[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
Heart was impressed with such ability in dodge of Lairon. "How such big thing can dodge so much its above my knowledge. Huh." Heart then decide to test such skill of dodge of Lairon. "Such situation come to this. He already know what kind of strategy I do. Dodge this! Exeggcute! Barrage of Grass Knots right away! 4x now! Lets see that Lairon dodge such power!"

Grass Knot Accuracy: Dex (5) + Fight (4) + Brawl (3) - Pain (2) - Actions (4/5/6/7) = 6D6/5D6/4D6/3D6
Damage: Power (2) + STR (4) + STAB (1) = 6D6
Effect: Already know. Hopeful this will end the battle...or at least make that Lairon extremely weak.
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

"Hmmph! I have more great Pokemon at age 24 than you'll see in a lifetime. And 1925 called, it wants its fashion sense back."
well this about shows the mood between Spira and Angela now
"Wait a second... I don't remember telling you where I'm from... Also like you'd know about fasion, Ms. Mud queen."

"Well, I never let my innate beauty and style get in the way of catching rare Pokemon. Handsome trainers, well...sometimes. Wait, where did you say you were from?"

Nathan sighs and takes the Revive.  "Thanks.  I'm sure she'll appreciate that.  I'll have to work on Delta Parasect's Disobedience later.  I told it that it should work on its strategies earlier today already, and now that's cost it two battles it should have by all rights won...maybe I should have just used one of the Doduo I'd caught again..."

Welp, to the spectator stands Nathan goes.  I already have an idea of what kind of pokedoll I want Nathan to get, at least.  *sigh*...I was really banking on placing in the top 4...what a way to finish...

--------------

By the time Nathan's gotten to the gatehouse, he's used that Revive on Mizu, who's curled around Nathan.  Delta Parasect has been handed over to Nurse Joy for treatment, and he's swapped his team around to what it was just before the tournament (Gallade, Mizu, Swiftfire, Calam, Solomon, and Grid.  I'll rearrange all the hold items and stuff on the character sheet).  Gallade's already in the gatehouse though, of course, and Belle and Trampe have his pokeball at the moment, so Nathan makes his way over to them first and foremost.

...or he at least tries to.  There's probably still a lot of attention directed at him, I imagine...

The first to find you is a beautiful, well-dressed woman who vaults down out of the Gatehouse to get to you before the crowds do. As she falls, she almost seems to slow...

Her hair flows down and collects itself perfectly once she lands. In just a couple long strides, she has reached you with hand outstretched. "Angela. I collect pink Pokemon, and I won't insult you by offering to trade for that Dratini, but I wanted to say I love it! And it's a shame you had to use disobedient Pokemon. I can tell you and that Dratini had an amazing bond. And that you're fast. If you want to battle me, come to Area 6 during the week!"

She makes no mention of WHY you might want to battle her.

As for the Pokedolls, they are never shiny, but you could use Craft to alter it so it was.

Safari Cup - Heart 3 Round 2

Grass Knot 1
(5)(4)(2)(1)(6)(6)
(1)(2)(4) Lairon takes 1 dmg 4/7hp

The Gentleman sticks with Iron Head, having achieved a bit of a bond with that move.

Iron Head 1
(2)(3)(3)(4)(6)(1)
(6)(3)(6) Exeggcute takes 2 dmg 3/10hp -2 pain
CD: (1)(2)(2)

Grass Knot 2
(4)(1)(3)(6)(1)
(2)(3)(5) Lairon takes 1 dmg 3/7hp -2 pain. Now he can't go anywhere without being tangled in more long grass, seeking the gaps in his armor for the rocky substrate beneath.

Iron Head 2
(5)(2)(6)(2)
(3)(2)(3) !!
CD: (5)(2)(4)
Exeggcute scatters from the bowling Lairon.

Grass Knot 3
(5)(3)(5)
(3)(2)(1) Exeggcute doesn't retaliate properly, either.

Lairon prepares his final move!

Iron Head 3
(5)(1)(2)
(3)(4)(4) Just short! Exeggcute takes 2 dmg 1/10hp -3 pain.
CD: (3)(4)(4)

Grass Knot 4
(1)(3) Ahh, but the pain makes Exeggcute miss! So we'll actually have one more round! Can Exeggcute get 1 perfect hit in before Lairon takes him down?

