[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
(Been waiting a time for Patrat evolves. And I have the perfect video for the moment :3)

Heart was once more speechless when seeing his young Patrat reaching his evolution. He aproach the little one and give a little pat in his back and smiled to him. "Great job Patrat. I mean, Watchog. You reach the next level of your evolution and finally become stronger. The Leader of your clan would be very much proud of you." Heart look at Woad. "Before I send my next Pokemon, could you wait just a bit to take care of Patrat wounds and burn? Even if the evolution take care of the burn, his furr still a bit chared a bit and its my job to take care of him."

Insight (3) +Knowledge (3) +Medicine (3) = 9D6 to clean the wounds and burn @Iron.

While Heart was cleaning the wounds of Watchog he decide to talk with him while doing it. "Thank you for trusting in my orders despite you was on fire my friend. I put my trust you beat Charmeleon, despite he be a 2 second evolution pokemon. You make me proud my friend, and you have show strengh and resolution. I think I will give you a name. One special for this moment." Heart look a bit to some piece of furr a bit burned and try to think of one good name. "Hmm, in my family, my Grandfather was a powerfull and strong Pokemon trainer in his young days, and he have a strong believe: No matter the form or origin, every pokemon have the potential to be strong and powerfull, if he and the trainer is determined enough to go foward. He was both feared and respect by the other members of the ArcHeart Clan. He have trained all kinds of Pokemon, many of them very common, but he raised them and unlock their potential."

"He was know as...Blazer. Blazer ArcHeart. But to his friends and foes, he was know as Arc Lord Blazer, or Lord Blazer. He was great man and get all kinds of wounds in his battles. Even get some burn wounds when he fough hand to hand against a wild Charizard. I think thats gonna be your name Watchog. From this day foward, I name you Blaze the Watchog, because like my Grandfather you fough a strong Fire Pokemon and win. And these fire furr its the true clue of your strengh.

(Reaction to the new name, and if I fail in the rolls a potion to patch the wounds. Oh, and my last choice of Pokemon gonna Koa. Time to put the little dragon into action. I supose Tailwind have now lost its effects correct?)
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

The sagely monk smiles at Brazen's eagerness to accept his advice, then he closed his eye and frown in thought, gathering what he learned about Goodra in this battle and comparing it against what he already knew about Pokemon/training, review and 'analyzed' all of such, before he came to a final assessment.

"Hm......Goodra is bulky enough, so you should.....focus on increasing their power. If they can not.....set up, then need to focus on improving natural Strength to.....composate. Took my buffed Lovely long time to.....wear your Dragon, but they took even longer to really hurt Lovely, so making them more powerful would.......create good balance between Offense and Defense. Hm.....said that Goodra Status healed by water? And it Evolved in the rain? *Nods* Ability must be Hydration then, and your Dragon has.......strong tie to Water. If so, maybe it can learn Rain Dance, and other Water Moves. Rain Dance would......protect Goodra from Status, even Confusion from its Outrage, and.......make any Water Moves it learns stronger. Make them lot harder to take down. "

"Hm.......Goodra reminds me of Swalot line too, since it is slimy and bulky like them. Swalot line has......potential to learn Acid Armor and Curse, so maybe Goodra does too? If so, that would mean it can learn set up Move after all. Hm.....finally, if it can learn or knows Moves that cause Status or cause problems for opponents, like Dragon Breath, should learn them or use them more. Hindering foes just as good as buffing your Pokemon, so.....take advantage of that if you can. Like I did with Lovely, *Nods*. And......that is all. Hope my advice helps make your Goodra Better, Brazen."

After finishing up his lengthy but (hopefully) Insightful speal on improving Goodra, he opened his eyes and scanned them over the shieldmaidan, frowning thoughtfully at their unusual appearance (I assume they are dressed as a Shieldmaiden, correct me if I am wrong) and the immense might it belayed, then looked back to her, curiousity brimming in his posture.

