[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
Iron, I find it sweet that you're usually copying my RP-part into the Rounds of player-vs-player battles. :> My poor white fox though, sob

Okay, currently it's 8/9hp and +1 Dext for Koa (going first, no Leftovers according to Spirit) and 6/7hp and +3 Vitality for Cottonee, yikes. Orders incoming.

When the battle have over, Heart look upon the battlefield. A-Vulpix was defeated. Cottonee was hurt after receive the draconic power from Koa. Koa himself was a bit a bit hurted and weakned thanks to Baby Doll Eyes and Dazzling Gleam. And Golett have more severed wounds after his battle against Vulpix. But with Leftlovers he might recover. "That was a great match. And pretty tough too. Now its come to this: Cottonee vs Koa. I must say it was very clever Shiva in use Baby Doll Eyes to reduce Koa strengh. I think it was wise in my part use Dragon Dance to increase Koa speed and power to counter it. I still in type disavantage here."

"Koa can use his STAB move against Cottonee, but Cottonee have the same advantage with the bonus of be SE against Koa. So either anyone can faint in the next round. Thats gonna tough." Heart then open a smile. "But always like a great challenge. The nature of the dragons is always challenge the most difficult battles."

"There is a old saying in my family:"

"When a Dragon become trully powerfull, he begin not anymore challenge dragons, but to challenge the true angels from this world: The fairies. Only when a Dragon is able to fight the magic of the fairies, it is when they can unlock his true potential and gain a greater power above evolution."

"At least this is what the GrandMaster, my grandfather, used to say. I feel happy and honor to have meet you guys. And for of course to have a great friend and rival as you Shiva. You help me to grown as a person and a trainer. And to motivate me to not get behind you guys. Thank you." Heart bow in respect towards Shiva and Cottonee. And Koa do the same thing towards Cottonee. Koa feel to have find not only a rival, but a fairy he can call as a friend. And companion in battle. "Now...lets return our focus to this battle. This battle its far from over!"
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

I knew she'd have a Gardevoir!  She's too elegant to not have one!  Gallade gives the fellow member of his evolution line a courteous bow as soon as they come out.  Nathan simultaneously mirrors it, as he has the utmost respect for the Ralts evolution line, knowing how difficult it is to earn their trust and loyalty first hand.  Only those who are truly willing to be friends with their pokemon can unlock the full potential of a Gardevoir/Gallade.

Charizard, meanwhile, is simply ready and raring to go!  Even though he's hurt, he has the upper hand!  This is an opponent worth challenging, so he won't be holding anything back!

The Leader's Last!: Gym Leader's Last Pokemon - Pokemon Origins

"We're almost there, Charizard!  If you can't beat 'em, soften 'em up a little!!"

Charizard nods to Nathan, then launches his most powerful attack!  He'll make sure he leaves a lasting impression!!

Flamethrower 1, 2, 3, and 4 (non-lethal)
Acc: 13 - 2 Pain - 4/5/6/7 Actions = 7/6/5/4 D6
Dmg: 3 + 4 + STAB + 2 Blaze - 4 =  6 D6
Eff: Burn 1 (1)
Note: Charizard can't be burned via Synchronize due to being a Fire type

Conditional Evade: If Gardevoir attempts to use Hypnosis, try to Evade it if possible!  It's too much of an opportunity cost if the move hits, after all!
Evade: 13 base - 2 pain = 11 D6 base

Shiva vs Heart Round 2

It physically pains the natural fae enthusiast to see the white fox stagger and yelp after a fierly punch hits her right after her icy shards flew overhead of Golett, but at least the dragon that she asked for mercy left her alone: It's a small comfort indeed.

Shiva is fast to recall Vulpix back into her comfortable Ball with a stern expression, whispers some silent praise to her, gives it a small but dear peck that she hopes Vulpix will feel anyway and packs the Ball away. Mere seconds later it stops raining hailstones, Shiva was unfazed by the weather but max-floof-cottonee shakes some remaining icecrystals from her cotton. "Well played, Heart", she admitts as she smiles faintly and crosses her arms loosely. "You and Koa wished for a duel between dragon and fairy, so here you go!~ Cottonee, stay focused until the end despite your riled up emotions, and blow your foe away in some pink breeze please."