Alrighty then.  My preference for what I'd like the pokedoll to be is still the same, though.

Mizu just gives Angela a good, looooooonnnnnnngggg, unimpressed stare.  Oh, heck no.  No way would she want to be in the company of that person.  Nu uh.  Nope.  Not.  Happening.  Period. And that definitely briefly gets an eyebrow raise from Nathan. Hmmm...

Nathan crosses his arms at first when he responds to Angela.  "I didn't have to use a Disobedient pokemon.  Just figured I'd give it a shot since I thought they might be helpful.  That, and if they'd have beaten that Carvanha, I would have already won that battle because that Poliwrath wouldn't have been able to touch Delta Parasect, period.  I'm gonna have to have a good, looooonnnngggg talk with Delta Parasect later about using moves that fit the situation, though.  Not sure if they're trying to Spite me...not literally, of course...or if they're just not used to battling because everything in the Safari Zone, including pokemon like Arbok, seems to flee from them on sight."

Gallade vaults down as well to get back to Nathan's side at this point.  He gives Nathan a comforting pat on the back, then turns to properly greet Angela himself with a courteous nod.  He's eyeing her carefully, though...he did still catch wind of a little of what was going on between her and Spira, after all...it's hard to miss emotions like that when nobody else in the area is experiencing them.

Nathan sighs again, then shakes Angela's hand just to be polite as well.  He doesn't have any reason to vent his frustration with both himself and Delta Parasect on her (And hopefully it stays that way).  "Nathan.  Nathan Warren.  And I'd want to battle you because...? You obviously want to battle me badly enough to take extra effort to ask before anyone else does, but I'm gonna need to know why before I make a decision on that." The name sounds familiar to him, but he can't quite figure out why...

Shiva ends up being a little sad that things turned out that badly for Nathan that he lost the Cup against Harris, ah well. It was so promising! She would enjoy to come over to him to give him a reassuring pat on the shoulder as he too makes his way to watch the remaining matches, but since she cottoned on that he seems uncomfortable around her lately she chooses against doing that. Upon him having found a free seat in the audience Shiva waves to him and whispers a faint 'Good matches'.

Heart make a fierce face. "Exeggcute, no matter what, we going through it. And we end it. One way or another. Bullet Seed now! 5 times!"

(Using Will Point to ignore pain in this round)

Bullet Seed Accuracy: Dex (5) + Fight (4) + Brawl (3) - Pain (3) - Actions (5/6/7/8/9)=7D6/6D6/5D6/4D6/3D6
Damage: Power (1) + STR (4) + STAB (1) = 6D6
Effect: Successive Action.

(I meant that he's a little confused that she knows he's from 1925, oh well)

"I'm from Sinnoh, Hearthome City to be precise." wait a moment... "You basically just implied that you think I'm handsome. I'll remember that." He smirks smugly.

"Oh I see. I thought maybe you hadn't caught many obedient Pokemon. Some people don't prioritize very well. Sorry to lump you in with them. Really, I wouldn't miss the chance to use such a strange Pokemon either - and there have been stories about a ghostly mind-controlled Parasect for ages now. Pretty sure I've even seen it once or twice. Do you think there's more than one? Deltas don't always breed true..."

"Aren't journeying Trainers always looking to battle? Something in the eyes... But anyway, I'm the Gym Leader of Arrowroot Village. Angela? I don't know if anyone talks about me anymore, but I used to be kind of a big deal. I can give you an official badge if you beat me. I'll also tell you a secret, if you impress me. So yeah. Area 6 this week, outskirts of Elanor this weekend. Come find me."

Safari Cup - Heart 3 Round 3

Bullet Seed 1-5
(6)(6)(2)(1)(3)(5)(6)
(5)(5)(2)(4)(2)(5)
(1)(4)(2)(4)(4)
(5)(1)(5)(4)
(4)(3)(1) Hit five times!

(3)(3)(2), (3)(3)(4), (5)(5)(3) Lairon takes 3 dmg and faints! (6)(4)(4), (1)(1)(3) Just for fun, Exeggcute plants spores all around the arena where Lairon has fallen.

"A shame you don't know Autotomitize," says the Gentleman. "But I like you anyway."

That's some good revenge for Spira, but there's still another match to go!

Will Heart switch?
