The hail also stops. Charmeleon doesn't seem worried about the type disadvantage. He lost to Dagny, which was a type advantage, but with Nathan's help he's confident he can beat a Water type!

Saw that coming, and Nathan isn't worried about the type disadvantage either!  Nathan's got a plan, and he won't be dissuaded from it easily!

"Unfortunately, I didn't simply go into Charmeleon just because you had an Ice type out, and you lead with Alolan Ninetales to take any unsuspecting Steel or Poison types out early, right?  The psychology of this particular situation is a little more complex than simple type advantages.  Charmeleon, let's show 'er we aren't afraid of a simple type disadvantage!"

There's also a Conditional Evade: if Azumarill uses Rollout, Charmeleon will specifically Evade the last two hits of it (as they're the most inaccurate ones)

Nathan will use his one Potion immediately Fire Pledge goes off.  All remaining actions that follow will be Slash. 

As you might have guessed, Nathan wanted to make sure there was a water source nearby so the flames wouldn't get completely out of control.  He also brought Starmie to help with extinguishing them after the fact.

Oh and as for how the move looks...I was imagining that Charmeleon would punch the ground and that would cause pillars of flame to erupt across the battlefield.  Funny thing is that's exactly how a Pignite did it in the anime, too.  I'd link a gif showing it off, but I'm on mobile at the moment, so that'll have to wait until later.

Reminder: Charmeleon is holding an Eviolite, giving him +1 Defense so long as he doesn't evolve mid-battle!

Gothitelle is a little more forthcoming. She nods when you ask if it was the robed men, and she gives you a "maybe" wave when you ask if Keni is safe.

Shiva wasn't too suprised as Heart opened up about his psychic bird's prophecy; no, she was rather enthusiastic and curious about it. For a moment she looked between Heart and Xatu, then drew her starry-covered notebook from her stuff and asked Heart to repeat the prophecy once or twice for her to write it down. Roughly a minute she only stared at the words as the ink was still drying - then she smiled dearly to herself, sparkles ran over her irises for a moment. "The prophecy's of a Xatu appear to be more telling. 'Darkness shows the way to light', 'hero save', the entire last paragraph... It's not too hard to understand what it may mean!~ Everything points to the Ruins... Thank you for telling, Heart. Thank you too, Xatu." She closes her notebook and hugs it protectively.

As Heart's rage began to build up and boil at the sight of THEM on the Unfinished Card, Shiva was at first worried and almost scared, got ready to calm him down - but she quickly let go as he managed to control himself. She only listened in silence as he told his opinion about the Scim's motives, didn't respond to it herself: She herself wasn't too sure whether she'd agree. She doesn't seem to think that pitchblack about the Scimitars as Heart does, to a degree she even wanted to believe that they are 'only' trying to prevent that ominous disaster - they were just doing it their way. Either way, the traveling group and them are working against each other despite they MAY have the same goal - Shiva's feeling told her that it was only a matter of time until they'd clash. Only one of them could succeed. Only ONE of them could stand as the heros in the end, and the natural fae enthusiast was wishful to belong to those who will do so.

She's thankful as Heart took the role of updating the Cops about things, that wasn't really something she'd be up to do at the moment. She was more interested...in the Psychic Types... She DID hear as Heart spoke so openly about his families fate, but right here she had to hold back her tears of grief about that happening. She had to be strong now. She just HAD to.

(...) Heart then repeat the same profecy to Shiva. "We might need to return to Teazel Valley right away. Xatu is more stronger than before, and might teleport us two." (...)

Wither her gaze wandering over the scenery, the crowd and the houses, Shiva lets out an impercible sigh before quietly nodding to Heart about this suggestion. "You're probably right... The cops won't let us investigate ourselves for sure, and it would be better if we'd leave things to them for now. If anything will occur, we will know and notice - if we are indeed those chosen ones, we will definitely in some way." The weight in those last few words, it threathens to pull Shiva down, to squash her like a Caterpie in the beaks of a Pidgeot, but she managed to not let it win over her.

As they got ready to leave, Shiva continued. "Ah! But, if it's okay I'd prefer to teleport back to the valley with Helios here. *steps beside him and gently takes his hand* Every Pokemon's teleport is a bit different, and I'm used to his way - other ones tend to make me dizzy." She chuckles a bit in embarassment.

"And yes, we should indeed inform the others", Shiva coughs a bit, "ALL of them, we are one group, have you forgotten...? None gets left out. Not now though. Maybe not even right away, as I have unfortunately no real idea where they are dwelling. They shall hear about it as soon as possible... As soon as possible we should also get going, proceed our traveling. We shouldn't waste precious time, not now - we shouldn't rush either, however. But...", her face lights up a bit, "We could contact them asking when they'd be fine with traveling on! I mean... What keeps us from spending more time in the valley than necessary? I remember you... wanting a battle 'gainst me, though...?"

Shiva shares a serious look with Gothy, then averts her gaze again to stare at the robed figures on the card, her expression unreadable. "They... How far will they go? What is the prize they are willing to pay to succeed...? Lilith, dear one..." Shiva gently takes her hand to hold it in hers, to get a feeling of safety.

"Maybe, you say... I take that as neither him nor Nathan's uncle are in mortal danger at the moment. That's good to know indeed. Is there anythingelse that you'd like to tell me, anything more you'd like to add? We should leave and return to Teazel Valley, you see... We should soon travel on towards Elanor, would you agree?" Only if Lilith doesn't have anything notable to add Shiva is fine with teleporting back.