"What sort of Trainer are you? Never seen someone like you before, and you are strong, so I would like to know so I can......keep look out for them to challenge later. How did you get so strong too? Already tough myself, but can always learn new ways to make myself tougher. What other Pokemon are your partner too? Might want to keep look out for them too."

*Beat*

"Could you also tell me more about Safari Zone? And what is......most dangerous part, with the toughest Pokemon? Crowd of people say you have experience, so you should know lots about it. Please?"

Well, there's that lack of social know how, deluging poor Brazen with a bucket load of questions! Hopefully they won't mind it too much, or only tell him off lightly for it!

Meanwhile, Lapis is frankly amazed with the Recovery he undertook and how much better he looked and felt, before a wide grin broke out across his snout. Oh, now that was a very useful trick, now and yet to come.....

Later on, Terra's sorta boggles at his Mikey leaping sky high and knocking the lights out of a Pidgy and then promptly presented to him like a trophy, before he gives them a small smile and pats them on the head, and then catches the Pidgey with a Pokeball and to the PC (Which really should be a non-issue at this point). He couldn't just reject such a gift after seeing his shroom bro so proud of him, so he'll catch it for their shake. He'll just give to Melly as snack later in private, and recycle the Pokeball.

Later later on, the rugged wanderer would happen upon the camping stores, and make some purchases with the wealth he received from Brazen: A Hyper Potion to replace the one he spent, guide books and maps of the Safari Zone (So he can educate himself more on it for volunteer work/later), Digging Gear (Could come in handy, and he won't always have Angie around), a Super Rod (He's always want to try his hand at fishing properly!), and a sizable quantity of that fruit preserve, fresh fruit, and herbs (if it wouldn't 'cost nothing', as Terra loves him some produce, and he's inspired by the cooking show to 'experiment' a little with ingredients [+ 1 Science: Chemistry for 6 XP!]). The Hyper Potion should cost $1200, but what about the rest of the stuff? Base price of a basic fishing Rod is $500, but Terra's looking to purchase a much higher quality reel, and who knows what the other stuff costs.
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.

"I... I do have four Gym Badges and a Mightyena that considers me his alpha leader", Shiva explains to the housemaster a bit shyly, "If I'll, well...bring some particular Pokemon of mine I should be good, I guess...? Are there any Types of Pokemon you'd recommend bringing along? Or some that serve a selected role, like a flyer or such?"

Oh and Shiva does have a map, freshly bought from the outfitter, she fishes it out of her stuff and unfolds it on the counter so that the housemaster can show her how the Levels are connected.

"False Swipe might be the most useful move in the Safari Zone! It's illegal to make a wild Pokemon faint there. Cut, Teleport, Vine Whip, rideable Pokemon...anything like that could be useful. Fire and Fighting are good types offensively. Defensively, you want Steel, of course. You'll see Bug, Grass, and Normal types mostly. Oh, and Poison."

Watchog is honored to have a name associated with such a portentous clan. As a (former?) clanmember himself, it means a lot to him!

You treat the wound and make sure it's not infected or Lethal. Evolution healed it quite nicely, and Watchog is just a little tired. His Keen Eyes prevent him from missing out on too much due to the wound.

Woad sends out his final Pokemon with some ceremony. It's an Espeon, a majestic one!

"This is one of my oldest friends, who was with me in all my travels, all my trials, all my successes such as they have been. She was with me, as an Eevee, when I got my tattoos as I came of age. There's nothing in which I don't trust her.

Heart nod his head and smile to his rodent friend happy with his aproval for the name!

Espeon majestice coming make Heart impress with such beautiful and majestic being! "Wow. Even from here, I can felt the conection between you two. You two indeed have a deep conection of friendship and confident. Me and Koa have our story too. He was the ever first Pokemon to join when I come to Cheshire. Since then, we meet all kinds of adventures. We didnt go well so much when he begin our partership. Heck, I still sometimes feel the bites he used to go in me, heh." Heart scratch the back of his head, a bit shamed. "One time, he even bite my nose when I was sleeping. And in the sequence bite my finger, ouch. But despite that, we form a strong and powerfull bond, we have a spar against each other when he was a Axew, to prove my worth as his trainer. That was the first step to increase our bond."

