Dragonstrike : You want to start off the Scene Between Angie and Nathan in PMs? I presume your chara would let her out in a large, open, and remote enough area not to attract to much attention, so she'd just passively/serenely float while observing/studying him until he makes a move.

The other question I ask is what sort of tasks would a Volunteer Ranger do, as that is one task my chara would immediately gravitate toward due to his inherently helpful/helping nature and great wisdom/affinity when it comes to Survival.

Ahh, it's actually stated a bit in Iron's post my dear, and given that I'm highly interested in being a Volunteer Ranger as well, I would enjoy if details wouldn't be spoiled too much beforehand if it's okay, all to keep up the suprsie! The Safari Cup sounds a bit too competitive for my and definitely for Shiva's taste.

@Mikaruge108, I uh, kinda wanted to fight the camper too because I need to accumulate a decent amount of cash...

*sigh*...well, I guess there's always more trainers that will be available later...maybe an easier fight would be a good warmup, too...hmmm....

A little tip for you in any case, Mika: you don't have to state exactly which 3 pokemon you're using at the start of the battle in most cases, unlike in team preview based 3v3 and 4v4 battles in the games.  You can bring a full party of 6 and then pick and choose which pokemon to use as the battle progresses based on what your opponent has been doing.

I'm also interested in going on a Safari, but I have a couple of question about that: If Terra goes on one and then starts exploring the toughest/most dangerous areas of the preserve, would that count towards earning Duskull's respect if they are not in his party? Or do they have to be present to 'witness' their partner put themselves into mortal peril for their desires? If you didn't bring Duskull, you'd need to roll Empathy to persuade him you're not exaggerating. Much easier if they can witness it.

All of that sounds pretty interesting actually! Though now I need to ask something additionally in order to plan accordingly: The Volunteering will take up the whole day, correct? I'll probably get to do that during in-game tomorrow's Safari Cup in combination with foraging plants/berries and spend remaining today's Encounters exploring the Levels of the Zone on my own to get used to the terrain already. Sounds good?

The Volunteering takes as long as the event you're volunteering for. If you help with the Cup, that's 24 hours + tournament time, so like 27 hours. Obviously you get breaks for eating and sleeping.

Humm, given that Shiva most likely doesn't wish to directly take part in the Cup herself, volunteering as a Ranger during that time sounds perfect and her Survivial Skills will be thankful, so I will likely go with that unless something drastic occurs that'd reason me changing the plan. Thanks!~
