethrower in addition to Fire Pledge and Blast Burn, Phantom. You can get all 3.

I know, it's on his list of normal level-up moves. I don't feel like it's necessary for him though, as I'll probably end up using Mystical Fire and Fire Pledge much more often while Blast Burn is reserved for the...more nasty foes or for those poor souls that dare to do harm to Shiva. In combination with Sunlight and Blaze Ability my magical fox is a capable one already, and not even speaking about the aces kept in sleeve to make him hit even harder! Thanks for the shared suggestion though.


Ah, while I'm already on it, I'm fine if Fire Pledge's effects will last for 4 Rounds and deal Fire Damage, I'll note that. I also look a bit forward to experience with this particular move in future Double Battles.

So, I was looking through some of the effects of Flower Veil earlier (for obvious reasons), and I discovered something veeeerrrryyy interesting.

The description of Flower Veil's effect in the book lacks text that indicates the affected pokemon can inflict stat reductions and status ailments on themselves, unlike Clear Body and White Smoke.  This would mean that Close Combat wouldn't lower your defenses, Petal Dance wouldn't Confuse you, attempting to use Rest would fail because you can't fall asleep...

And let's keep in mind that this Ability originally only affected Grass type allies in the games, and it's a combination of Comatose's status immunity with Clear Body (which I noticed they worded a little differently in the book from White Smoke to make a distinction between the two.  Clear Body users are completely immune to having their stats changed in any way by any pokemon besides themselves, while White Smoke users can have their stats changed in any way by allies or raised by foes). The way Flower Veil is worded in the book, it's an incredibly broken Ability with few drawbacks or restrictions (and it's only present on two rather rare evolution lines, but it's still veeeerrrry strong).


I also looked at Symbiosis because that's the Flabebe line's Hidden Ability, but giving your held item to an ally seems very lackluster compared to total immunity to all stat reductions and status ailments for yourself and all your allies.

Uh, I don't mind if something will be houseruled concerning the flower fairy's Ability if needed. I kinda enjoy that it's me though who's openly less competitive than the others who ended up with such mighty flowery Abilities!

By the way, here's a very, very important thing to note about the endangered species: our characters don't necessarily have to accomplish restoring their numbers during the course of the campaign's story.  It might not even be something our characters accomplish in their lifetimes, and they only set the groundwork for doing so in the end.

Of course, Moltres's plotline is a different story entirely, and depends on how quickly the bird grows and what Iron has planned for that plot device.

.....Is everything done with that whole Crater or Preservation business now? Because now I have MUCH more free time between studying with most of my tests and projects to complete, so I can participate in the campaign once more in earnest!

I'll leave it to everyone whether or not to inform Terra all that has happened, but my preference would be to just leave him out of the loop on all but the Moltres Egg, as there is nothing much else he can really add to besides 'Oh.......that is good. *Nods* Will do all I can to help you, my friends.'

On that note, if you need someone to gather all those sacred plants for Moltres' pyre, Terra and Shiva are the people for that job, as both are pretty good when it comes to collecting plants and all that! You can't help that if you've lived in and explored the wilds for well on a decade or share an intensely strong bond with Nature, after all!

It seems so.  I'm not sure if we're going to be using the Celebi Egg to return to 2017, though.  Nathan knda doesn't want to mess with it out of respect for Celebi, but maybe she put it there specifically to give us a quick way to return to the present time.  *shrug*
EDIT: Well, I guess we don't have to worry about that now.

In any case, I think everyone is at least leaving the cave to fetch Terra and Thrawn (and technically Juni) to regroup and inform everyone (except Juni, obviously) about anything necessary.

Nathan's very visibly carrying a blue egg with white triangles and dots speckling it when he leaves the cave to check on everyone still outside, too.  And Heart is probably handling the Moltres Egg visibly as well.  So Terra can probably ask about those if he wishes.

Windoooos!~ *comes to almost overrun you with a tacklehug* Nice to see you, and neat to hear that you've got some more free time now. You haven't really missed anything super-important that'd need your direct input, I guess, and no Encounter Lists.

*shrugs* Neither me nor Shiva are really up to shout it from the rooftop that she got Eggs of two very rare Fairy Types, and she's carrying them safely in Incubators in her bag = not obviously visible. Terra would probably 'only' notice that she seems happy, which implies that something pleasant occured during cave adventure.