"We have all kinds of adventures together: Fighting against all kinds of trainers, participating in the Little Cup in Cress City, fighting some Gym Leaders, becoming rival of a Fairy from one of my companions, fighting against a group of Nuzleafs when we were ambushed and trapped...and helping escaping the fury of a giant Legendary Bug Pokemon. All kinds of adventures we have together, and we gonna even more!"

"Koa! Lets show him the strengh of a Dragon! Show him your dancing moves with Dragon Dance! Then go with 2 sequences of Dual Chops!" Heart also join Koa in his dance thing. If this gonna be the last battle or not, he would at least do in majestic way. They would do a dance coreograph like this.

Dragon Dance Accuracy: Dex (5) + Fight (4) + Perform (2) + Tailwind (2) - Actions (5) = 8D6
Effect: Increase Dex and STR.

Dual Chop 1 Accuracy: Dex (5) + Fight (4) + Brawl (3) + Dragon Dance (1) + Tailwind (2) - Accuracy (1) - Actions (6/7)  = 8D6/7D6
Damage: Power (2) + STR (3) + Dragon Dance (1) + STAB (1) = 7D6 each strike!
Effect: Double action in the same action.

Dual Chop 2 Accuracy: Dex (5) + Fight (4) + Brawl (3) + Dragon Dance (1) + Tailwind (2) - Accuracy (1) - Actions (8/9) = 6D6/5D6
Damage: Power (2) + STR (3) + Dragon Dance (1) + STAB (1) = 7D6
Effect: Already mentioned.

....P-O-I-S-O-N!!!  Out of ALL eighteen Types currently known to mankind it has to be that particular one. Shiva can feel her knees becoming weak despite her initiate desire to flee as fast as she can get, but before it overtook her and led to an unpleasant scene right here in front of the housemaster, Delphox took the natural fae enthusiast by the hand and all calmly simply held it in his paw, he also intoned a faint Lucky Chant to soothe her upriled nerves. The fox eyes Shiva gazes into when turing to her magical fox were practically radiating trust and beilief, it reminded her on how she's prepared for suprise poisonous Pokemon jumping at her and her companions.

"I... I see", Shiva replied after having gathered her breath, "That's good to know. Eh, some last questions if I may, as I'd like to visit the Zone before the Cup tomorrow - it's a bit too competitive for my taste." She pauses here for a moment and looks at the floor in embarrassment over admitting this. "If it's not allowed to faint the Pokemon there, what can or should I do if... Well, if a wild Pokemon in the upper Levels keeps attacking me after I weakened it or even chooses to pursue me when I try to flee? Has something like that happened before? I'd like to to be prepared just in case, you see?"

"Ehm, do you also happen to know where I can obtain that 'Gathering Permit' to visit the Zone? And can I rent some Safari Balls with it, in case I meet a Pokemon I'd like to try catching during my visit?"

"If you're attacked by a wild Pokemon, it's best to throw rocks at it, paralyze it, run away from it, anything like that. Or catch it, if you have a permit for that. If you soundly defeat it in battle, even without fainting, it's quite likely to run away. If not, call for a Ranger."

"You can buy Gathering Permits at the Pokemon Center. You can't take any Safari Balls with you on a Gathering Permit, that's the point of that Permit. Sometimes people use a Gathering Permit to scout out a good Pokemon nest, though. It's best to avoid any dangerous Pokemon while simply gathering."

All of that makes sense to Shiva and she makes sure to mentally note that - throwing rocks at a wild Pokemon sounds a bit harsh for her taste though. :o

(Humm, that leads to another mechanical question, please: Would it be possible and okay if Shiva would go to visit one or two Level/s with the Gathering Permit to scout out locations of notable plants and search for Pokemon to fight some capable Pokemon? Because I wished to visit the Zone for the sake of exploring and work a bit more on Primal Glaceon's desired next evolution as well.)

Yes, the Gathering Permit isn't tied to any Level (or Area might be a better word). So you can scout things out.