As Cottonee winds up, Shiva can see it: The side effect of the Ethereal Ribbon!! A small white bowtie was 'decorating' her beloved starter, it looked like those a Gothitelle wears. From it two long, loooong, almost 2 meter long white ribbons sprouted, the ends held in lightblue, darkblue and pink, sparkling and waving in the air to underline every movement of Cottonee. Shiva's not sure whether Heart is able to see them as well, maybe faintly like they're only a fragile illusion. To her however, they appear clear! She can sense that Cottonee is aware of this fata morgana as well.

Dragon Claw 1
(4)(2)(1)(6)(2)(3) (2)(1)
(3)(2) No damage this time.

Fairy Wind 1
(3)(3)(2)(6)(5)(2)(3)
(1)(1)(1) Koa takes 1 dmg 7/9hp -1 pain

Both Pokemon just start blasting at each other, racing to the finish.

Dragon Claw 2
(4)(3)(6)(2)(3)(4)
(5)(1) Cottonee takes 1 dmg 5/7hp -1 pain

Fairy Wind 2
(6)(4)(2)(4)(1)
(5)(1)(6) Koa takes 3 dmg 4/9hp -2 pain

Koa's type disadvantage is tiring him fast.

Dragon Claw 3
(1)(4)(1)(6)
(6)(3) Cottonee takes 1 dmg 4/7hp

Fairy Wind 3
(4)(3)(3)(6)(5)
(5)(3)(6) Koa takes 3 dmg 1/9hp -3 pain.

Dragon Claw 4
(5)(5)
(4)(5) Cottonee takes 2 dmg 2/7hp -2 pain It's really very close!

Fairy Wind 4
(3)(2) Cottonee missed! Koa has a couple chances!

Dragon Claw 5
(1) Oh no, he missed too!

Cottonee heals 1 hp from leftovers. 3/7hp.

Nathan laughs.  Somehow, he's not surprised.  He and Gallade both had a feeling that Angela was super close to her Gardevoir.  Close enough for Mega Evolution.

That, and Charizard did just a biiiiiit more than soften the ballroom dancer up, amazingly. He really has proven just how strong he is...from clutch crits to consistently maximum damage, he's easily been the star of this gym battle!

It's not over yet, though. Nathan holds up an Ultra Ball.  "So, you beat Grid, my pokemon most oriented to taking advantage of our speed.  You beat Charizard, one of my strongest pokemon in terms of brute force.  Now, you'll face my fastest pokemon!  Prepare yourself, for we intend to win this!"

He throws the Ultra Ball, and Calam appears on the battlefield! Normally, a Dark type would be a terrible choice for facing a Fairy type Gym Leader. But THIS time, it makes perfect sense!

For this Fairy should be very, very afraid of the Dark, and the (moon)light shining within it. Type advantages have meant very little to Nathan in this battle, ironically.

If Calam rolls a 4 or higher on the initiative, he's going first due to his massive +13 initiative bonus!

"Calam, let's end this!  She can't make her fourth move a non-attacking one if she wants to win!"

Calam leaps into the air and does a somersault as he tries to land a powerful blow with his tail, which is gleaming with a metallic sheen that appears to be reflecting moonlight somehow! Or is it just faintly glowing? It's kinda hard to tell...

Iron Tail 1 and 2 (spending [up to] 2 Will Points to add a success to each one! Nathan's not going to lose this one because he didn't give it his all!)
Acc: 7* Dex + 4 Fight + 3 Brawl - 3 Acc - 5/6 Actions + Will Point = 6/5 D6 + 1 success
Dmg: 4 Pow + 4 Str + SE = 8 D6 base + 1 damage (1 or more successes KOes!)
Eff: -1 Defense (3)
Note: 4 successes crits!
Note 2: Most Absol never learn this move, so Angela might not see it coming until it's too late!