Heart sigh with the refuse of Xatu in answear any of his questions. "You wont make my life less difficult right?" But Heart was gladly to Lilith answear that question and give him hope about Keni. "At least there is a chance of him be still alive. But we need to be quick. Who knows what kind of dangers he is? I just hope we can save Keni and his Pokemon from be brainwash..." Say Heart having bad memories from the Pokemon those Scimitars brainwashed.

"About that profecy, the Knight line I have a idea it might talk about me or Nathan Gallade. My family used to be descendants of a long line of knights, so thats a clue. And Gallade is know as they Knight Pokemon. Or maybe it talk about something more. The Darkness Blade problably is refering to Honedege. He is a blade made of shadows (or Ghost) so it might mean that. Maybe."

Heart nod his head. "I agree. We must tell the others what we have found, and travel as much quick possible. I was having plans to challenge they Ghost-type Gym and also Angela, but with that news, I may need to delay my plans for when we return. I also ready to challenge you. Koa and Golett wait more time than necessary. Just let me go to the PC change my party for equip them with the right items. There is a few combinations I would like to test."

Terra lets out a *Sigh* of relief as he sees the Staryu flee, glad he was able to drop them from bullying Lunatone. He turned towards it, and gave the celestial being an welcoming smile.

"Hello. Name is Terra. Are you okay? Need healing, or.....something else?"

His expression then turned thoughtfully, before he slowly extended a hand out towards it, looking somewhat plantatiove.

".....Can you help me too n, Lunatone? Looking for something......special in crater .Big Important. ....Out of this world, like you. Is there something....like that here? If so, can you ....guide me to it? Or give directions?"

As Heart begins to theorize pretty openly about the prophecy his psychic bird made, Shiva listens with interest but eventually shakes her head: Not directly to disagree as her light smile seems to tell, but more in a way to silently say that she doesn't wish to speak her thoughts out loudly at the moment. She hugs her notebook a bit more close and quickly packs it away before it becomes awkward. Hehe!~ ^//^;


++ Flashforward to the third Encounter ++

It's still somewhat suprising for the natural fae enthusiast that anyone would directly as her for a battle, a battle against HER who doesn't feel that experienced in the field of Pokemon Battles as the others of the group seem to be. It's a bit embarassing for her, but a good portion of her is delighted over a request to be an opponent in a battle - and this shows as Shiva seems to be enthusiastic about this fight against Heart! She's smiling faintly even. :>

She's not too sure whether she's able to stand a chance against him however, she still appears to have the issues about her lagging behind a bit when it comes to Pokemon Fights - by now she knows that she doesn't lag behind as much as she believed she does. Her way to battle is just different than the one of the others!

Alola Vulpix is brought into Shiva's party in return for Helios, Items are switched around and a place somewhere in Teazel Valley is found that's ideal for the upcoming battle. A mild wind is blowing through Shiva's long hair and Cottonee's fluff, stirring up a few spring leaves across the place as the duo is waiting for the PUNisher to arrive at the scenery. A minimized Pokeball is already in her hand, her arms are loosely crossed, Cottonee quickly hops off of her dear Master's head and takes a place in front of her as she boldly stares up to Heart: 'Now come on, summon your dragon! I'll SLAY 'em faster than you can say 'dragonscale'!!~', the fluffball seems to speak.

"I... I can't say that I'm not a bit suprised about your desire to face me in a battle, Heart...", Shiva speaks up and has to avert her gaze to a super-interesting patch of grass beside her feet and fidgets a bit on the ribbon of her shirt, "But I much appreciate that as well. T-thank you! Well, let us start then, shall we?"

With a graceful movement of her hand an entirely white fox manifests from the tossed Ball, lightfootedly it lands on the ground beside the just as white wad of cotton. As the icy Vulpix spreads her six tails and raises her nose to point upwards for a moment as if to say 'Look at my precious and neat furcoat~',  clouds began to gather.

The cosmic's crescent's first 'explanation' is indeed too oblique for the sagely monk to understand, but their subsequent performance does click with him, causing his eyes to light up as he nodded his head.

"Oh.......they went back home, yes? Hm....glad to hear that. Hope they are okay now."

With that being said, he gestured to the crater, appearing curious and inquisitive.

"They may be gone, but did they.......leave anything behind here? Something special.....or not? Can you lead me to that, if it......exists?"

Regardless of the answer, Terra made another offer to the micro moon, this one more personal in nature.

"Lunatone, would you like to join my team? Do not have to worry about Staryu or other Pokemon from bullying you again. Not sure I would use you, but I promise to find you good home and person to look after you."

Nah, not gonna cancel it.  Nathan literally jumps for joy in the excitement, punching the air ala Mario as the evolution completes and the now fully evolved Char launches a celebratory (Blaze boosted and probably rather impressive looking) Flamethrower into the air as well!  Raaaawwwrrr!!!

"That's what I'm talkin' 'bout, Charizard!  Amazing job!  All that training's finally paid off, and we're one step closer to achieving your full powers!  Two, even!  I can feel our bond strengthening!  Now we need to work on getting you another opportunity to learn Blast Burn!"  Charizard now has 3/9 HP due to evolving, but his Defense drops back to 4 due to the Eviolite no longer affecting him.  His Disobedience also increases to 3, but he has 4 Loyalty, so it wouldn't be an issue even if he was as Disobedient as a usual Charizard!

Now that the tables have been turned, Nathan's got a confident smile on his face now as he turns to face Angela again from across the Sea of Fire.  "Two down, one to go.  So, who's coming out onto the battlefield next, Angela?  I know what I'm doing!"

Nathan is NOT switching.  He and Charizard are in a good position as the Sea of Fire rages across the battlefield.