Night Slash 3, 4, and 5
Acc: 14 - 7/8/9 = 7/6/5 D6
Dmg: 3 + 4 + STAB = 8 D6 base
Eff: High crit. 3 successes crits!

If Gardevoir uses Captivate on Calam, he's got some conditional orders that will replace his other actions (unless the second Iron Tail would KO guaranteed because of its SE damage):

"Use their own Strength against them!  They have no choice but to attack now!"

Me First 2, 3, 4, and 5
Acc: 7* + 4 + 2 Perform - 6/7/8/9 = 7/6/5/4 D6
Dmg: Opponent's Strength (5*) + Opponent's move power + Opponent's STAB + 1 from Me First - Opponent's defense
Eff: +1 Priority, but fails if the opponent doesn't use a damaging move.
Note: 4 successes on Me First's accuracy crits!
Note 2: And if Calam copies a Fairy move (and he probably will since he's weak to them), his wings made of moonlight will show up during the attack, too!

One more condition: If Me First copies a move that's Not Very Effective on Gardevoir, switch back to using Night Slash as normal.

Calam has a Sitrus Berry, and will eat it as soon as he's taken a total of 3 or more damage.  He's not taking any chances with this!

The mystical meter-long ribbons wave through the air in sync with Cottonee's pink dusty breeze, once or twice they were even touching Koa as it seemed - they went through the green dragon like they're nothing but a gust of wind though, like an illusion. As the tip of one ribbon touches Shiva's arm, she feels a tickling and warm sensation at the spot - it was fueling her with energy, with fighting spirit even, it was a bit as if she was able to see the bond to her fairies visually, if one likes to call it that way. Only she could see these ribbons so clearly.

Heart's and his dragon's bow towards her and her starter brought Shiva back to the current planet, for a moment awkward silence dwelled. Frankly, she was caught off-guard by the PUNisher's courtesy like an innocent Pokemon being caught by a stealthy Trainer, but that didn't mean she didn't appreciate it! In fact, she blushed a bit once more and failed to meet Heart's gaze. "Such nice words... Both your granddads and yours I mean! I can, well, I guess only reciprocate your words. I... I may not be THE battler like you others, but that's okay I guess. I won't let myself lagg behind anymore, if I want to excel I have to put effort into it, yes!" A determined expression washes over her as she takes an almost bold stance which Cottonee mirrors in pride. "Right, Cottonee? C'mon my dearest, it's not much anymore."

Gym Leader Angela vs Nathan Round 4

"Cripes, that's the fastest land Pokemon I've seen! No time to dodge... get ready to shout!"

Iron tail 1
(5)(5)(1)(5)(2)(6) (6*) Critical hit!
(3)(4)(4)(2)(2) Gardevoir faints! She returns to her base form before collapsing and being recalled into her Pokeball.

"A Steel move like that is perfect against Alolan Ninetales, who is almost out of energy. And Fire Pledge still burning. We can cut to the chase, the part where I declare you the victor! Congratulations, Nathan!"

"I have a few things for you. Here's the Staurolite Badge!" She gives you a holographic stone shaped like a plus sign.
http://www.crystalage.com/img/products/s...stal_1.jpg
"Staurolite is known as the Fairy Crystal. They can only be found in one portion of the Swamp, and nowhere else in Creshire. They form this shape naturally, because they are four crystals. Then we just imbue them with MSC to empower them a little, and you've got the most beautiful badge in Creshire. It makes your Pokemon a little more receptive to your orders, a little better at understanding what you mean. An underrated ability."

Staurolite Badge adds +.5 Insight.

"Here's a ring you can use to display your badge, or you can sell it for about $2000. Won't offend me if you just hock it. Trainer life is expensive if you aren't rich."

"Next, the Toxic TM. I keep a bunch of these on hand for the Pokemon I train against."

"Finally, for the secret I promised, you'll have to come visit me in Elanor. I'll show you something amazing which you'll find very convenient as an explorer."

Angela is worth 27 XP, trainer can round up.

Nathan defeated Gym Leader Angela!
